Nomifactory CEu Ep. 5: The Wiremill and Bender are Here! 

I think steam grinder is important (I regret not making it) but you should first focus on certain basic machines that really safe resources instead of time. It's really frustrating to have to go on a mining trip just for 1 piece of Redstone. 😢 Additionally I recommend always having some tools (wrench and wire cutter) in your inv so you don't have to run through your base searching the crafting tables for them.

If you want furnace fuel you can always use the sugarcane from your farm, and for the steam the grinder that's a macerator that does 8 items in parallel, but it *_does not_* give any byproducts, those are only gotten from HV+ machines, but anyways progress will ramp up very quickly now that you have those first machines and won't need to mine for resources as much, there is also DML coming up which will give you infinite Iron,Copper,Tin... very excited to see what's next :D

Hi, enjoying the series so far! At risk of sharing possibly unwanted advice (if you feel things are getting backseaty in here, please please just ignore this, above all play it your way and have fun!) I would like to share a tip I found super useful during the pre-AE2 stage (though you seem to be more organized, so it might not help that much) You can place a GT workbench thing adjacent to a drawer controller for what's effectively an early bargain bin ae2 terminal - the GT workbench will be able to craft using items from the drawer network as needed, effectively equivalent to placing a storage crate next to a workbench except you can just keep adding storage and hold all your items in it. Can even use controller slaves to attach many GT workbenches if you want to lock recipes! I found this super useful early on as I have what's called a skill issue and am bad at keeping chests/crates organized, so having one central storage even early on helped. Might be less useful to you. It really helped me though!

When it comes to resources in Nomi CEu, I would recommend getting an LV, or MV mining drill, once you can. While DME is very powerful, it might be easier to just mine some resources before you truly start automating them, as the Gregtech drills are very powerful and long-lasting

You should add in CEu into your title. Nomifactory and Nomifactory CEu are actually different packs that use different versions of gregtech. The normal Nomifactory uses the official version whereas Nomifactory CEu uses the community edition. That's all I got for you lmao. I know next to nothing about gregtech myself.

you shouldn't be afraid to spend nomicoins, they're very free and you're gonna get a "bounty board", its just a bulletin board where u have some quests in there and have to submit some items like ender widget, wood widget for coins. so never be afraid to spend your coins

The hot key you wanted when you were trying to find out what the Bending Machine did was “u” (think, “uses”). Like “r” for Recipe, “u” will tell you what it’s for.

a good rule of thumb for anything gregtech is to always craft components in bulk. especially when you start getting into higher voltages, youll start needing things like circuits by the stack. GT has a nasty habit of unexpectedly scaling

When you get your first ender dust you want to get the enderio item conduit and get one drawer on each side of machine to craft multiple stack of material of different source

You should really make a crafting calculator, it made complex crafting recipes so much easier for me. You need to figure out how to use it though.

Machine! The tech part in gregtech is here, and there will only be more to come. For the record, you have sugarcane for fuel, which is basically free at this point. Not efficient, but free. Coal into coal coke is fine...? You are about to get the Alloy Smelter, so the only real use (steel production) is outdated pretty soon. Getting it now is a bit late imo, but if you feel like it is worth it go ahead. Steam macrator for rudimentary ore processing is needed, and save resource. Ore processing is...complicated but for now just think of it like any other tech mod, pulverize for double, smelt them All GT machine auto output, they dont auto input though. For now just set the output face to a crate (with a wrench, right clicking to any of the side will spin the output there and hit the auto ouput), insert through hopper at the top and throw a few stack of tin/copper for it to process. Steel into steel plate, wrought iron into wrought iron plate. Batch crafting! You will soon realize how much resource you will need, thankfully DME will be the carrier for the majority of the game, though you wont have access to it just yet. For now, mine a lot of resource, throw them to be processed (and double if you rush grinder) and try to push more machine. Keep those pbf running for the time being. Excited for more episode!

I'd like to know which version of the mod pack you're playing. I played on Nomifactory CEu, v1.7-alpha-2a, Normal Mode.

The steam macerator is better cause it get 8 item at half the rate and i guess it give secondary output and not lv or mc macerator so yes its worth ut but you need at least 2 to not wait forever

Don't craft obsidian furnace they have mutch less storage space and i think two diamond furnaces are faster anyways
