I had been contacted by a few recruiters from Serbia, Hungary and Bulgaria. Took a look around here in the US and told them hell yes I would relocate. Interviews and Technical Assessments are done and now just waiting to see who offers what.

Great info, Tim! We need to check out your stay when in Bansko this summer. We love Bansko. Those cherries look delicious, and the vegetables are some of the tastiest we have had in some time.

Interesting video, Tim. Bulgaria wasn't on my radar. How did you find the language barrier and friendliness of the locals? Could the locals speak English and were they receptive to foreigners?

Many of the young people speak English because they learned in school and/or they have worked in another country. The older people not so much, but Bansko is a ski town in winter so most of the restaurant menus are in English and you can use Google Translate to read things otherwise. I just got a little anxiety at the bus station when I realized all the signs were in the local language, including bus company names and destinations, but I figured it out eventually with the help of my phone. Older Bulgarians don't exactly have a reputation for being smiling and outgoing, but that's true for a lot of countries in this part of the world, especially ex-Communist ones.
