Nice vid. So sad to see the coastline eroding like that but mother nature is unforgiving. There was a local detectorist near me in n.devon that found something, called the police and bomb squad were scrambled from Plymouth only to find that it was a large coffee can. He felt silly but he still did the right thing. Enjoyed your vid, thank you for sharing ATB...Kev
Nice vid as ever and a shame the other Detectorists beat you it! ☹️ but always worth a dig after a big storm. I had a similar experience detecting once, I’ll keep it short, it was a WWII training mortar, I told the farmer, he called the police, they came then the bomb squad came, we evacuated the livestock and they dug a big hole and the farmer’s daughter was allowed to detonate it remotely!!! So, yes you did the right thing in calling the police even if it was a no show the next day, at least they are aware of it 👍👍👍
A lot of iron age coin have come from that field in the 90s and out at low tide, That beach was used for D-day training, plus had lot of Beach scaffolding erected in 1940
Calling the police was definitely the right thing to do Aaron. You never know do you. Last thing you want is for someone to be injured or killed. Enjoyed your video thank you. Be safe and I'll be looking forward to your next one. Your friend on the other side of the pond.
always enjoy the vids - great candour and light hearted way which makes it a pleasure to watch - disappointed the cops didnt turn up and is a reflection of possibly no desire to check for the public good even if it was a false alarm better to do that than find a dead body imho - happy swinging your wand !
New viewer here, this video popped up on my big screen tonight while I was browsing detecting videos to watch. Not a lot of finds, but I really enjoyed your calm talking, and how you showed the beach as it was last week, getting pounded. Just a very calming video! Glad you called the item in, let those folks make the decision of what to do now. Hit the subscribe button and the bell- new viewer!!!! Rob Florida Thunder / Diggin' Florida w/ Rob!
You did the right thing, It happens quite alot here along the Blackpool coast, 90% of the time it is a bomb. I've found thousands of bullets and where there's bullets theres usually bombs 😱. I liked that decorated piece of metal, was it brass? Looks cool 👍 great video as always 😁
Anglo-Detecting Unearthing Our Past The white phosphorous munitions are particularly nasty when exposed to air.Morecambe bay was a hotspot,to coin a phrase.
So exciting! With conditions like that, you may even find a hammered deep down there. Good chance honestly. So much exposed there, great time to detect it! Good luck on the next from Scott and Huntress Kimmie
@@SouthCoastDetecting Brilliant! I've been looking at those metal washer types with external loop on ebay, but they don't ship to north of Scotland. Your idea even better, thank you!
how do yo have beach front property that hasn't been developed with 20 story motels and wealthy person walled in house compounds? I have come across ordnance on the beach during my tenure as a beach patrol officer here in the states
I was waiting for a bang! Lol Mate well done. I'd have done the same and almost have on occasion, but managed to rule out any munitions. Obviously with hole filling in so quick it's very hard to get a glimpse without touching it. And if it was a bomb. You don't wanna be near it obvs. Good call Aaron. Any update now?
Any updates?? We are really keen to find out what it was. And I'm really interested in your numbers for that thing, as I've a Simplex and live near a beach that was used for D day practises. Live ordnance found there all the time, be good to know what to avoid and possible call in!
Thank you so much for the update! I keep checking your channel every day to see if there are any new (Simplex or bomb update) videos. I am subscribed and belled, but it takes ages for bell notification to come through from any of my subscriptions. Thank you for all you do, looking forward to the next!
You snooze you loose 😂 told ya last week get back down to that spot on the next low tide to scoop up the goodies. Would have liked to seen a clear picture of your suspect bomb👍
I'm guessing either they didnt turn up at all, or you weren't allowed to film lol That was unbelievable that sand shift, it was massive.. Great video bud..👍
Always worth a call, odd they didn't show up but may have come back the day after. Pretty sure I'll get some more grenades in the summer lol. Good video shame others may have beaten you to the goodies this time, but on to the next
Hey, do you get a interference with the simplex when you turn on your pinpointer? I have a big issue with it I switch frequency and it still happens 🤷♂️ I have a nokta makro pinpointer as well
Lol in Russia they just find WWII cases of shells, bombs, bullets. They throw them around and one video I watched they set up a campfire to dry the bombs :D
The police will turn up with their tape and note pads once its exploded! in the meantime they have probably spent several hours documenting everything and making sure they have covered themselves
No not really, I was gutted to see other people there detecting but as long as someone saved what ever history was hidden under those stones that’s cool with me.
He dosent own beach so he has no rite to challenge say or even have opinion what other detectors do truth fully. Also most start out with cheaper detectors either get bug or dont progress to better machines. So in truth you or comment is bullshit. Every one needs start some were. It's not filling in holes that gives all detectors a bad name.
