They are not as intense or 'different' as some of the ones he's listened to, they have easy to follow rhythms and melodies and show some diversity in their sound. For Seventeen I'd recommend Fallin' Flower (how can you NOT like this song?!), Ima - Even if the world ends tomorrow, god of music, Darl+ing, Kidult, Our Dawn is Hotter Than Day, Flower (maybe iffy, but I love it lol) and Adore U is still one of my favorite songs by them even if its their debut song (its so catchy!) He may or may not like them, who knows, but based off the type of songs he's liked so far, this is what I would go with next. At the end of the day, if he doesn't like them all that much then no harm no foul. Kpop and music is diverse for a reason, you like some songs or artists more than others and that's okay.
