The games are fun, but it could really depend on what you like. The first two games are more a top down sorta turn based RPG, the third and fourth are more straight forward action RPGs and 76 is an MMORPG. New Vegas is made by the same people who created the first two games in the style of the third, but some say that jumping into that one right off the bat is not the best for first timers to the franchise... but then again, it may be relevant to watching the TV show.
@@LynkCableTv Integrated circuitry never popularized in this world by the time the bombs fell, so that's why some stuff looks futuristic but at the same time is large in comparison to real world equivalents. The Pip-boy, the thing on their wrists, is a good example of this. It's a basically a smart watch but it's roughly the size of a tablet.
Not all Fallout games begin with you as a Vault dweller: sometimes, you're a courier, and sometimes you're a pre-bomb drop person who goes into a vault. Wherever you start, it usually will have something to do with a vault.
Was fun watching your reaction as a non fan! Lots of good questions as you watched, if you need any answers lemme know dude ;) but honestly going in blind is the most fun! I have game knowledge as a fan, but I did no research into the TV series before jumping in, and it was brilliant!
Not a spoiler, but almost every plot point is resolved by episode 8. So don't worry. ETA: In Fallout 4, you can get Power Arrmor pretty early on, and you can later join the Brotherhood of Steel. And yes, you can ride on the airship and the vertibirds. It'd be awesome, if I wanted to side with the BoS, which I don't. But your experience may vary. :D If you look closely, it seems that The Ghoul is still wearing his cowboy actor shirt.
If you want to play the games in timeline order play fallout 76, fallout, fallout tactics (non canon) fallout 2 , fallout 3, fallout New Vegas, fallout 4, fallout TV show
I absolutely love this video becuase you don't know much about the content. So, this is a blind watch as well which is awesome because you will get to see everything play out and get explained throughout without making assumptions with content knowledge.
Aside from the fact that something can fall under an umbrella of genres, the tv show just like the games are more of a post apocalyptic Sci-fi Western, with a retro futuristic setting. The franchise literally has Stimpacks which is widely used in various sci-fi works 😂
