@@vvv2k12 some yogis were known to have been so engrossed in Samadhi that they did not notice ants nest over them and bite them. We are nowhere close, but let's say my wife cheated on me - I am unhappy only as long as I mind. And I mind only as long as I identify with or am attached to this person that I call myself! If I don't engage with my thoughts, I soon find myself engrossed in the consciousness behind the "I".

@@vvv2k12 To point to the extreme you can be assured of more suffering than need be until that point. The complete elimination of suffering is not only impossible in this realm but if that is one's goal you have already made your bed of nails. I just want to travel lighter.

@@bmahajan6472 there are hundreds of advaita vedanta swamis who speak hindi in youtube but only few swamis in english. let hinduism spread to non hindi speakers too.

@@rocky821 True, but I have not come across a swami who is explaining vedanta as good as Swami Sarvapriyananda, may be you can suggest me some names. I am not requesting him to start speaking in a language other than English. I am just requesting him to get his lectures dubbed in others languages too. The dubbing can be done by other person as well. There are many people in south who doesn't understand hindi & english both.

brother, the videos are managed by his team and not by himself personally. Also dubbing requires knowledge of other languages, and if they tried to still dub, there may be loss of info. Best possible thing is what u can do is to provide subtitles in the language u are strong .

I agree that Consciousness cannot be objectified through our mind and said to be existing as a substance inside objects as materialists seem to believe. However, Consciousness exists not only inside but also outside all objects, simultaneously. All objects are verily Consciousness appearing with name and/or form. Consciousness, however, exists free of the limitations of “inside” and “outside” since these concepts are merely spatial appearances of Consciousness. Also, I submit that any statement that begins with “If Consciousness is …..” is an oxymoron since we must necessarily accept the existence of Consciousness to posit the existence of Consciousness!

@@rsr9200 i would say all space and time explanations full in the case of consciousness since consciousness is ina different dimension of the space time paradigms and both space and time collapse into consciousness and don't exist at this plane. It is as if a table can exist in mind but mind cannot in a table to illustrate the above observation.

@@rsr9200 you are correct. Consciousness exists in space time and also in all things and beings of the universe because it is the cause of everything which includes space and time. This is similar to saying that snake exists in the rope but we cannot say rope exists on the snake because the snake is a figment of imagination and is mithya or untrue. The truth is that in truth no object exists but appears to exist by the power of Maya which cannot be defined either true or false and hence called mithya and it means that as long as we see the thing exists but on closer analysis and in truth does not exist. So for a person who has this knowledge, though things appear they would look like a Mirage. Here again let me caution that all examples do not explain the truth in totality and have to be viewed beyond the example similar to guiding a person to see the branch of a tree to get to see the moon. When I say consciousness exists in all things and beings, i refer to the ultimate consciousness and not the reflected consciousness called jivathma which again borrows the property of consciousness to project things and beings using the ultimate consciousness as the causative base. Such a jivathma is present in all logically identified by us in all beings but not in things which we call as insentient. Also as per vedas, this ultimate consciousness cannot be correctly or fully understood by logic because logic fails to give us the realisation of reality and it can only say what is not real. So advaitha can only be understood by sabdha (sound) pramana. Here pramana is a source of knowledge like our sense organs. Here the source of knowledge is only vedas. And logic is used to counter any other explantation and nothing can counter the Veda pramana which again could be verified by direct knowledge called "Aparoksha jnana' ., (which is like an astronaut going on to a space ship and seeing that Earth is round and goddess around the sun whereas alok along he knows the same truth to almost certainty by study of the books. But inspite of reading all books a person cannot be said aS having direct knowledge of spherical shape of the earth.

@@bhattacharya6774 in his biographies its mentioned that he used to saw Buddha's face often and buddha used to visit him. many times buddha spoke through him. and K is not a wever of words. he speak plain and simple truth. many times his face used to change and atmosphere too and he used to say buddha was here. he speaks practical things like awareness and not any theories

The knower you talk of is limited to knowing objects -- there is the object (gross or subtle), there is the subject (knower) and there is (lower) knowledge that occurs to the knower whois the really the Mind (manas, buddhi, citta-memory and ahamkara-ego who claims doer-ship). The Self is the Pure Subject and is never perceived and is the real *I* that is you, so it is "more than 'known'.'" This is called the "higher knowledge" or the knowledge of the Self.

Or if you modify the equation, Consciousness = Experience - Objects; which means if you remove all worldly 🌎 objects including the fluctuations of mind (which is also an object) you become one with all pervading - in states of advanced meditation and Samadhi this can be gradually experienced

Or in other words objects are only known due to fluctuations (or coloring) of mind, as per sutra 4-17 in Patanjali yoga sutra तदु परागा पेक्षत्वा क्लच्चत्तस्य वस्तु ज्ञाता ज्ञातम्॥४- १७॥ This is also why the same object can be perceived differently by differ minds sutra 4-15
