This was the Nii Nii Parry, jokes aside it's almost the same situation, Daigo and Nii Nii both lost but he parried an attack which was really hard to parry and that was the move that everybody remembered, not who won
This shit makes me so nostalgic for being a kid. My friends and I always had stupid made up games like this that would become progressively more serious the more we played them.
That is the nasuverse tsubame gaeshi, as with most heroic spirits and their NP Sasaki Kojirou's too is based on a rl myth. In different series both anime and rl, different interpretations of the technique were used. (Im not sure if your comment was a joke or meant serious so i wrote this in case you were serious, if it was a joke just ignore this comment 😅)
@@nobodythere1424 yes it was a joke. Swallow Reversal is just a thing used in pop culture now, like the rising dragon fist. It didn't COME from street fighter but most people probably heard shoryuken from street fighter first. Anyway tho, yes, sardonic comment, but that is a little hard to discern with just text. Lol
The brother(Suguru) was doing pretty good, I wanted him to win, but a 3 on 1 was enough to take him out I guess. He's my favorite even though he doesn't say much 😅
The best part is the battle music. I seriously didn't remember it until it started playing on my PC someday (I downloaded the full OST for both seasons of the anime) and only just now I got a reply of what it was used for. lol
@@moritzser3651 the announcement for it was may of this year the earliest you might see it is February 2020 but that hasn't been announced yet so it could be later
This must be from the 2nd season as I watched the first season the other week and don't remember this scene and I would have done, it's hilarious. I love this show.
A high technique class warrior, a heroine who acquired the ancient power of wax and a rocky defeated Ruler Demon king. Sounds like a good story, and the best part is that Rocky saves the world with the last hit😆
@@emperorjimmu9941 In Japanese folklore there is a Swordsman named Sasaki Kojiro who developed a technique to slay a swallow (the bird). This technique was called tsubame gaeshi (or as you already said, "swallow reversal" in English), so that may be a possible origin for the name.
I thank my deviant friend for introducing me to this anime. xD Wow. Slice of life at its finest, indeed. I'm really going to have to remember this ruler game and play it someday!
