Hey all, hope you’ve all been amazing. Sorry for not uploading and the long wait. I’ve been working on the Qiqi video (which is coming out very soon!) and this video. This had me busy but even with this, there just hasn’t been much to cover for genshin. Hope you enjoy the vid, and its great talking to you guys again!!
Diluc was my first 5 star and my main DPS for a while, and although I got better Main DPSs I just can’t bench him, he still makes some domains and bosses easier to defeat and since I got Nahida he has even comeback to my abyss teams, I can confirm that his burgeon capabilities are overlooked.
This is awesome!! I love this video and it speaks my language as I spends some time just tweaking my characters and trying to play the ones I usually don't Love DILUC, and I actually have been using and enjoying chungyuun for a while as he melts like a boss!! Thank you for this and keep it up
People laughed at me for using Diluc... like why? first of all it's a game lol. I just wanna have fun, i literally ignored the Meta and people just kept having fun the way i wanted. ^^
I would say meta has its place in genshin, its definitely useful when trying to clear the abyss and such, but always following the meta just cause its strong? Nope. The game would pretty much get boring by just using the top teams all the time. To each their own, but I would say at times genshin is at its best when you play, enjoy and thrive with non meta units or teams
Sometimes (or every time?) I hate it when some players prohibit another player to pull some character just because they're not "Meta" enough to use in abyss. Even if they're strong, if they're not meta, then don't pull for them (said some people). Spiral Abyss is just like 10% of whole content in genshin, yet people still use it as absolute parameter.
Man we just need a better end game content and that would make the game so wholesome to play who you like and not kill yourself trying to get a star in the abyss
I finally pulled Diluc last night on the standard banner. I know it's stupid to be happy because he's not exactly META, but I've been trying to get him for over a year now, so I am unreasonably happy.
My favorite non-meta team currently is Dehya+Nahida+Kuki+Fischl. This team relies on Dehya being on-field, while taking advantage of Nahida and Kuki's off-field abilities as its core. Kuki and Nahida will combine with each other and Dehya to make overloads, spreads, burning, and/or aggravates, and provide all the damage you need. Dehya is on field most of the time, so gets to catch all the yummy pyro energy. Fischl, of course, uses her A4 and Oz to add still more damage, but is the flexible slot. Fischl is my default preference, but there are a lot of other options. Want grouping/VV for that pyro damage? Go with Kaz or Sucrose. Want more pyro for cryo heralds? Add Xiangling. Want cryo instead? Well, Ganyu or Kaeya for their bursts are good solid choices. You can even use Beidou, if you want, just, if you do, use her burst right after Dehya's burst runs out, since Dehya can't proc it during her burst. Basically, this team setup uses Dehya like other teams use Zhongli. It avoids most of the flaws in Hoyoverse's intended use of her (off-field support) and what players try to force her into (on-field DPS), while still utilizing her strongest aspects (her cool animations and personal survivability). She contributes a bit to the damage equation, but her main benefit is making it so that you do not care what enemies do. She can easily have a 40k+ health pool to soak hits. Hits that she'll redirect to herself, spreading it out over time, and reducing said redirected damage when she picks up her field. And on top of Kuki's healing, she'll heal herself. All of this allows you to ignore pretty much all the enemy mechanics. Like against the Thunder Manifestation, you can ignore both the cage and closing walls. You'll live, and heal, so just keep doing damage. Makes a lot of fights very simple, very forgiving, while still having very potent offense.
@@jjjackal1110 I'm yet to C6 Kaeya as I main both of them but yes! Burgeon Diluc is like firing fireworks all around and you got to see your enemies flying away xD
Diluc for burgeon makes me wish that Dehya's pyro application was just slightly faster because then she'd had a pretty decent spot in a burgeon team :(
True her pyro app is low. But I must admit idk whether dehya is actually good for burgeon. I thought she was bad at it at first. But I saw a comparison of thoma burgeon and dehya burgeon and surprisingly dehya did better. I believe dehya was c0, though she may have been c1. I've been using her this way as of late, just cause it feels better to play her this way then as a dps. Once I get her c1 she'll be a dps. But ya I think dehya burgeon is actually pretty good, not optimal, but not unplayable either.
@@jjjackal1110 Might try it out then. Recently got her by losing a 50/50 and salty about what Hoyo did to her so if I can make her work I might try that
@@Lacirev Feel the same way. Its sad that people need her c1 for her to better, outside of burgeon. Hope you find success with her. I actually have a video on dehya teams to help those trying to use her in teams. I explain how to play burgeon dehya in the vid. I don't mean to plug my video and get a view, but I legitimately want to help if you're unsure how to build her for burgeon. Heres the link, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xt0bY7adqlI.html no need to watch of course. Hope burgeon works well for you!
I like the idea of using unpopular characters to fill up meta reactions. Burgeon Diluc has been there for quite a while, only reason it's not used frequently is simply because a) Burgeon deals quite a lot of self-damage. (we all know that recently, hoyo loves placing enemies that hit like trucks) b) there's no true dps in the team, only a driver (which is Diluc triggering burgeon) c) hyperbloom outclasses it due to it being more consistent and 100% hit rate (cause it's homing), unlike burgeon which has a chance to miss. Most of the downsides here are not because of the units, but rather because of the nature of burgeon itself. Overall, a very fun team to use from floors 1-11 (floor 12 is on a whole new level) Eula Phys Tazer was a meta team before during 1.x to 2.x until Sumeru and Dendro arrived, which introduced powerful elemental reactions + newer enemies that are resistant to Physical. Sadly, Physical itself is already the weakest link in Genshin because it is a elemental reaction based game. Don't get me wrong, Eula and the units that support her are strong themselves, it's just that the Physical niche is pulling their performance down. Nonetheless, still a very fun team to use. Sunfire Reverse Melt starring Chongyun has been in my "teams to definitely try" list because it's so fun. Reverse melt overall has a different feel to it, mainly because of the characters that utilizes it such as Kaeya, Chongyun, Rosaria, all of which have quickswap bursts. Ofc, you won't be expecting national team levels of damage (mainly bcs reverse melt only increases damage by 1.5x) but still a fun team that should never be missed. There are also variants such as replacing Jean with Kazuha, reverse Ganyu melt, or even Ayaka Sunfire so if you have those characters, definitely try them out Lastly, Burning teams... I am going to be blunt here, burning has failed to represent it's niche of being a DoT source of damage. It's too weak to even be considered "damage". The only good thing about it is it keeps the pyro status intact in the enemy for quite a while, which will make vape and melt easier (where Ganyu melt is based on). It's really sad though, because burning is the first ever dendro reaction we had on game (and I remember dying to it way too many times when I was low AR at version 1.x era) so I had high hopes that it will be great when Dendro is fully introduced. But yeah, it's not stopping players to still use it, because it adds a different flavor on our Genshin experience. That's all of my thoughts, overall great video!
You really went in depth into the teams! You sound like a theory crafter or someone with lots of knowledge on the game. I never knew the eula team I mentioned was actually used. I never saw anyone use that team, but of course that doesn't mean it wasn't used. And honestly, I agree with pretty much everything you said. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts and deep insights. And for answering the confusion I had with things I mentioned in the video
@@jjjackal1110 Thank you for replying~ I am actually a veteran player that's why I have quite a handful of knowledge within the game which I am pretty much confident of. (Ofc, have spent only 8 Welkin here xD) And yes, Eula before was tested on various teams, I even speculated Eula and Raiden will be great together before their release, but it won't be the greatest as I already knew Xiangling and Xingqiu will be stealing the spotlight (which to my surprise, became the Rational team we know today). My friend is even laughing at me "what's the point of freezing when you're going to shatter it anyways 😂". But on my defense, I didn't have Diona and Zhongli back then, so I only have Xingqiu and Qiqi as my defensive options (my Bennett was c6 and many were laughing at me until Dendro came lol) Kind of off-topic but I still remember the times when the community's prejudice on unreleased characters when they say "oh, this units gonna be dogwater", until they weren't. Characters like Ganyu, Kazuha, and even Kokomi already gave me a good impression. Ganyu before got underestimated because of her CA playstyle, but became a heck of a unit when she got released. Kazuha got compared too much with Sucrose before release, look where he is right now. Kokomi was a bit of a special case tho, because I also thought that her kit, especially her ult, creates conflict to her role but I was correct that her hydro application will be one of the best, and will be even better once Dendro comes, which it did. That's why whenever there's a new character in question, my Genshin friends will always first ask about my opinion about that character, which makes me glad. I would like to talk about this stuff more, especially with players like you who look at things objectively, rather than spouting nonsense opinions that are only based on their emotions (really, I've been through it a lot). If you only, would like to talk more about Genshin here's my Discord ID "euphh_" (discord is starting to convert user IDs to this format :3) Once again, amazing vid and thank you~
@@zneuph You're very welcome. I dont have discord but I often enjoy talks like this too, usually around new units since the stuff around already released characters is old news. What you mentioned brought me back all the way to genshins first year, which were some nice memories. So much enjoyment and confusion at the same time. I didn't make videos by then so I wasn't involved with the community or always knew what was going on, but I did hear about the bad reception ppl had with ganyu and kokomi. And then crazy enough people were really wrong, especially with kokomi. I remember thinking that ppl always jump to conclusions way too early and should first let the unit be released, but now I'd say the community is knowledgeable enough to assess a unit pre release. Thanks for the trip down memory lane
Thundering Furry Razor is my favorite team to play: Razor, Bennett, (Xingqiu or Yelan), (Nahida or Dendro Traveler). c6 Bennett makes this team better. Everything explodes in this team, burgeon explodes, your opponent overloads and explodes, and you self-overload and explode.
Hyperbloom Eula is fun! Use: Eula, Candace, Kuki/Dori and any dendro character Edit: you basically get physical, hyperbloom, superconduct, electrocharged, quicken and shatter all in 1.
I've only recently got Diluc after like what... 2 years of the game's existence (Mona please come home too), and I still built him as common vape/crit build and ngl, I'm having a lot of fun with it. My main DPS like Ayaka and Ganyu are just steamrolling stuff and sometimes, no matter how much I love those two, it gets repetitive. That's why I'm building other characters as well. I just got Kazuha and Dehya earlier. Already maxed Kazuha but unsure if I'll build Dehya.
SAME, I dont have mona after 3 stinking years. Aside from my venting that's the key to have fun, building new characters/teams and switching between teams when things get repetitive. Good on you for building multiple characters. If dehya is a worry for you because she weak (she is), I'd say perhaps to build her if you get her c1
@@jjjackal1110 Tbh power wise, I don't really mind Dehya (Though I won't use her for Abyss) ... but I can't build everyone because of limited resources (But I really want to)
I ACTIVELY USE SUNFIRE CHONGYUN! its one of my main teams!! Instead of Rosaria i use diona bcs yuns em is rlly low. (And rosar isn’t built yet ;_;) It’s also the team I hit the highest dmg with bcs of the setup! (I think it was 138k)
@@jjjackal1110 also forgot....I pair my EM Yanfei with Raiden....Yanfei normal attacks and Raidens off field electro attacks via her skill allows me to spam overload
If only I could actually get a DILUC! :P And thanks for showing Chongyun some love. He carried me through most of Liyue and Mondtsadt along with Xiangling, Fischl and traveller.
sayu(er/atk/em) and thoma(er/hp/hp) they give me a 36 stars on the abyss i don't know what team i build to them(as long that team damage they damage) but thanks to them
Im not sure how meta it is but i use a Yae hyperbloom team with Raiden Kokomi and Kirara and at least in the overworld it seems quite good as it is the team im most confident in out of my teams.
@@jjjackal1110 okay and i think the team can get much stronger because everyone is c0 and Raiden and Kirara dont even have good crit values but at times it can still hit 30k+ at times and i don't really have to use Yae's burst or Raidens in the overworld because i win so fast against normal enemies that it tends to be unnecessary and im not using deepwood in Kirara or Raiden's best artifacts i even have Yae on two two piece sets and im not even using 5 star weapons so i really think it can get much more powerful so i don't think you would have a hard time at all if they have good artifacts because this is with Raiden and Kirara using bad artifacts because the team is already strong enough that i don't need to bother getting better ones especially when i avoid the abyss and i think i may have used it for that event in the video and i got around 5000 points multiple times.
zhongli isn't the go to, you can definitely play baizhu on that team. I didn't play biazhu since I don't have him and cause nahida is so good in that team. I'm not entirely sure how biazhu would be in the team but it should be good. Double dendro should allow for more cores and em which would be great
@@jjjackal1110 Thank you so much for answering me, you're helping me a lot. I just got Diluc so I'm trying to learn how can I play Diluc in Abyss as a f2p. Thank you again
em beidou with c6 bennet is good but at that point wouldnt razor be better since his electro appliacation during his burst is more consistent since that sort of beidou team is sort of just knock off thundering furry anyway diluc still pretty great for pure burgeon
@@jjjackal1110 Overload is and isn't bad. It's kind of like a worse supercharged. You generally don't want it as your main reaction, since it doesn't do enough damage by itself, but when it is a freebie you get with something else, then it is fine... provided you don't mind the knockback. And it does have the benefit of being a bit of an AoE.
I really like these teams because they're not premium teams. It's refreshing to see a guide that doesn't start by listing the top three 5*s that I don't have yet, along with their signature weapons. Those guides don't help me much because I cannot just "go get Hu Tao" or Yelan or Nilou, or whomever; not just because they're not running right now, but because I'm not made out of money either.
Well Meta means they're one the best or strongest teams less effort doing damage, if you have them. It does not restrict you using alternative team comp but it will depend on your overall quality build. That's where Meta comes in.🙄
@@vuototetro0 That's not only not true (any abyss with the dendro cube in it cannot be beaten by a team without a dendro in it, eliminating a good chunk of teams), but also irrelevant. META stands for Most Efficient (or Effective) Tactic Available. It does not stand for Only Tactic Available. I mean, you can kill any human with a fork as long as you have the right situation. But that doesn't change that a firearm is almost always a better choice for killing something, and that, in the situations where you might want to use a fork over a firearm, a knife is probably the better choice than the fork. There definitely are teams that are more efficient/effective than others.
