Hello, am in Kenya. I don't know where you are located. That said, please check your pressure vessel if it has air. If not, pressurise the system to 2 bar, The other way is to add a gate valve after the pump. This way, you shut off the the gate valve and you will notice if the problem persists.
Hi Mi mini DAB ESYBOX pump was working greatbbut it protected it self from dry Run We Purge it and works but it turns too often and leaks water from the intake line from inside any clues ? I am not able to find service technicians to repair Playa del Carmen Mx
I'm not following what you're saying. If it leaks on the suction side, you probably need to disconnect it and rewrap the the threads with fresh thread tape (5-6 wraps). If you're using stainless steel fittings, you need to use tape made for stainless steel threads, or they will leak. Again, wrap SS thread tape 5-6 times.
It shouldn't be making a noise like that. I doubt it has anything to do with the internal pressure tank. Make sure you have the inlet pipe (on the right) plumbed into the water source and not vice/versa. It sounds like you may have debris inside the pump. Always use a pre-filter on any booster pump. Hello I just set up my pump but when I start it I always get a Dry Run BL fault notifications (there is water in our water hole). I noticed that when I try and fill the built-in reservoir, I can keep filling it with water (a lot more than de reservoir size), it’s like it never fully fills up to the top. Could it be something with the shutter valve or ?
If you are lifting water from below the pump, you will likely need to install a foot valve on the bottom of the suction pipe down in the "water hole" to prevent the water from going back the opposite direction. Once you have it installed, start filling the pump with water, which will also fill the suction piping that goes down to the foot valve where it will stop. Once the pipe and pump are full of water, the pump should be able to prime.
the thing is there is already a foot valve in the waterhole on the suction line. Doesn't the pump have an integrated foot valve ? So if I fill the pump, it will just fill the internal reservoir and not go into the line up to the water hole?
I'm installing the e.sybox mini as a booster pump to bring gravity fed water pressure up. I have 16 psi from the gravity fed system where the pump will go. Am I correct in proceeding as though this is flooded suction? Also, the english translation in the manual is pretty rough. Do you know if I can use the inlet and outlet on the bottom of the unit in a vertical install (like you have it in this video)? I am installing the pump on a shelf over our water inlet (comes up through floor) in a closet, and I would use less fittings plumbing up through holes in the shelf.
Andy, Water head pressure may be calculated at .433 x 1' of head. So if the water is 10' high for example, that's 4.33 PSI of inbound pressure. I would consider that to be flooded suction. Typical city water pressure is between 30-55 PSI, so 16 PSI really falls between the two. I'd probably consider it to be flooded suction, monitor pump performance to see how it goes and change the shutter valve around if needed.
@@rainwaterequipmentllc7835 Thanks for the reply. As I was planning out my install, I noticed that my e.sybox mini came with stainless steel unions to be screwed into the brass fittings on the pump. I was surprised at this because I have always been told that dissimilar metals should not be in contact inside of a water plumbing system due to galvanic corrosion. I will be replacing the stainless fittings with brass so I don't have any issues down the road.
@@andydouglass1374 It depends on the dissimilar metals. In this case, the type of stainless steel used with these union fittings and brass are fine to be used together.
@@rainwaterequipmentllc7835 I will probably be calling DAB tomorrow for help but thought I would run this by you. I cannot get the stainless unions to seal in the integral brass fittings. There is no room for a wrench and the Italian videos show them using some sort of socket to engage the internal lugs on the union. I am forced to use a small flat bar to tighten the fittings, which engages these lugs like a large screwdriver. In respect to the integral fittings being set in plastic, I started with the fittings just past finger tight with 3 wraps of quality teflon tape. Outlet side between brass and stainless leaked under 16 psi house pressure. Disassembled and noted dark scale on the brass female threads, similar to when oil "enamels" onto metal under prolonged heat (like on an old baking sheet). Wire brush will not remove scale. Retried with multiple quantities of new teflon tape, switching fittings, etc., and always increasing torque slightly more each time. Have tried over a dozen times and at this point I do not want to torque the fittings anymore as it is already beyond anything I have ever done with traditional plumbing. What tool do you use to tighten these fittings and have you ever had a similar problem? Thanks!

It sounds like there is a leak somewhere in the piping. The pump thinks you're using water and turns on. It builds pressure, then shuts off until the pipe leaks enough water, and the pump turns back on.
@@rainwaterequipmentllc7835 I thought so too but there's no sign of leaks. Even when I close the switch that supply water from the pump to the house the problem persists. I requested the guy who installed it to come and check but he is not in town for the coming 2 months due to family commitments. I am worried this pump might be damaged by the time he come to attend it.
Myb you have a check valve that's failed and is now moving the pressurized line leaking into the city line. btw, there's anti-cycling feature on this machine. It should prevent the continuous running of the pump due to leaks. you may want to turn that on.
do you have a tutorial for adjusting the bar pressure ? it's not just a case of pressing arrow up or down. A adjustment must be made behind the panel next to the display screen.
@@daveking777 hold down the mode and set button simultaneously for about 3-4 seconds, and then you will be able to increase or decrease the pressure with the up-and-down arrow.
@@rainwaterequipmentllc7835 the factory setting of the dab mini is set at 3bar in the uk. i was led to believe you have to open the panel to the left of the lcd screen and adjust the valve below the no return valve. It's not just a case of adjust the arrows first ??
I don't believe there is a process to "unblock" a pressure sensor.
