Bryron Caplan, you are truly wonderful for posting this video and to understand the true meaning of a black man and woman for putting on his suit every year for carnival time, on Super Sunday,Saint Joseph's Night and Jazz Fest.
Thank you for your kind and generous words. I know that i could only capture a tiny fraction of the essence of the event. Still, it was a wonderful day!
+Byron Caplan This is awesome Byron thanks for posting this. I grew up in New Orleans out in the 3rd ward in Lakeview and this brings back a lot of great memories. We used to go every year and see the Indians. I'm sure you know the Neville Brothers. I grew up with Art's youngest son Ian, we went to school together and that whole family is apart of the Wild Tchoupitoulas Tribe from way uptown in the 13th ward. Their uncle Big Chief Jolly is a legend uptown he ran the 13th ward! I know this is a little off topic but when I shipped out to the Navy, Aaron Cyril and Ian Neville played at my going away party and when I was honorably discharged in 06' Ian and Ivan's band Dumpstaphunk played at my coming home party. This a real gem you have here and thanks for sharing it man! Cant wait for Carnival 2016 I can taste the king cakes now! Come back soon to our Sweet Ole' Crescent City! NOLA Till I Die!!!! Iko Iko andeJockamo fenno a nandee Jockamo fee nah nay!!
I'm making a multimedia piece about police brutality. I'm wondering if I can use some footage/ audio. I can credit you. Let me know if you're interested in collaborating.
