Yeah, at the end of the day it's still a keyboard, a keyboard I want, but it's hard to justify spending that much on a board. I know custom mechanicals can be expensive, but my current one was still $200 and I felt that was a lot
@@arts3802people e pende 300+ on concerts, restaurants, etc. You can argue ethics of that, but at the end of the day, value is subjective. There will be people that love these kinds of gadgets and will buy them.
@@arts3802 I was struggling with around 100 Euros (a little over 100 in USD). - Sure, that's for ones that aren't SUPER-special, though still, I'm talking about Keychrons that have quite some premium features. But I feel they're a great balance of "premium" while still being reasonably affordable, and you can still customize them. - After all, indeed, it's a tool for productivity, at least for me. - But knowing that I already got three years out of my more "generic" mechanical keyboard that was like 75 USD (and it would probably last decades more), I think it's a worthwhile investment. - I'm also very picky when it comes to layouts and such, but while this one here is close (and you could remap it), the fact that it doesn't have Home and End on it, but does have PgUp/Down before those, makes it a "no" for me, and it's also short on keys in general. - I can put knobs on a Keychron-board. I can put use the timer on my phone or PC. - This doesn't really add much.
Loved the screen. But I think knobs are not placed correctly. Current design has rotation mechanism which means the knobs are placed on z axis. But it will more natural to have them as mouse scroll wheels (on x axis or y axis) Hope that at some point you fix this. Good luck!
350 for that is laughably steep. there are literally customizable gaming keyboard with customizable screen, knobs, switches (optical switches not mechanical shit).
I think it's going to be my favorite keyboard. It's a design that I really like and it's modern. I live in South Korea, so it's a bit expensive, but I want to save money and buy it. ik its expensive than other things. so i wanna buy that if it launched and i have enough to buy that keyboard (thx for reads my long my opinion)
What's "boutique" about this?... They added some knobs and a screen?... Other cheaper boards have that now. - This is their more "generic" board, "for everyone" as they say, which the price makes it not so much. - Also, their other ones, which are actually "boutique", with the open PCBs and acrylic base and modularity and all that, are more expensive than this as well.
