Something I feel might be an interesting nuance to "Gira Gira" that not many non-japanese speakers know, is that it's a clever play on words. While the definition search you guys did on the sound effect is technically correct, it specifically is used for a "dirty" type of sparkle. Typically when something is sparkling brightly, the sound effect used is "kira kira" which comes with a "pretty" or "beautifully shining" connotation. "Gira gira" on the other hand is utilized for dull shines such as a rusted metal that is shining, coming with a connotation that yes, it is shiny, but it's not pristinely and aesthetically beautiful. Ado's song there ends off with her stating essentially that although she doesn't shine brightly in the stereotypical or societally-expected way, she still wants to shine nonetheless, just in her own way. Although a lot of the lyrics seem to hate on herself, I think it ends off in a nice way of acceptance of being okay with how you are regardless of how society rejects you. Hope that little nuance is interesting to anyone else :D

Ado wrote "Useewa" as a protest against the polite, uptight nature of Japanese society. Everyone is too stuck up and stiff, and she was over it. Such a brilliant song. Great react, love the channel!

Ado's entire vibe can be summed up in two words: she's her She got that ENERGY I think yall would LOVE Godish; Ado absolutely spazzes there. Definitely the craziest vocal work I've ever heard on a single song

If you want to know how insane her vocals can be, her cover of "God-ish" is a great example! She can go from incredibly high to extremely low in a milisecond

You guys mentioned how japan’s concerts were super quiet before the artist go out on stage and how respectful it is and it made me think of the Olympics that were in Japan, more specifically the volleyball event. Japan literally had people from their own country, (Japanese) in the crowd cheering on teams from other countries so it wouldn’t feel biased or anything like that and I think stuff like the concert and this are amazing examples of Japanese culture

Glad you guys like Ado's music, but I still have to let you know that Ado is basically just a singer, a vocalist. Most of her songs and lyrics are made and written by many other famous japanese musicians. So actually It's not Ado but musicians and lyricists behind each song the ones who try to combat, to say something through the music, and Ado is the spokesperson for them. But still, what Ado does to express the feelings and her skills are definitely excellent

I'd definitely recommend reacting to her music in the One Piece film. Though everything Ado makes are bangers, so just more Ado is great too

Odo is one of specially designed song, every verse are different pattern. It's like a cake with every flavor attached in different side of it.

The most amazing part about her is the variety and range of voice she can do alone first time i listened to her i thought she was a whole group of person singing and was completely blown away when i found out its just HER 1 person singing

A lot of people, if not alll, who work on her songs are vocaloid producers. Before signing to a label and debuting, she got her name out there by covering songs and working these vocaloid producers and got big within that community.

I read that last one as pride. Accepting the terrible shit you feel and being strong specifically in spite of it. I feel tears but an overwhelming sense of determination. Resolute.

Definitely give listen to Ado's "Eien No Akuruhi" when given the chance! It's the "Answer Song" to "Gira Gira" ! It's also VERY different to the songs you've listened to so far but just as powerful! It's crazy just how well Ado's voice can fit so well with songs that might not even seem like would be her "style!" She's so very versatile!

If you guys do a part 2 of this, you should definitely include a song called "Eien No Akuruhi". The third song you reacted to in this video (Gira Gira), was posted on Valentines day, where it's tradition in Japan for girls to give gifts to the men. Eien No Akuruhi was posted on a holiday in Japan called "White Day" which is where men give reciprocal gifts back to the women. In this way, Eien No Akuruhi is like a part 2 of Gira Gira which is basically consoling the character and telling them that they are beautiful despite what they might believe.

Just based on some of the stuff you guys liked before, I think you'd really enjoy the old Trigun opening. I would personally love for you guys to listen to Shinda! which is from one of this seasons anime. I think the full music video does the song more justice, but the anime opening is good too.

I highly recommend Ali, specifically Never Say Goodbye by Ali feat. Mummy-D for the anime "Golden Kamuy. Although I would probably suggest just watching ALL openings from Golden Kamuy (1-4) because there is barely one that is technically "bad". But Never Say Goodbye is honestly INSANE. Also, fun factoid, the guy who does the rap segments (Mummy-D) is like 50+ yrs old, so you'd be surprised what tricks this old dog can still play; and play VERY well.

If you want to check out more of her music, i also recommend looking at some of her cover songs. Kimi no Taion blew me away and it will always be my favorite video she has ever recorded. She started out doing Vocaloid covers (HUGE topic for another day) and this song was her first ever cover she uploaded to RU-vid. She decided to redo the cover 4 years later as a little anniversary. Even in your own time, listening to it will absolutely sweep you off your feet.

Ado is NOT anime music lol... she just used animation as her MV since she doesn't want to show her face. She got popular before big anime like One Piece used her as OP singers. J-POP is J-POP and anime music is a small part of it.

Try "Am I the controversy". She made that right after her One piece:red gone platinum over in Japan. One of the funnier "flip my haters" songs. She also have some new song earlier this month but the whole Oshi no ko's "idol" song is still dominating Japan after it's 5-6 weeks now? BTW, The one piece album peaked at #7 on US Billboard World. They recently release a vinyl version of it - so you know she make it big... hopefully Ado doesn't go to similar route like Daoko did when Daoko had success first few releases, then she did more standard pop songs instead fully commit to her own unique style.
