Update: Based on the comments I revisited the champions page on this part 2 video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MGbOagrQSVE.html Thank you everyone for watching! More cool content coming up
@@MrGuybrush Its really not as bad as ppl say it is. With around 160 champions there is always gonna be some that are stronger then others from patch to patch and some have abilitys that are just more annoying to play against but it really isent as bad as ppl make it out to be.
@@TheHunterOfYharnampeople in the League community like to overreact for the "memes". But if you look at it in perspective. League is literally the best at balancing champions with how much they do patch notes. No other online pvp games do patch notes, adjustments and updates as much as League of fkng Legends.
Yeh, and also they messid Vander, when LoL players all the season thinks about this strange things with him and make theory. Also Singed whom players remember more becouse of the game and understed that he not just a minor character. And I still have a question about the ret in the first series if is it Twich?
@@jerrromirrr5069i rewatched it the other day and even tho ive never played league, knowing what i do now about their lore i kept thinking about how insane that moment mustve been 😭
Missed Singed! He's never mentioned by name by any of the other characters in Arcane, but the subtitles and post-episode credits use his name. He's "the doctor" working with Silco at the beginning of the series and the man Viktor gets the shimmer from in Act 2.
@@MrGuybrush actually, Vander is in the game too, but his name is spoiler for season 2. League players (me included) understood who Vander is just listening to some interaction between a certain character and Jinx and Vi.
Of course they do but you just dont know what balancing means xD. If every Champ would be equally strong and balanced the game would start to die, cause there would be no patches and nothing interesting that would happen cause they would have to keep that state. So no new items, no new runes, no map changes, no new champions just nothing. League would just die if they would balance like this. They initiate new metas with there patches and then balance this meta to keep the game fresh and new. Everything else would lead into the games death.
Istg Lol players are so spoiled they have no idea how good Riot is at balancing this mess of an ancient game. Players from other multiplayer pvp games envy you.
Your arcane reactions were really dope from a Non-league player. Just a warning if you're worried about spoilers as you can see several characters aren't at their "final form" that they may reach at future seasons. I wouldn't worry too much about "spoilers" since all of this is open information that's been in the game for 10+ years. The writers know that and will have surprises for all of us, even the veteran league players :)
Oh wow thank you so much, this means a lot to me 🥺 I'm happy you enjoyed the reactions! Yeah I was worried about spoilers after this video but I bet by season 2 I will forget anyway haha 😂
@@MrGuybrush He forgot to mention that the League of Legends Worlds Championship is actually the biggest Esport event in the world too 👀. If you've never heard of it, I recommend you watch the opening ceremonies of each "Worlds" 🙂. They're all amazing, especially from 2017 forward.
@@MrGuybrush yea you need to check them out. worlds since 2016 has been within 3% viewership of the superbowl. take in its online only and no T.V. says alot.
Yeah viktor is a big spoiler if they will continue his story in seasson 2, and you also missed some champions like Singed and another one which i will not say but is related to Vander story
@@ESP_Blinks It is not hard, it is impossible. There was nothing indicating this until the show, very well hid canon, but i figured out he is in the game when someone called him the hound of the undercity, don+t know if that was when everyone else started to figute it out aswell.
@@MrGuybrush They've been working together as Piltover enforcers for ages, long before Arcane decided to spin it in a certain direction. Personally hoping they bring in Urgot next season though, there's a whole animation where the two of them fight this absolute juggernaut.
@@MrGuybrush to let you know arcane was a separate universe than the main universe but last year to make lore easier to understand they are making most of the universes all the core universe. meaning arcane is now cannon. it does mean some of the old lore is now thrown out but they want videos and other media to bet understood easier. there is still a few multiverse stuff out there but those are easy to tell they are not the main universe.
@@Lord_Numpty I mean, their relationship has been speculated on since Vi was introduced (I should know, I remember when she was launched). When you have them both on the same team, you get an icon that says, "Piltover's Finest," which used to be their portmanteau ship name in fanfic; before Arcane came out and people who hadn't played the game started calling their ship "Violyn" instead.
@@MrGuybrush Dont worry Ryze is connected to Arcane, since Heimer mentioned the "Rune Wars" and how civilizations were destroyed because of that. And well Ryze was part of that.
You missed Singed and Vander (although Vander has a different name in lol so you wouldn't be able to find him). Silco also showed up in a 'spin-off' game called TFT (he's not in this list).
@@MrGuybrush you might like "get jinxed", it's a decade old but tons of veteran players were talking about it around the same time arcane came out (because it's a cinematic entirely dedicated to powder/jinx)
I know this video is a month old but when u go back and look at the default vi and jinx splashart you can see the city in the background of vi is not damaged but jinx has the same city in her background this time damaged by her havoc
Fun Fact, all the Champions are older than Arcane :D They took the Lore of Pillover and maked a show about this. Yes this is Victor^^ You need to think, that everyone in the Show is younger than in the games. Its befor they all got summoned by the Summoner (us Players)
Fun Easter egg with Viktor in the show: the laser hand weapon that he uses in game is one of the things that Viktor and Jayce show to Heimerdinger. In the scene he accidentally shot a laser at the poro (white fluffy pet that Heimerdinger brought) and singes it.
I love how he completely missed that Vi's title is "The Piltovan enforcer" Now that Acane season two trailer is out it's not a spoiler anymore but we League players knew all along
The thing with Heimerdinger is his Rune Wars trauma relating to his Yordle magic is somewhat different between "League" and "Arcane". In "Arcane",he`s portrayed as more overtly anti-magic whilst in "League" he prefers to hide his magic from his fellow Pilties and other humans with glamor and encourages other Yordles like Ziggs to do the same.Aside from that, the "M`boys" and geekspeak are fairly consistent across both.
@@MrGuybrush That I'm not sure, but uh, you also missed Vander...(Im not gonna tell you who Vander is.... Because that would be a huge spoiler... you'll see eventually, when season two comes out that is.) Ps: What I said is still just a theory even for us(league players) Cause it hasn't been confirmed yet, however it is a theory with a lot of evidence, in the show, in the champion's lore, the fact that Vander took Shimmer before he died, and the fact that Singed(The doctor) is in the show.
from all the arcane reactions i have seen, youre the ONLY one to notice the rune mage that saved jayce was ryze, and belive me i watched alot since i noticed and was mad that not even one realized.
Ekko didn't have his rewind time skill yet in season 1. The cool little cutscene/music sequence between him and Jinx/Powder was an allusion to his time power that he'd be getting later, and it was just kind of showing that they played this game when they were kids, except it's just not a game anymore. I suppose you could say he remembered what to expect from her and how he'd get into melee range. He will probably have the time ability in season 2 since he was buddied up with Heimerdinger at the end of episode 9.
It's insane that you recognized Ryze without having played league at all, he is literally in the series for only a minute, but yeah he is the mage that teleports Jayce and his mother to safety
4:07 mage in league just means they scale more off AP (ability power) than AD (attack damage) they can be scientists or whatever, but mage is a whole class type of champions, they typically go mid lane but not always, some are jungle, some can be support. Quick rundown of the game: You got Top lane champs, usually filled with bruisers who can take a hit and dish some damage too, it is mostly a solo lane where you will be 1v1 most of the time with having to watch out for the jungler. Top is pretty interesting in that while bruisers are most likely, in truth if you are good enough with a champion, anyone is viable up there. It is a straight 1v1 most of the time and if you can outplay your enemy and avoid being surprised by the jungle you will win your lane in all likelihood. That does not mean it is easier though. Junglers are the people who often can sway the tide of the game, they roam in the jungle, thus the name, killing neutral enemies for gold and pulling ganks (surprise attacks) on people who are not paying attention or helping a lane who might be strugling to catch up some. Usually a good choice for team leader as they need the most map awareness and can make good calls with that intel. Mid lane is much like top lane in that they are 1v1, however they have to worry about ambushes from both sides. This leads them to often be mages as they have more range typically and they can then stay back and be safer. If mid lane gets ahead they often roam and assist like a jungle too as they are center stage and closest to assist next to possibly the jungle. As such they are also a good choice for leader, they tend to make good use of map awareness as well. Bot lane and Support, this is the coop lane pretty much. Bot lane is your Attack Damage Carry, or ADC, they like to think of themselves as the quarterback of the game... and honestly a good one could be considered that. They do a lot of damage, usually all damage in fact, heavy hitters who are all focused on attack damage (typically) the trade off is they tend to not be able to take a hit, so they often need help to get rolling. That is where Support comes in, the most versatile role, supports can be tanks, crowd controllers, healers, buffers, debuffers, anything that can help the ADC get kills, and that is their job at least until team fighting starts then they support everyone. The downside to this lane is that both ADC and Support share the same gold source, there are items to help this, but for the most part ADC gets all the gold they can to build faster, and Support just suffers... I mean supports. Good synergy is a must down here. Aside from that there are a few variations, but this is the main meta because it is the optimal and most common seen strategy. I have seen supports mid lane, I have seen double (one counters) jungle, support top, etc. but it is rare that people deviate from the meta honestly, so that is likely what you'd see. Now non meta picks on champions, that is more likely and personally I like creativity, so I am all for odd choices, but it can sometimes end in disaster.
Ryze is a runemage and 1 of the most powerful mages on Runterra from the lore and alot of ppl thought that it was him that saved Jayce but unless Riot planned on changing hes lore it couldent have been him. For one the silhouette we get of the mage looks to mutch human to be Ryze and he dosent have hes traditional scroll on him and in the show the mage is using a crystal to teleport them that he then gives to Jayce, Ryze is so powerful that he wouldent need to use an external amplifier like that crystal to teleport ppl around. Its mutch more likly that its an unknown mage that just happened to be passing by. 9:52 If u refer to the streamer Tyler1 then no, Hes mostly known for playing Draven.
You missed Twitch. He is the rat that was given the Shimmer serum and ate the cat in episode 1, and Singed is also a character you will recognize from the show.
@@PoisonVibe666 Twitch is a giant mutated rat from Zaun. I suppose their could be more than one giant mutated rat from Zaun in the show, but thats way more of a stretch than that simply being Twitch IMO.
@@palinozog658 That rat was just a test subject, we don't even know if it survived. It could be Twitch, but it also could not be. The fact that Twitch can actually speak makes me think it's not and there's more to Twitch than just being a rat that took shimmer.
7:50 The mage who saved Jayce could be Ryze but is more likely either a random mage or an Easter Egg for the "Summoner". The League of Legends game lore is/was(it might have changed) that we the players are called Summoners. We Summoners call upon Champions to do battle in an arena. The summoned Champions are Heroes, Legends, Deities, etc... from Runeterra. It is only an aspect or copy of the Champion that is summoned to be Avatar of us Summoners. In Arcane it is probably an unnamed mage to make sense. Ryze is a bit too powerful to be in that location + his blue skin. He is off doing things involving incredibly powerful magic. It could be a Summoner, so a player of the game from our world, but that would be bad for the lore of the world to have us running around in it. Still a fun Easter Egg to think about and a nod to the game and all the players.
They retconned that old Summoner lore a long time ago at this point, and tbh I'm glad they did, because it opened up a lot more freedom for them to create stories like Arcane. They don't need to make the game something you actually play in their fictional setting for the characters and the relationships between them to be compelling.
After the show came out, Riot ret-conned a lot of lore and made Arcane canon. So I guess the arcane skin is now the "real" look for these characters. Also, Vander might still be a champion. Theories about who he is might be a bit of a stretch, but some of them are plausible enough to happen in season 2.
So. The cool part of Arcane is, besides the overall lore foundation, the biggest thing taken from League was the team's specific experience making music videos to advertise the game. So a lot of the filming techniques they used, for say the Jinx and Ekko bridge fight, came from that unique background. For extra fun, I highly recommend first: looking up the character music themes (might be called "login screens"). Vi and Jinx offer vocaled ones, with Jinx's showing up in the show as an easter egg. Ekko's is a personal favorite. And the orange skin for Jinx, Odyssey, is a Guardians of the Galaxy universe they made. If you want to see a zany but not crazy very of Jinx, you should look at the video they made for that: Jinx is filming herself to introduce her crew to the audience. It's really well done.
Speaking as a long time league and WoW player, it was fuckin' delightful to watch this, haha. Also LoL was built on the bones of Warcraft 3 so when you say Jayce resembles Uther?? Yeaaaah, that's spot on accurate. You can sort of see which champs were re-modeled murlocs or gnomes [yordles] and which were likely WoW characters.
Haha I'm glad someone sees that as well! I guess from the Warcraft 3 DOTA days some things kinda stayed the same. They all took inspiration from each other right?
So "Singed" is the doctor that Viktor meets underground with the axolotl creature....and Vander has a suspiciously similar backstory to the werewolf character known as Warwick, but it's never been confirmed. You got everyone else though, however Silko is in the TFT game (an autochess spin off of LoL, that you can play as you download it when you download LoL, as a mini game, though he was only added AFTER his appearance in Arcane)
Yeah, I've been told about it. Let's see where things go! I talk more about that champion in here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-haehLN_ggB4.html
Vander is in the list, just under another name.. Also you missed Singed (the doctor) Ryze is the mage we see in the show and there's also a character named Twitch in this list who appeared in the show
Well, I don't know if it's official or not, but Ryze may be the person from the beginning, because he travels through space-time to save Runeterra (the world where Arcane takes place), because he has already witnessed the war that would end Runeterra, caused by the global runes, since then he travels through time trying to get them all to guard and protect them, while "fighting" with himself not to lose control of the runes and of himself (the brand was consumed by one of the runes in case anyone is curious to know)
Viktor is actually that character and Vander is Warwick, in some point of arcane he will be transformed into a werewolf. More characters you might see in the future are Renata, Singed was already in the series but no by name (one of the oldest champs). Ryze is the one major mage you mencioned and we will maybe see other characters from the Zaun area of league of legends. The thing is LOL stories are based in something called "champion lore" which is their story and the way their stories interact with each other, the series is just a "picture" of what the lores descrive with some "humanization" of the feelings.
A few you missed: Singed is the mad scientist that Viktor interacts with. Renata Glasc was made to be a stand-in for Silco. Some people theorize that Vander will turn into Warwick in season 2.
7:16 It's not confirmed who the mage was, but it's very unlikely for it to have been Ryze. Ryze already had blueish skin during the Rune Wars, which is the thing that traumatized Heimerdinger about magic. He's also never been seen with a staff.
I didn't though u would see Ryze or Viktor, but nice Eyes u got man, also u missed Singed (The confident of Cisco) and Warwick, the experiment of Singed, that u may recognize who it is... ❤
QUICK SPOILER AND A FUN FACT: The doctor in Arcane his name is Singed he's the one helping/teaching Viktor in the sewer. Vander is in League of Legends, his name is Warwick. After he died(probably), he was experimented on by singed and transformed him into an absolute monster (much more than he was in Arcane, tbh one of the most scary and horrifying lores in LoL was the story of Warwick and Singed. MUST TRY READING IT, HIGHLY SUGGESTED)
ryze being the mage from arcane is highly debated in community, but I personally think he is the mage that saved jayce and his mother, because ryze has ability to teleport and young ryze looks like the mage. Viktor is kind of spoiler, but you can see him already testing on his own body on season 1
We don't know if the mage was Ryze, but the Young Ryze skin does look kind of similar and Ryze's ultimate teleports everyone in a circle area, just like he did with Jayce and his mom. It could just be a random mage, though.
So the creators have never confirmed that the mage in ep 2 is Ryze, but there's two big reasons why most fans believe it is. Ryze is a powerful mage covered in tatoos, and in the show we can see the mage has tatoo'd hands. Second, he teleports Jayce and his mom a long distance, and in the game Ryze's ultimate ability is a group teleport. Yes that Viktor is the same Viktor from the show, and yes seeing what he will become is most likely a spoiler for future seasons. Singed, the doctor who invented shimmer, is in the game. The show never says his name outloud, but it does refer to him by Singed in the subtitles. Technically Teemo is in Arcane. There's a picture of him in the child's book that Silco's thug is flipping through in Marcus's daughter's room. Spoiler warning: Vander is indeed in the game, but he goes by Warwick (the werewolf champion). You can see a glimps of Vander/Warwick at the end of season finale hanging up in Singed's lab, and promotional materials suggest Warwick is gonna play a major role in season 2. What we don't know is if there is any thing left of Vander in there, or if he will be fully Frankenstein's monster'd with zero memory of his past life, although that's unlikely considering the quality of writing for Arcane.
Picked up Ryze, thats observant as, they didnt even confirm in show (yet as far i know) but its def suggestive its ryze, even has one of the abilities from the show
