This was so fun to watch!!! And really interesting to find out about whats going on in the song technical-wise cos i cant hear that stuff LOL It’s just really cool to find out and then actually hear what I’ve been missing all this time. It’s like I’m revisiting and learning more about my favourite songs which also just makes me like them even more now that I know how intricate and layered they are. super cool and i just love your reactions they’re so honest and fresh lol. Thank you so much for this and looking forward to seeing more of Seventeen from you!
You should check out kidult, falling flower(japanese ver.),don't listen in secret, heavens cloud, etc..these are some of my fav songs and You'll see their great vocals
Oh yeah copyright strikes are common for all their early MVs (Adore U, Mansae, Pretty U and of course, Very Nice). Their Japanese tracks, however, do NOT get copyright strikes and they are fantastic tracks, very worth checking out - Call Call Call (their Japanese debut), Happy Ending, Fallin' Flower, 24H, Hitori Janai, Ainochikara, and Dream. All pretty different vibes bc Seventeen are versatile kings
Bro everytime i heard bruno mars name in seventeen music reaction i freaking laugh cause i know woozi one of the main producers of seventeen song is a bruno mars fan
Seventeen are actually known for being a self producing group and they have been since debut. The member woozi is their main producer and he has had a hand in over 90% of their discography, and the ones he hasn't worked on mostly at least contain lyrics written by other members (the hip hop unit writes their own raps). Other members also sometimes are involved, esp lyrics, but woozi almost always also works with a company producer named bumzu (and the group PRISMFILTER) It's also really funny that you mentioned Bruno mars cause woozi absolutely loves him and has adored his music for a long time.
Thank you so much for reacting to SEVENTEEN!! As a Carat (Seventeen's Fandom name), I really love watching commentary videos from different producers since Seventeen is a self-produced Group. Welcome to the Diamond life!
Just wanted to give you a massive thank you on behalf of my fellow Carats (SEVENTEEN’s fandom name) for taking the time to listen to our boys and share the experience it with us. SVT are an extremely talented group and I hope whenever you have the chance you’re able to do a deeper dive into them ❤.
funny you say world reminds you of bruno mars, woozi (one of svt's members and their main producer/writer) is a big fan of him lol. loved your reaction, would love to see you react to more seventeen!
If you think their mixing is amazing on their original recorded tracks wait till you check out their live performances. They go insane with the mixing and ad-libs for those. Look up the videos and see how they take the originals and elevate them even more!
Seventeen are true all-rounders in the k-pop industry. They deliver amazing vocals and rap, wonderful choreography and great production. They are a self producing group and they have been since debut. They managed to single-handedly save their agency/company. They are truly talented.
"I thought maybe they weren't that good at singing" hehehehe - I love that honestly, because they were changing things up so much you really didn't know that it was all for the effect and the vibe of the song, right? So great. I'm glad to see you enjoying my top two groups, Red Velvet and Seventeen, these days
Thank you so so much for reacting to SVT ! Totally loved it! ALSO ! ㅎㅎ It would be cool too if you could react to the full “Sector 17” album, the last release of them as full album (if I’m not mistaken) for my taste it’s totally FIREEEE! And I think you will like it ! And if you want one that takes you flying to heaven with the vibes of B. Mars, listen Same Dream, Same Mind, Same Night... and then SEE YOU IN HEAVEN HAHAHA Keep going with your vids^^
u should check out fear! someone did a dissection of the instrumentals, and it's like a mix of 12 sounds, and rock with you is SO GOOD as well..sorry i can't pick man XD woozi is a genius! p.s (cheers, ash and gamebo1 has a LOT of autotune) if ur interested in gospel piano chords try snap shoot ^^ but for like a snippet of a bunch of their title song tracks, i recommend their killing voice performance, however if u want bsides, u should dive right in to an album listen. face the sun album is amazing.
If you like autotune, then I definitely recommend checking out Ash and Gam3 Bo1 from Seventeen. Another song from the same album called March also had the more hard-hitting sound like HOT. Be sure to check out the seventeenlyrics channel for the proper translation. Their lyric videos are also very aesthetically pleasing.
Fun fact, Woozi, SVT's producer, also does most of the backing vocals! You can hear him even on songs he doesn't perform, like Lilili Yabbay (performance team), Spider (Hoshi solo), and Hey Buddy (1997 members).
Ohh, was that him behind Joshua in the last chorus with the 'wooah'? It sounded like both woozi and Josh so i couldn't figure out who, but it does sound like Woozi a lot!
Thier old song are really good. I think you should check out thier title "home run",or "left and right" or "Home" or "Fear" I think it would be interesting for you as a prosedur because i think the songs that you listen here is to basic. Except for very nice.
Seventeen got few of the most talented vocalist and dancers of kpop industry. Specially their Main vocalist duo "Dokyeom and Seungkwan". You can say that they're just all-rounder.
Fun fact: Seventeen produces their own music. Particularly (but not only) the leader of the vocal unit, Woozi. They are well known as self-producing idols, which may seem common now (among 4th gen groups aka debuted in 2018 and after) but Seventeen were producing it even before, and I know there are other 3rd gen groups that self-produced from the start like GOT7, Monsta X, BTS but the sheer volume of Seventeen's songs that are self-produced... I think virtually every song has at least one member working on production (often Woozi and/or Vernon) even if it includes other producers, it doesn't exclude the members from production. Basically no one produces a track and then hands it to them; whether it's all self-produced or including another producer (e.g. BumZu) there will always be Seventeen members producing.
and when you realize that there isn't a Seventeen song that wasn't produced by Woozi, one of the members, who works together with Bumzu, a producer in their agency... together, these two have created a discography that spans 8 years - 4 full-length albums, 9 mini albums (usually between 5 and 7 songs on those), and several Japanese EPs, plus some solo projects... and it all started in Woozi's brain. what a genius. no wonder he got a special music production award in Korea, there's nobody his age (he's 26 at the moment) that's produced so many amazing songs... he must have at least 200 production credits to his name. that's a LOT for someone whose main job is to sing and perform those songs, learn choreo, do interviews, and film variety shows... like, he has so many others things to do besides sit in the studio but he practically lives there.
Ohh I'm sure you'll gonna enjoy discovering Seventeen's entire discography. I love watching producers react to seventeen because it highlights how great Woozi's music producing is.
Other than their killing voice which is really great, here are some song recommendations if ur interested: (it's really difficult to no list their whole discography so this is basically just a random list. They have a really diverse sound and are not afraid do change it up) Fear Home Clap Getting Closer Ready to love Cheers (svt leaders) Rock with you Fallin' flower (Japanese)
Reacting to FEAR, getting closer, hitori janai, rock with you, Shadow, home, Happy ending, HIT, Thanks, 24 hrs, Let me hear You say, Ash, and more songs SEVENTEEN
Haha funny you said you thought they maybe weren't that great at singing! Seventeen has some of the strongest vocalists in the kpop industry and that's saying something since they literally have tons of vocal POWERHOUSES. Seventeen is especially known for the incredibly complicated but synchronized and and amazing vocals! Glad you checked them out!
I'm sure it's been mentioned but Don't Wanna Cry includes great vocals music and the reason they're the synchronization kings! Habit and Kidult are great vocals too
Thanks for reviewing Seventeen, loved the insight and analysis. Since they are self produced they are really into their own songs and it shows with how intense their performances are. Their live vocals are insane too. I agree with others recommending their Killing Voice performance, you aren't allowed to lipsync there and it's a nice summary of their discography.
Woozi is a big fan of Bruno Mars, sir! I'm a fan, and yes, my favorite song is _World. I'm getting the same vibe as well, such an enjoyable song. Song to uplift your mood, no doubt
In case you like to listen to Seventeen with their real voices, you can see Killing Voice Seventeen. I also recommend songs (although some do not have MV but I consider them to be my favorites) 1. IF you leave me 2.Circles 3.Shadow 4. Fallin Flower (it's a song in Japanese) 5.Home;Run 6.Rock with you 7.Ready to Love 8. Home etc xD Anyways thank you so much for reaction to Seventeen. I am a music student but unfortunately I have lost part of my hearing but thanks to your reaction and breakdown I can know that there are more sounds behind what I can hear. I hope to see more reactions from you to Seventeen 😊✨
Thank you for reacting to SEVENTEEN. I love hearing your thoughts and ideas! Please react to CHEERS by SVT LEADERS. It's by the three leaders of SEVENTEEN.
some guys you complemented with nice vocals are actually rappers and woozi, the yellow haired one in hot is actually one of the main vocals.. not a rapper... so proud of my boys.. 😍
10:38 those vocals are Seventeen's main rapper, followed by the main and lead dancer singing "won't let you down". They aren't even in vocal unit and they sound like that! Also, the first 3 guys who started the song (one after the other) are the other three rappers. 15:24 - 15:34 that's the main rapper singing at the beginning of 'Darl+ing' 15:37 that's the lead rapper singing 16:15 that's the other lead rapper singing Then followed by the main dancer's vocals at 16:23 with the pretty harmonies in the back A mostly singing track, but the vocal unit hasn't even come in yet 16:33 main vocalist comes in, first member of the actual vocal team so far in the track 18:01 that's the other main rapper
Seventeen is that 1 group that once you listen to just 1 title track, then decided to get to know more about them in a deeper level and discover their discography, you will appreciate and fall in love with them and their work even more. Carats became carats and jumped into the fandom not because they became popular but because their music is great and top tier. And you will feel svt’s passion in their music and it resonates. Thats what i call organic growth. I suggest you also listen to Face the Sun/ Sector 17 bsides like Shadow, If You Leave Me, Circles, or Don Quixote and you will know what i mean. Thank you for this reaction!
