Feel free to ask, share an idea or setting-tips for our upcoming videos on the channel. In this video I did some detecting on land after a request from yt user: Kevin`s Chaos (hope you enjoyd it)
Considering the prize it go for its pretty good! Agree! Its probebly not the best out there for underwater but still I find alot. So with the simplex you got the choice. Land or underwater today🤷♂️😊
Nice video, nothing beats drifting through the water rooting for treasure and watching the sea life. Been trying to decide between a simplex and vanquish but I think the simplex may win because of the waterproofing aspect
Yeah, life in the sea is a pretty good bonus on top of metal detecting underwater. I see alot of fish and other animals. Its the best. I am very happy with the Simplex. Its cheap and easy to use. My first detector and thumbs up from me👍🏻👍🏻 Good luck with your decision. Hope you find out which one you want to go for👌😊
Congrats on your finds! Love the underwater footage. Good amount of coins, they look so much better than the ones on your beach. I enjoyed watching your video very much! Got a new subscriber here.👍 GL & HH
Thanks for your kind words. Its a pleasure for us to have you here🙏😊 I looked at your channel and liked what I saw. Soon 1000 sub. Congratz on that one👍🏻 Yeah, not often the coins in saltwater is a pretty sigth. But still I get the kick out of them. Easy to entertaine I gues😂 On land its better yes. But soon I will try out some freshwater places and hope to find some new cool things that is in a little better condition👌😊🙏
It works very well I think. It depends on the type of bottom conditions. A mixture of many different stones and things that are magnetic will give a little confusing effect and require a little more of the user. It works and you see what I mean in my movies. On the sandy plains it is very quiet and you pick up every little sound. You should have underwater headphones. Being such a cheap detector, there is no doubt that it works very well
My english isen't that strong. Please explain "plenty of dots". I am still running version 2.68. Haven't updated it yet. But I will do it soon. I sertently dont need more depth sensitivity searthing in water. And my Garrett pinpointer goes well with F3. So it would be for my use on land if I would update. Have you?
I think I heard they talking about rasing the volume between the machine and headphones on one of the new updates

@@Alex_Anders yes, I have it too, I use it at sea, it is great when it is waterproof, it was great when it was 2.68, then I made 2.77 and 2.78 updates, I can't use it in the sea, it gives a lot of signal. I talked to the macro they said that a new disc will be released soon and they will correct this error. I say that my friend will not update you ...
@ no shitting. That sucks! Glad you told me. Then I will not update it. I think it works great as it are. So thats why I haven't gotten any updates. Hope the new disk/coil will fix it for you👍🏻
hello friend, i want to ask you that it is safe to introduce simplex in salt water, do you need any water additive, and in what mode do you work in water, does ground balance need to be done, thanks a lot I'm a little skeptical about salt water with simplex?thnx
Like buddy and subscription! Finds super! With fiery iron greetings from colleagues from the glorious city of St. Petersburg! I hope for mutual subscriptions!
haha, yes, understand what you are thinking. It's an eel. Calm fish that does not hurt you as long as you do not mess with it. Then it can actually bite to protect itself. Thanks for the comment. Appreciate your contribution :-)
Settings on SIMPLEX: - Parkmode - G/B 0.00 - Iron volume 1 bar - Not discrimination, the first and 2 last ones. - Frequency shift F3 - Sensitivity 4/6 - Volume full. No headphones The white tape you see attached to the detector is because the water is very cold and I trying to prevent a leak in case the iron shrinks. Probebly not, but just for safty.
nice vid mate :) i just ordered a simplex , cant wait to get it in the water , so your video is great for me to see how it works underwater , i subbed , :)
Great to hear. Thanks for your kind words and sub🤗 Its a great machine and I hope you like to. Simplex have giving me alot of fun. Are you gonna put it out on your channel? Subbed back hoping you will😉
@@Alex_Anders yea mate , i been using a little PI -Iking 750 water detector , but its small and i need better , the simplex is all i can buy here in bali , so ill give it a go , thanks for the sub mate :)
@@SouthernCrossGO Ok, yeah, its a good machine for the price😊 And now, after waiting for a while, new coils is being shipped out next week! 2 of them. Looking forward to try one of them when I get to know them👍🏻😊
In the sea, I lose the input to the headphones if it is not in use. As an extra protection in addition to the plug/hood that hangs on the side. I use the detector a lot in salt water. I also always rinse the detector in fresh water after using it in salt water with lukewarm water. I have experienced condensation in the computer once when I used ice-cold water from the garden hose. Don't make that mistake again.
Thank you🤗 I did find alot coins. More then you see in the vid. The crab is called "taskekrabbe" in norwegian and tast delicious😋🦀🦀 Probebly not easy to pronounce in your language😜😆
Simplex is ok underwater. Its not the best detector for underwater detecting out there but considering the price I think you get alot for the money. Its works great and I always find alot of stuff☺👍
Yeah!🤙 Glad to have you here. We allready sub to you to. Its something about the water/ocean and the beach. Maybe because we have alot of it. But its lovely to detect it. Thanks for the suport man🤗🙏
Hi my friend from Greeksite of island Cyprus.i am your follower.look for more than 3 years I am hunting with my minelab safari.Last Monday I bought The siblex with the new version 2.78.Is really AMAZING.I want to advise you to get it.The reason is you have an extra depth (you will not needed,)You have another park mode that is really very fast and acurate,And the special thing that I notice is that...when hits bottle cups the nrs become crazy.change to low end to high.really believe me.i hunting in very trushy areas.this feture will help you...this way i thimk Deus only have this feture.Best regards my friend..My minelab is resting now...sorry for my English...
Your comment didn't go thrue. Saw it first now. I got the latest vers. now. Same vers. as you. Looking forward to try it out. Glad you think it works great (Haven't got time to try it out yet). But gonna take my Simplex out again for ride soon👌👌
Settings on SIMPLEX: - Parkmode - G/B 0.00 - Iron volume 1 bar - Not discrimination, the first and 2 last ones. - Frequency shift F3 - Sensitivity 4/6 - Volume full. Use park mode 2 and low sensitivity. High sensitivity creates a lot of unnecessary noise and you end up more confused. Hope you find your valuables and wish you all happiness and luck😁🤞
Thank you very much for your kind words☺️🙏 Yes, its another world under there. Very fun hunting underwater and you just never know whats next. Thats what keep me going. Thanks for sub and suporting our channel!😊🤗
Glad you enjoy the vid and thanks for subscribing🤗 Thats more important then the music☺️ The Garrett AT pinpointer is pretty good for my use. Its waterproof. But there is no point in using to much money on the pinpointer. So if nokta pinpointeris cheaper and have good reviews I would go for that one.
Hello Fidykk i have a question about you diving equipment i see you are not using a diving tank how you breath you have some compressor that are you using ?? (sorry about my writing im from Spain and i dont write perfectly)
Hello, I use NemobyBlu3 in this vid. Its a divingcompresor with a regulator in the end. Goes down to 3m or 10feet. The same as youtuber michael Olivier use if you know about him. Very practical. Easy to carry and last for about 60-90min. Rechargeable battery👌
@@Alex_Anders yes i see it i gonna buy it now the problem is that i use my Simplex + only about 50cm to 1m depth im scared if i use it to 3m becouse here in spain the water its very very salty if you can recomend me how to protect better the machine
@@galengadjev2336 I use some very strong tape around the plugs to protect it against the saltwater. Its not said anywhere thats this is necessary but I know for a fact that saltwater eats up everything thats exposed for it.
Hello. Did you took this video in a sea or lake. İf you took in sea which version your simplex. İ bought simplex 2.77. but i used one time at sea. Thousand signals. Even vibration mode is terrible. İ can not hear and feel Which one real signal. Do you have an advice
This is in saltwater+dry sand on land. In this vid. I use vers. 2.68. Now I have vers. 2.78. When I am in the water I use parkmode. No gb. On dry sand I use parkmode 2+gb. Turn down the sensitivity to 20-40% Some places is difficult and full of magnetic, mineralization things. Other places more quiet. Tell how this works for you👍
I like the tool you use to breathe underwater, did you make it yourself? how did you make it? Did you have no problem with getting the simplex speaker running underwater? Very good video friend I liked it a lot, congratulations for your good content!
No, I used nemo by blue. Sold it on after some use. It made too much noise and I used it too little. Simplex can be heard quite well underwater if the sea is not too rough. I prefer it. Because with headphones you disappear completely and it becomes dangerous in relation to the surroundings around you. For example boat, jet ski, paddlers. But it will be an individual decision at every single place I go to. No problem without headphones, I think
@@TheHoodieStore I use garrett underwater headphones. I got my local musicstore to cut the end of it and change it over to nokta makro connector. The adapter you can buy beside simplex. This was back in time with vers. 2.68 having trouble with volume being to low. Today with 2.78 I recommend nokta underwater headphones. Since volume is no longer an issue anymore
I dont know. Never used their kruzer. But what I do know is that simplex can find goldrings (nuggets I dont know) 1. I have had many diffrent gold rings under the coil to try out how its sounds and what type vdi turns up. Just for fun. Thick and thin ones. Good signals when you hold it under and svipe. 2. Many diffrent peoples have put out pictures of goldringsfinds on the Simplex facebook group. So, if you trace up, the group; nokta/makro/simplex. Owners, News, Reviews&finds You will find alot of good help from people with alot of experience👍🏻👍🏻
Not in the field. But! I rinsed the detector with ice cold water from the garden hose after using it in salt water (in summertime) Ended up with condensation in the computer. Rinse it exclusively in temperate water after that episode.
You get a lot for your money regarding simplex. Easy to use. Works well above and below water. I've fallen in love with the machine. I'm probably not alone in that either. Its a nice device😊👍
This is my settings on SIMPLEX: - Parkmode 1 - G/B 0.00 - Iron volume 1 bar - Not discrimination, the first and 2 last ones. - Frequency shift F3 - Sensitivity 4/6 - Volume full. No headphones The white tape you see attached to the detector is because the water is very cold and I trying to prevent a leak in case the iron shrinks. Probebly not, but just for safty.
@@Alex_Anders Thank you very much, I made park 1 and tried beach mode. With all the balance around 1.3. And it keeps showing me ID numbers 18-20 everywhere.
@@purpurnikomarac235 Yeah, sometimes my simplex does not like the ground underwater. If there is to much mineralization mixed in the ground. Sand is of course the best to detect over. Easy to read the tones. But I try to understand the tones. How to separate between ghost signals and real deal. Just have to go over some spots again and again and listen for the clean tones.
once in the summer when it was quite hot I flushed the simplex with ice cold water from the garden hose after being in salt water. Then there was condensation in the computer. So I abruptly stopped using that method. Continued to wash it in the shower with lukewarm water. Otherwise no other problems👍
We each had our nemo by blue. Now we've sold them both. We did not need them. We used them so little that we wanted to sell them and spend the money on something else. Have you seen Michael Oliver? He uses Nemo all the time.
Hi! How are Garrett's headphones connected? Is the plug converted to a 6 or 3.5 mm adapter? Or how? And the water is salty in the video? Although, since the flounder swam, it should be salty!))
Yes, salty water. Every detector vid. On this channel is so far! I use garrett underwater headphones. I got my local musicstore to cut the end of it and change it over to nokta makro connector. The adapter you can buy beside simplex. This was back in time with vers. 2.68 having trouble with volume being to low. Today with 2.78 I recommend nokta underwater headphones. Volume is no longer an issue.
@@Alex_Anders And what is the sea (reservoir) in which you plunged? Do you enable the" salt " mode or how do you set up the device? I have fresh water everywhere, far from the seas. That's what I'm interested in.
@@Kirill78Region never had it in freshwater. But I gues I would use the same settings there. I like parkmode 2 (the old parkmode on 2.68 with lower sensitivity then park 1 on 2.78 ). And crank down sensitivity even more down if necessary. Gb set to 0.00. I know from magnetfishing in Norway. We have alot magnetic stuff in our freshwater. So I dont know how my simplex deals with that issue. Please let me know how it goes if you go out!
@@Alex_Anders I walked on fresh water with a Simplex. He behaves very calmly, without any interference. Here is a video of my departure, you can watch: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4in4kUm3bNE.html I didn't go Deep, I didn't go under the water, because I don't have a wetsuit yet, and it was already cold for walking on water. By next summer I want to buy, I will go to the depth. We have the Gulf of Finland, which is part of the Baltic sea. The salinity of the Black sea is 18%, the Mediterranean is 36-39%, and the salinity of the Gulf ranges from 0.2 to 9%. I was on it only with my XP ORX, then I was still surprised why it was running on water...I forgot it was a little salty..)))
Settings on SIMPLEX: - Parkmode - G/B 0.00 - Iron volume 1 bar - Not discrimination, the first and 2 last ones. - Frequency shift F3 - Sensitivity 4/6 - Volume full This is my "standard" settings. But if there is less minerals in the ground I can put on more sensitivity, change the not discrimination. I also know many like to use field mode underwater. I guess it depends on what you like using yourself. I perifer parkmode. One guy in here just said that the new update made the detector produce more chattering. Just letting you know. Check it up if you like taking it underwater
Settings on SIMPLEX: - Parkmode - G/B 0.00 - Iron volume 1 bar - Not discrimination, the first and 2 last ones. - Frequency shift F3 - Sensitivity 4/6 - Volume full. No headphones In the vid. I use vers. 2.68. Sand with small amont of rocks vs places with only rocks has less interferens on detector is my experience. Sensitivity is important to regulate. Witch vers. do you have?
@@Alex_Anders i use the newest versión 2.78, but i use all metal, balance 0.00, sencibility 4/6, even so it gives me many false signs. I think the sea it very mineralized an the sand wet. In the sand it is stable. I think the 2.68 was great whith the factory coil. I create the New updates work better whit the smaller coils.
@@ethanalvarado6865 ok, first, you should try out park mode 2, witch is the old parkmode in 2.68 with lower sensitivity then park 1. Nokta says beachmode underwater but sorry. I have tried and I do not get along with that mode. With parkmode 2 I find coins, rings, etc. I like and trust that mode. And plus its what I am most used to work with underwater. The ground underwater is very different and some places I have experienced that it is almost impossible to detect because of mineralizayions. Useally alot of very small different rocks will be seen on these places here in Norway where I detect. Take some coins and rings with you next time. Do some small checks with them underwater. Digg down a coin and use different modes and sensitivitys over it. Find your favorite. Please keep me updated👍🏻
@@ruilla87 Norway? Its not very difficult. I have put out a video of the hole prosess on facebookgroup nokta/makro simplex owners/news/reviews & finds. Search for "headphones underwater". Just find a guy who can solder wires. He will do it in 5min.
Which vers. do you run? 2.68, 2.77 or 2.78? Someone says that 2.78 is more sensitiv than 2.68 in saltwater. That 2.68 was better. I use 2.68. Gb 0.00. Low sensitivity. But I have upgraded to 2.78 now and kinda look forward to test it out. Some places have more mineralizations then others aswell. Simplex dont like that. If you get problems with that try to ground balance it underwater and see if that work
@@Alex_Anders so far it was most settled on all metal mode, but I've had sensitivity pretty high. So I'll try out tomorrow again on beach 0.0gb and sensitivity half way. Some people recommend park mode instead of beach for the sea.
@@JoseAguirre-ol7me I have never read anywhere that simplex has limited time underwater. So for my part, I have never thought about this and had it under water as long as I have been out. Everything from 1 hour to 2 hours in a row. It has gone just fine. I have had mine underwater this way over 20 times.
