I used this song in a video if mine and they have claimed copyright. Which of these should I suggest to RU-vid? Original content The video is my original content and I own all the rights to it. Licence I have permission or a licence to use the content claimed in my video. Fair use I have significantly transformed the content claimed in my video; the video is protected by fair use, fair dealing or similar exceptions to copyright. Public domain The content claimed in my video is in the public domain and is no longer protected by copyright.

@@RosieAndre Hey Rosie, I think you can try "I have permission or a licence to use the content claimed in my video." As Wanderlust is under creative licence. I reported the fake video/artist on youtube and I also contacted the distributor using by the fake artist to try to fix the problem. I Hope it will be fix soon, i'm sorry about that.

I've got a claim as well. I've disputed it. Can someone just steal your music and get away with it?

Hi there again! Any update about this situation? Another of my monetized videos where I also used your song received a claim, now in total I have 2 😭 this is so frustrating! I contacted the YT staff and as you said it was for nothing, as always they were useless and all what they say was: “Thanks for reaching out. Apologies for the delay. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'll explain it. Copyright owners can use a system called Content ID to easily identify and manage their content on RU-vid. Videos uploaded to RU-vid are scanned against a database of files that have been submitted to us by content owners. RU-vid only grants Content ID to copyright owners who meet specific criteria. To be approved, they must own exclusive rights to a substantial body of original material that is frequently uploaded by the RU-vid creator community. RU-vid also sets explicit guidelines on how to use Content ID. We monitor Content ID use and disputes on an ongoing basis to make sure these guidelines are followed. Content owners who repeatedly make erroneous claims can have their Content ID access disabled and their partnership with RU-vid terminated. For now, maybe you can change the song of your video, or don't monetize it, I don't know try to do the best for you it's not a problem if you decide to change the song for now. I understand you, I had also sent an email to YT support explaining the situation, I have tried to change the song directly from the YT platform but I cannot fix it appropriately and is one of my most viewed videos on my channel. Hopefully this can be fixed soon, is a beautiful track and he literally destroyed it with a super bad quality. Pls keep us informed about the situation through the description box on your video. I’ll keep following it. Meanwhile, I think I’ll demonetize it because I can’t replace the song and fix the audio on my video directly from the YT platform.

​@@BeryIstanbulTips RU-vid can't do anything, that's the reason why i try to do something with the distributor, because even if youtube remove the video, the copyright is still active. Really annoying but I try my best to fix it.

It's not me, someone stole my track and upload it with an other name, I'm trying to fix it, I report it on youtube for now. You can contest the claim. This person is a thief, it's a shame to do that. I'm sorry about that dude !

@@ViralHattrix For now you can contest the claim but RU-vid can't do nothing about it, I have to act with the distributor, and i'm currently trying my best to fix the problem. So maybe you can demonetize your videos, or mute the song, or change the song idk. I'm sorry about that I hope it will be fixed in the next days.
