21:20 I think everyone watching Episode 3 with their partners got an extra hand hold or couch snuggle watching this one. The value of simply having someone at your side is presented so raw. Very powerful storytelling, when it makes you reflect on the things that matter in life 😢

This show puts a lot of emphasis on showing small but very important details to the audience. Love that you guys pick up on those details. This episode is one for the books.

One of my favorite details is when Joel and Ellie show up, Joel notices the flower pots are dying and immediately knows something's wrong. I forget his exact line, but says something like 'Frank wouldn't let that happen'

I loved that you pointed out that Frank filled a hole in Bill‘s life both metaphorically and literally. Fantastic episode and reaction.

I love how Frank knew from the way Bill poured the wine, Bill would never hold the bottle that way letting his hand warm the bottle

Bill and Frank already dead for 2 weeks before Joel and Ellie arrived at their house. At the end of Episode 1, the radio started to play an 80's song which indicates that no one uses Bill's computer for 2 weeks and it goes automatically play 80's song playlist on loop.

Bill knew how to survive but frank showed him how to live. The biggest divergence of the game but they made the change for the better. It made Bill into and inspiration to Joel instead of his shadowy hateful self in the game. You may lose when you love hut you stand to gain much more if you do. This was terribly beautiful

When the show was announced years ago, I said, this has the potential to be one of the best shows ever made, if they do it right. If they get the right people and do the game justice, this show can be special. They did it. I salute everyone working on this gem.

When a show can get u emotional over a sad romance story between 2 men can make u feel for it thats when you know it was a masterpiece

I can’t believe they made me feel for these characters in one episode. ONE EPISODE IS CRAZY. I really love this version of the characters but honestly I’m mad Bull died but sad. In the game Joel and Ellie meet Bill and Bill and Ellie have banter which is hilarious. I would’ve liked that interpretation but I’m really glad on what we got.

Your point at 26:30. The Last Of Us 1 and 2 are the most awarded video games of all time with only the 2nd game topping the first in that regard. No game has ever received as many game of the year awards as those two. Currently, imdb has The Last Of Us rated at 9.3. 9.4 is the highest rating any TV series of all time has ever received by the most major critic of movies & television series and they still have plenty of time to break that. Show's how amazing of a story and how beautifully written it is. As a straight man this love story told almost gave me Titanic vibes and they did it in 45-50 minutes. The acting, writing and production are all award worthy in just this episode.

All I can say is... Great reaction! Small side note: I think Ellie needed to dehumanize by cutting the forehead of that infected in the basement so she was able to put it out of it's misery. She wants to have the ability to not feel bad doing it or killing all the infected when it becomes necessary.

One of the best take and reactions of the 3rd episode!! Love your reaction during and AFTER the show. This is a brilliant piece of short film (1.2 hr long) where every little detail means something in the end. Shruti noticed the way Frank notices the "dust" in the beginning... and how Frank is picking up "gay-vibes" from Bill.. from his cooking, wine pairing knowledge, etc. And most importantly, the backstory of Bill and Frank encourages and pushes Joel to finally accepting Ellie as his responsibility to love and protect AT ALL COST. And the final scene of the "window" really reminds of the love story of Bill and Frank, but also signifies "hope" in the future.

I feel this episode encapsulates "Part 2", my eyes were almost blinded by tears at the end of that game. A Masterpiece, not not a fun experience. While there's a little change from the games in this episode, its for sure what the Last of Us is.

Where are episodes 1 and 2?

Awesome ep, just wished we got to see Bill and Ellies' back and forth banter. It's some the best interactions in the game.

Source material is 99% of the time way better. There's a reason it's being adapted... but Bill was just a normal "prepper" or "survivalist" in the game. He still was the same in this adaptation but it gives so much more depth than just the typical crazy basement dweller angle, clearly. The show has a much better Bill than the game does. And on both accounts, Bill was just a waypoint to get what they needed and move forward. This is probably the biggest departure the show has taken so far (other than how the Cordyceps work and spores and all that) and if this is the largest complaint then we know the show is pretty good
