The StarMed CASTAR helmets facilitate (NIV) non-invasive ventilatory support without a mask. This allows a clinician to access the patients face and allows increased comfort for the patient throughout their NIV treatment.
I wondered what these helmets were when seeing them on the news . I am a nurse and I have learnt something. they look way more user friendly for the patients than the older face mask. and less claustrophobic. well done on these wonderful life saving devices. Thankyou
Thanks Gaston. We appreciate all comments. Where CaStar can really come into its own is when providing NIV to patients who have damage to the head or face.
The hood is a CPAP and NIV patient interface for supplying positive pressure not only oxygen therapy. If you would like any further details please contact us or find further information at www.intersurgical.com/info/starmed
Thanks for your message. Some hood models can be used for bilevel non-invasive ventilation on appropriate equipment and with suitable breathing systems. Please contact your local office where someone will be able to discuss your requirements in more detail.
