Thank you so much for narrative the last mission of Lee Lue uncle Nom Yee Xiong. A few years ago I came across this legendary Laotian pilot uncle Kaphem and was able to exchange a couple of emails with him. I told him that Lee Lue was and still is my idol and hero as I growing up here in the US. He told me if I ever find myself in California then go visit him and he will tell me the last mission.

a great story, a great hero! It has been so many years ago. but, it seems like it has not been that long either. listening to this story, it reminds me now of when i was in an elementary school in Laos; one morning we came to school, there was a picture of lee lue with a t-28 airplane. It was shown to us by our teacher and announced that he died while was piloting and bombing the enemies. His picture was hung on one of the walls in our school from that day on. He was one of the greatest pilot at the time and died for the country. there were news all over on the lao radio too at the time about lee lue.

This is my fifth time listening to this version of Lee Lue and his last mission and i never get bored. I heard many stories about this legendary Hmong War Hero but none can compare to the explicit details you had given. It was such a sad but triumphant moment indeed. GVP must have been so sad to lose this wonderful pilot and Lee Lue's family, OMG i cannot imagine their pain and sorrows. May he be remember this way always, for many generations to come and please, keep your war stories coming. I love listening to them and can't wait for the next episode.
