only there is a correction ... He did not write the songs, these are the songs of Russian singers, but he only made new music for these songs (by the way, he did not make all the music).
It's a little confusing but atomic heart is a very interesting game, and it's in production for many years. Basically without any depths in the story. Game set in a world where Soviet Union still exist, do many things were invented by Soviets, and many robots as you can see. Level design is quite impressive since in gives that Soviet nostalgia, at least to me. Plus Soviet music with Mick Gordon is a hell of a combination. You may be confused by this gameplay trailer, but there are story trailer if I remember correctly.
It's easy to look at the level of technology and think it must me alternative present where USSR never broke. But if you go to their site it's actually alternative past set somewhere in the 60s. Weird, but that's what it says.
*In Atomic Heart Universe - it's 1950's in alternate history with polymer vaccination and hi-tech. It's not 'bout present, 'cause in one trailer of this game we can hear 'bout Gensec (General-Secretary) Churschev, who already has been vaccinated in this lore.
Mick gordon, the one who made the doom 2016, and doom eternal soundtrack is working on the soundtrack for atomic heart. A legendary game in the making, hopefully its actually comes out xd last trailer was 2 years ago, ps you should react to those, the graphics and vibes are crazy
@@Taizunx hopefully they stick to that date, based on their trailers and other dev interviews, this game is doing rly good graphic wise without even being developed in unreal 5. But passion and high expectations can come so far.
its not often you get in depth story trailers with game reveals, its either very vague cg trailers with no gameplay, or vague cg trailers with small snippets of gameplay. People often want to see gameplay more than story, cause even if the story is really good it has to be supported with a fun and interesting gameplay loop to keep the player invested, and even if the story isnt good at least the game is fun to play
This is Elden Ring in a nutshell. ER has a fantastic gameplay loop and vast combat sandbox with a lot of competent variety to choose from, making its minute-to-minute gameplay great fun and long lasting. This is what has made it so popular and highly rated, even though the game severely lacks in the story department (lore =/= story).
@@MrDante1047 Martin didn't have any involvment with the game's story (what little there is of it). He was responsible for world building elements and a lot of the lore (if you look closely, the Shattering is just another play on the multi-factional Civil War trope he employed with ASoIaF's War of the Five Kings), but he had nothing to do with the game's actual story - that was all Miyazaki.
@@felyxmillicent6538 Well I mean both Cyberpunk and Atomic Heart were stuck in development hell and delayed multiple times. The similarities are too close to not be skeptical.
@@Dremorich played the whole game and only enjoyed about half of it, storyline sucked ass and the combat was clunky as fuck. I did enjoy the puzzles though.

The lies of P looks to be amazing! It’s a new take on the story of Pinocchio, hence the title, “Lies of P”. I cannot wait for that game! Also, we need more cultural games! From the east, like China and India. Chinese and Indian mythology is an untapped well of lovely visuals and stories of legend.
@@HannaHsOverInvested I have a recommendation of some destiny 2 trailers you should watch. Light fall and the season of plunder trailer are phenomenal.
@@cayde-69 can you stop with destiny bullshit pls. It's too old now. Destiny here and there... I know most of you are huge fan of this but come on In almost every video I see comments about destiny for some reason 🤦🏻
Im especially excited for atomic heart, ive been watching their teaser trailers for 5 years now. Also gonna suggest you try some Frostpunk stuff again, the story trailers are really good. The main story trailer, the fall of winter home, last autumn and on the edge story trailers.
"Fine enough, I guess." I had the same reaction watching that trailer for the first time here. That game is inevitably gonna be compared to Ghost of Tsushima which is a masterpiece as well as to Black Myth Wukong (another AAA Chinese game on the way that genuinely looks incredible), so my guess is it won't do as well as it wants. The gameplay looks fun though.
18:59 Oh yeah that first trailer came out in 2014 at the Sony E3 Press Conference event. The game was in development hell for years but this looks extremally close to what the original game was going for. Both are set in L.A with leaked gameplay revealing that the original game would also be set in San Francisco as well. The original game looked much more cartoonish while this is going for a more realistic look yet it's keeping the over the top B movie feel. So yeah it's cool that they've kept the overall tone yet changes things up a bit for 2022.
The last of us Part 1 is a remake of the the first game, where they made it again, so that graphics and gameplay are similar to part 2. They also added a bunch of acessability options and changed Ellies face, so it looks a bit more like her actress (Ashley Johnson) and less like Elliot Page
@@TheBroGamer14082 he didn't, but originaly ellie looked a lot like him. Elliot (who was at the time working on Beyond Two Souls, which actually used his face as a model for the character he was playing) understandably wasn't super happy about that. They already changed it a bit for the actual game, so she still kinda looks like him, but its way more obvious in the first trailer and promo material we got. And now for the remake they changed it even more. So now you can actually see a lot of Ashley Johnson if you look at her face.
@@Olochgu ah okay then. well that's pretty cool! I'm guessing ashley johnson is ellie's va? and her face was used for TLOU2? also was page not happy because it doesnt align with his gender indentity?
@@TheBroGamer14082 back then Page still (at least publicly) identified as female, i don't think he held a grudge and he didn't try to sue or anything (unlike some other people *cough* Lindsay Lohan *cough* gta5 *cough*). It was just that they used his likenes as obvious inspiration without asking, and that the timing was bad as he was working on Beyond, which was just about to start with the marketing. and yeah, Ashey Johnson is ellies va, they didn't use her face for part 2 though (or at least not her whole face, maybe parts of it) I'm not sure if ellie in part 2 got an actual model for the face, like the other characters, or if they build it by hand.
Dead Island 2 to put it simply: Didn't have a *fun* time in development. shuffled between companies like a tennis match. But its comming out and the trailers are funny and promising. Time will tell.
I feel like if you were to watch the previous videos on Atomic Heart you would get more understanding of the plot of the game and why there are robots going haywire and plant monsters infecting humans. The game takes place around the mid-1900s when the Soviet Union was advancing in robotic technology and experimentation. Unfortunately, all is not as it seems like the experiments and robots are all turning against everyone, and it is up to the main character P-3 to "fix" everything by any means necessary. Of course, that is just some of the plot, there is a lot more to the story. The game is definitely on my wish list to own when it comes out. Anyways, great reaction overall and if you want something even crazier and funnier than Atomic Heart, there is a game called High on Life, which is also something I am looking forward to. There is a 25-minute gameplay trailer that is just absolutely funny to me. Feel free to react if you'd like.
Hey there, Hannah. Everyone's said this already, but I guess I just wanted to add my own voice to the pile. As you might have already noticed, the pattern of game trailers is that they're bombastic spectacles-and they're specifically tailored for the typical gamer's sensibilities. Every game has a story, and whether or not that story is good or bad means very little if the gameplay-the way you're getting from point A to point B in that story 85% of the time-isn't engaging or exciting. I suppose I could say that game trailers are less movie trailers and more like an infomercial about a car, a device or some other electronic and its features. Basically "This is our game, this is what you can do in it." rather than "This is our game, this is the story you'll be going through". Yes, there are games that do the whole separate 'gameplay and story trailers' shtick, but it's few and far between. I just watched your more recent video before this one, and I find it amusing that your reaction to gameplay is how a typical gamer might react to a trailer that has no gameplay at all and just 100% story. Obligatory "not every gamer, though", in case someone decides not to be my friend instead. Hahaha. Either way, you do you. Games-like every bit of media-are an artform, and art is subjective :)
Just a heads up for games like the Dead Island 2 trailer, you may want to lower or mute the volume on trailers that use recognizable licensed music just to avoid copyright claims or pause a few second in between to comment/react Please watch the Playstation State of Play Showcase... there are trailers for Spiderman, Wolverine, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Like a Dragon, Ronin, Final Fantasy XVI and more.
Welcome to the crazy world of video game conventions! Where hopes are made and holds till the metaphorical ball drops! Not going to lie, "Where Winds Meet" looks kind of fun! I wonder if we're going to play their famous Robin Hood type character? and more zombie games...I'm holding my peace!
TlDR- Atomic heart you play AS KGB agent who goes to soviet facility where apparently robots went rogue. Its set in alternate history where soviet russians managed technological revolution
Hi hannah. Im not sure if you like scifi, but there is an upcoming game of the expanse. If you didnt watch that tv series u could try it on your other channel.
Recommendations? How about watching gameplay or a trailer for the Deadpool video game? or maybe Aliens VS Predator or Dead By Daylight Or if you want that "good times" vibe you got from Ratchet and Clank maybe try the updated versions of Destroy All Humans and Destroy All Humans 2? Plenty of fun there.

@@HannaHsOverInvested I'll explain the two dancing robots. The one with a jacket is carrying keys inside her. The one with the horn stabs the one in the jacket. The one with a horn cuts the one with a jacket open, and pulls the keys out of her. With each robot holding a key, the video ends. Those are nuclear launch keys. Both keys need to activate at the same time to launch a nuke. It's a security measure. I'm guessing by how absolutely extra and unnecessary those robots are being, the keys are probably for a REALLY big nuke, like world ending.
@@HannaHsOverInvested perhaps playing yourself one day will help you overcome that fear :) in the meantime keep up the great work and good luck in school :)
The only trailer that got me excited was Where Winds Meet because I was a big Wuxia fan since I was a kid watching my dad's old Kungfu movies. As soon as the hero paralyzed those dudes with chi strikes to there pressure points, I was like "CLASSIC".
I think it was something in the line of 'its a games convention but thats a very generic name and its not about the games, its about the players - the community! so we call it gamescom' also there was a 'games convention' in leipzig/germany before they reinvented themselfes and went to cologne.

Great seeing your reactions as always xD. Would love to see you react to *Forspoken*, I'm curious as to what your take on that will be. *Atlas Fallen* is another trailer that stood out (at least for me) from Gamescom. Happy to hear that you'll be studying, I wish you all the best in that endeavor.
You are kinda correct and kinda not with calling it gamescon, there used to be a gamescon, located in Leipzig, the gamescom, located in Cologne, is something of a successor to the gamescon. Its also now the biggest gaming convention in Europe.
If you want a nice goofy game to get started there's always Fall Guys. It's like a cartoony version of Takeshi's Castle or Total Wipeout. No story but silly fun.
This will probably be the growing norm for a while. Gamers have been complaining about trailers with little to no gameplay. So we might be witnessing the slow death of the age of beautiful cinematic trailers even though developers have never not produced gameplay trailers.
After this video i would realy like to see you watching every thing from Calisto Protocol. 🤣 Also yes the soundtrack of Atomic Heart turned to the DOOM one cause its made by the same guy, Mick Gordon.
I think a good way to sum up a trailer is to think more about it once it’s over. If somebody is gonna play that game atomic heart, we’re gonna watch the trailer than go… what!! Then re watch it and go “okay so I think this is an enemy, now what the hell are those twin people, why’d they stab each other?” Etc. It gives us questions and says “you think you can figure it out before we tell you? Okay bet” It’s like foreshadowing but… super in your face foreshadowing and it tells us it’s foreshadowing and says now try and find the part where it’s realized before it happens
That were some messy Trailers. Funny how you corrected yourself wrong again and again with GamescomXD Wish you your best on your future projects and keep up the great work:)
so I've been meaning to ask: what all did you do when you got published? what was the process? I'm writing a book myself and since im almost done i wanted to start looking at options for getting it out there
The places you spend money are an editor and a cover artist. You can go through 99 designs for a cover contest. Do your research on professional editors and maybe get a couple sample chapters before you pay for somebody to do the whole book. RU-vid the different types of edits that you need. Then when all of that is done and you have had beta readers and beta readers and beta readers, and maybe more than one editor, look up IngramSpark. Also start building an author platform now. Marketing is the worst part.
@@HannaHsOverInvested thankyou. definitely gave me a good starting point. building an author platform eh? thats a very good idea. any suggestions on how to go about doing that?
