Gintama is 80% comedy 20% action my favorite anime of all time and the main character Gintoki is my favorite character ever

Gintama is a looong journey, but it's completely worth it, it's the adventure of a lifetime. You get the laughs and the tears (but mostly laughs haha). There's no other anime like it, I guarantee it. Definitely react to 1 second from every episode of gintama, but in my opinion all the fights are better with context, so if that's something you care about then I wouldn't react to them seperately.

“There are so many characters” That’s literally another thing I love about gintama. There are so many side characters and you remember them all with the screen time they have. :))

Masterpice Gintama. No cap. This is my fav anime all time. Here goes one intro detail. No spoilers. In real life, Japan got invaded by Other countries and they forced Japan into the Globalization, they brought weapons, engines, electricity, and a lot of "new" things including new ways of thinking or customs. But There was a group of people in Japan that they tought that this change was not good or happening too fast. Terrorist groups, wars, and a lot of stuff happened during this period in Japan. The show is kinda about that same story, but instead the Aliens they call Amanto invaded Japan and forced them into the same change but... you know.... kinda futuristic and space related. Thats why you see this kinda old vibe in the anime but later a space ship or a lazer sword appears. I will comment with some videos of fightscenes. :D I think you will like this show. Is 50% comedy, 30% drama and cool llife learnings and Bushido thing. and 20% of one of the most savage fightscenes.

Gintama is the most unique anime Ive ever watched. And the most rewatchable too. :) because of all the comedy plus the serious arcs will hit you in the feels. And the duck character is my fav character of all time.

React to the fight Gintoki vs Oboro and also since episode 1 aliens (called amanto), and space travel have been a thing. This series takes place in the Edo period of Japan and before a war took place which nearing the end involved our main character Gintoki and his past comrades (the guy with the penguin is one of them). So yeah basically as you watch more of the series, you find out more about his past, traumas, etc. and it is very important to the serious moments of the plot although most of the series is comedy. The fights also are crazy especially the later half since they have great animation, music, and choreography. Also since the final movie came out in January to adapt the last manga chapters of the final arc the author finally confirmed Gintoki’s age which is 27 when the series began. We only knew he was in his mid to late 20s but there you go haha. Anyways check out some fights, amvs, and and the 30 endings of Gintama cause they are pretty good. And once again although this is mostly comedy they somehow make so many emotional moments, deaths, tragic back stories, etc and make it not feel forced. My favorite anime while my favorite manga is One Piece cause they just troll us viewers as well I know the voice actors have fun too especially with all the fourth wall breaks and the way they make fun of their own series. The duck is Elizabeth and even though I have read/watched the whole series uh it’s hard to explain what the hell it even is lmao like we know but at the same time we don’t and confuse ourselves the more we learn. The author Sorachi is just a troll so just be ready to see unpredictable stuff

I don't recommend watching the fight just like that since most are badly edited on youtube, and a lot of them require context And some (like Gintoki vs Takasugi, best fight in all anime imo) takes place over 2 episodes with 300 episode of build up lol

Gintama is like a Hard to get lady, at first she gives me a hard time and maybe make you give up. But if you keep watching her and never give up, you'll see that she has a LOT more to offer than just that. Gintama is one of my Big 10

That guys in black clothes are members of the police (shinsengumi) and they have different connection with main characters. In some episodes they want arrest them and in some they helping them in fight.

My favourite thing about Gintama is there's a ton of side characters, at first glance you'd think too much, but each side character is given their own arc's and not too far in they all feel like one big family. To this extent it almost seems like there's no side characters, but all main characters and the anime just happens to revolve around the Yorozuya or Odd Jobs crew.

Never noticed how calm and tamed the intros of Gintama are? The show is SoooOOOOoooooooo wild and crazy...

So to kind of explain whats going on, those guys in the black clothes are the Shinsengumi(samurai police), they arent bad, they are actually pretty good friends with Gintoki. also the person tied up was his teacher. kind of hard to go into details without spoiling anything.

Definetly one of the most bizarre shonen jump series and my favourite anime. My guy with the luffy profile pic already told you a synopsis (appreciate it) but i want to add that this show has a lot of references and when i say a lot i mean A LOT. Even the anime makes fun of itself saying that the references they are using are hard even for japanese people to understand. Other than that if you want to watch a comedy show and you are not bothered by wacky animation at first 25-50 episodes (anime aired 2006? but the animators really did a great job), references, butt and dick jokes and a slow start because the cast is massive and first 25 episodes are mostly character introductions then I'd definetly recommend watching Gintama. Excited for endings, 1sec from every Gintama episode and top 10 fights (although they are heavily edited, contain spoilers, are outdated and number one is like 15 seconds because of the edits and every reactor is confused about that).

This anime is really good mostly comedic but there are also serious arcs which are on whole different tier, as its is mostly comedic you need to have a bit good knowledge about anime and bit of japanese culture to understand reference and jokes(this anime is 10/10 for me).

You missed the extra versions like there’s a dragon ball opening. Op 17v4 is better than op 17 that’s why I posted the playlist but other than that great vid!

I’ve watched all the episodes , read all the chapters , watched all the movies ( except the most recent one it isn’t available in the US yet ) and I can honestly say there’s nothing like gintama .... And all you need to watch gintama is a silver soul❤️

Honestly, the fighting is great when it happens but the comedy is where it's really at in this series. To this day, I don't think I've watched/read anything as funny as Gintama. You won't go wrong watching this.

Don't watch any fights from this and spoil yourself. The true importance of them comes from the context and makes them ten times better than anything you could possibly understand without the context and character development. Watch the show yourself before you ruin your own experience on accident. And most people say to skip the first two episodes but I personally think they're hilarious, a great way to throw you in the show, and they don't even feel like filler at all so if anything, please watch those. 2 episodes doesn't make much difference in a series as long as this. If you can react to op 17v4. Crunchyroll used version 1 for this video which has the worst visuals. (It's a bunch of scenes from the show strung together with some meh overlays). The visuals in V4 are completely redone and the one most people prefer. It's the ideal one to react to if you ever get the chance.
