I always like to explain to people just how much self-produced Stray Kids is because I feel like it's a hard concept to grasp. So, to give an idea, this is their percentage of participation up to June 2022 in their music: 100% writing 93.3% composing 40.4% arranging. So, yeah it's a LOT. The producing unit is called "3racha" there are 3 Stray Kids members (Changbin, Han, Bang Chan). They work with the help of some others producers such as Versachoi (you'll often see him on the credits). I really recommend to also check out "Charmer" "Domino" and "Maniac" by them.

one thing about 3racha... they LOVE autotune. they absolutely love it and don't shy away from it. Chan many times does a breakdown on some song parts during his live streams and he often talks about production

Bangchan literally did venom's beat from scratch you can watch it in some clip here on yt or twt just search "bangchan making venom beat", that was like in 2020 i think, but the song came out this year with their album Oddinary

It is believed that it was with God's menu that the era of Stray Kids began in the form in which we know them today. Venom and Circus are different albums, with completely different ideas. Oddinari's album even has a trailer so unique that you can watch it an infinite number of times.

As many have mentioned, Stray Kids are self producing, by the subunit 3Racha. They have final artistic say on what they release, an unusual amount of freedom. They are also stellar collaborators, they work regularly with some of the best producers in the business, which is one of the ways they can be so prolific. For Venom I know they worked with the producer Dallas K, who made that trippy ripply beat out of a sample that Chan (leader of Stray Kids and also of 3Racha) had on his computer. Chan made the basic underlying beat. God's Menu was co-produced by Versachoi, who they work with a lot. Circus it looks as if they co-produced with EarAttack. Thunderous was co-produced with the team HotSauce. There is a cool interview with one of the HotSauce team members where he talks about working with 3Racha, he can't say enough good things about them, and keeps coming back to "they are just all so good...." while the interviewer is trying to get some dirt--"You mean ALL of them? What is it REALLY like working with them?" and the producer keeps going on about how they have such a good sense of how they want the track to end up sounding, they are so easy to work with, creative, etc. He works for the same company, JYPE, so maybe he's not allowed to say negative things about the company groups, but you get the sense that he would willingly talk about how great it is to work with them for hours, because he enjoys it so much. Chan, the leader of Stray Kids, has over 130 Korean copyright credits for composition, lyrics, arrangement etc, Changbin and Han each have over 110. (Someone's bound to correct me on this, that's fine--the numbers keep going up and I can't keep track). They each have their own credits on the songs they co-write/co-compose, which is the majority of their official releases. The rest of the group members also have multiple copyright credits, the 3Racha members actively encourage the other members to contribute and have been trying to get them writing and composing since early 2020 at least, some have taken classes to get more involved. Chan has a treasure trove of tracks, beats, completed songs, etc. on his laptop. Also, for some songs they recorded the vocals in Chan's personal studio. I don't believe any of these songs were recorded there, but several of their official releases had vocals recorded in "Channie's Room".

The fact that the only reason I started listening to skz was literally because of seeing the part of circus where they do the circus theme and appreciating how awesome it sounded

Their producer(s) are members Bang Chan, Changbin and Han - they are the main lyric writers, composers and arrangers, too. (Although by this point, 5 years after their debut, each of the other members have also participated in writing, composing and producing from time to time.). Back in 2017 before Stray Kids was even a full group yet, Bang Chan, Changbin and Han formed a rap unit called 3Racha. When the full 9-member team was finalized (one member, Woojin, left the group in 2019 and it's been an 8-member group ever since), 3Racha continued to write their own stuff for Stray Kids and self-produce it. Because of their obvious talent their management company, JYP Entertainment, took the HIGHLY unusual step of giving Stray Kids (who were mostly still teenagers at the time) full creative control. They do consult with other people for some songs as far as production. But Stray Kids are the real, true geniuses behind their own music.

3RACHA is the producing unit of the group, they are the youngest & most accredited 4th generation idols (Bangchan 139 songs, Changbin 124, Han 121 songs credited by KOMCA) .3racha take part in the production (writing, composing, arranging) of their songs even before skz's debut in 2018, but nowadays often the other members participate in the lyrics as well. When they go live here on yt or vlive (kpop idols video platform) they use to talk about the producing process of their songs, and sometimes even give us a sneak peak of unreleased song/songs for future albums, like some lyrics or beats they're working on

Chan has used animal samples in their songs multiple times. In a ‘Miroh’ you can hear a roar (assuming from a lion or tiger), in the original demo version it was an elephant sound and he brings in multiple animal samples for the kingdom version of ‘Miroh’ including birds and dogs. There is another song with a hawk or eagle call but I can’t remember the exact song. Then there are the songs with other samples like car horns, doors, squeaky springs (‘Hayday’) etc… and they always fit! It’s rather amazing, sometimes you don’t even notice those sounds are there until you hear the song a few times.

I mean, the lyrics of God's Menu explains why their sound and style jumps around from song to song. They experiment with all of their music, always wanting to find a new mix or sound. They always find a way to make their songs stand out. Im not they type to really listen to music a whole lot, but i could listen to Stray Kids all day and not get bored because they have such a wide variety
