Nobody is greater than MJ & I’m no fan. I’m a Dominique Wilkins guy & I lost thousands betting against MJ. Eventually even I had to admit he was the greatest 😫

Same. I am a Detroit Pistons fan and loved the bad boys beating him up, but even while my team was abusing him I could see how amazing and tough he was to beat.
Both nique n MJ are far smarter and realistic than their fans either acknowledging Wilt as the goat or the reason why they can’t call themselves the goat. That’s why I love them both off the court On the court they are greats of all time fosho
I grew up in Chicago I saw Jordan live so many times but one Stat they can't tell you is when Jordan was playing crime was down 80% cause everyone was in the house watching Jordan
The stats that stick out that prove MJ was better than LeBron is because Michael won 10 Scoring Titles and LeBron just 1 single Scoring Title. That is just way too lopsided. It was 6-4 in Championships and Finals MVPs in favour of Jordan. His Regular Season total for MVPs is 5-4 for Mike. He also averaged 30.1 points per game in the Regular Season and 33.4 in the postseason. All of these numbers are for 15 years in the NBA and LeBron is still a mile away. He's getting ready for season #22.
In the 90s when WGN went to a superstation, the NBA sued - hey if you can see the bulls on cable then we can’t sell TV rights to NBC for truckfulls of money. They argued “MJ *is* the league”. I’m unaware that being argued for LeBron My fave - LeBron tried to take over 23 for him. Nope.
One of the stats that blows my mind the most is never scoring less than 15 points in a playoff game because think of how many playoff games that is -- in 13 years on the Bulls he never missed the playoffs. In so many ways, MJ never let his fans down.
@@TheRealMindCrime never less than 20 in the finals is probably just as impressive...he must have played 30+ finals games. But man, playoff games ...there has to be a ridiculous amount of playoff games. And i bet it was rare for him to score less than 20 in the playoffs too...probably just a handful of games at 15-19.
My meniscus ripped in half back in 2018. After my surgery I had to go on medical leave for 4 months and do 56 weeks of physical therapy. During that time, having to wear a full leg brace at all times, I lost strength in my hips. I can only imagine how Jordan felt at the age he was at when it happened to him.
I'm Brazilian, I like basketball but my favorite sport is soccer. We have Pelé, just as Argentina has Messi and Maradona, all outstanding, but Jordan's performances put him above all players in team sports. His achievements, especially in the playoffs, are incredible. Michael Jordan won by dominating in an incredible way, with incredible numbers and putting on a show on the court.
7:34 in 89, Cleveland was an up and coming team. Chuck Daly was worried about them as a rival. Mark Price. Brad Daughrity. Ehlo a tall guard. Then Jordan hits The Shot. And they’re down for a decade or two.
26:25 buechler was a volleyball player. I always thought on off days he’d be at North Ave Beach, hat on nobody recognize him, beach volleyball and coors light. Leading from the bench: Jordan would be cheering the most when the second unit scored. When Kerr hit the game winning shot in 97 nobody was happier than Jordan. At the Grant Park celebration Kerr was “yep once again I had to bail Michael out” the crowd roared.
Lebron would go CRYING to the commissioner even MORE for calls if he had to play against those old school Knicks and ESPECIALLY the Badboys Pistons!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I remember that 15 pt game was against the Pistons. It was a couple of years before they got their act together under PJ. His teammates were whinging about MJ shooting too much so he took only 6 shots to prove a point, as if to say "OK, you shoot then"
I looked into how many players that LeBron played with who have a higher career PER (by far the most accurate metric stat) than Scottie Pippen (since LeBron fans have further elevated a good co-star into a top 25 guy to prop up their insecure "king") & I stopped counting at 10. I didn't even include Carmello or Shaq. That means since 2010, LeBron has played with multiple Pippen level players, & Mike STILL has more finals wins (24-11) than LeBron (22-33)in nearly half the trips. No Lebron-esque game 7 pants-crapping sessions bc Mike didn't let the finals get to a game 7 - ever.
4:45 was watching a rerun of the 96 finals (I actually kinda knew someone, a Chicago based bench warmer for the Sonics) they mentioned that the game 4 and 5 losses were the only back to back losses for months. That was a helluva season
Yeah, I got my one chance to see him in '02. A little disappointed it wasn't Bulls Jordan but he poured in 28 in the first half against the previous ECF champ Sixers. Beautiful work. He also dunked in that game!
Back then, in Jordans wizards years, 27+points a game, you're a top 5-10 scorer. Most important fact about MJ these days is he's better than bron, so I get 2 troll them clowns😂😂
Remember on all Lebron’s numbers are from mostly layups and dunks. MJ numbers are for jump shots as well. Oh and on the rookie 3% stat he was avg less than 1 three attempted per game. That’s why the avg so low and if I’m not mistaken. They might have just added the 3pt line.
4:22 LeBron's 1617 and 1718 Finals were series in which he lost 1:4 and 0:4. LeBron's stats were a result of stat padding which he put up when the team was losing more than 15points.
Hiya, man I'm overwhelmed too. He's absolutely amazing. 💯 like I keep on saying, there will never be another Michael Jordan. The crazy thing is he could of scored more in a heavy defense era but Jackson wanted to focus more on the team aspect, to take some burden off of him, amongst other reasons. Not saying that's wrong of Jackson but it is what it is. Such an impressive athlete he is. Our goat!! Take care
Oh yeah for sure! If MJ continued playing iso ball like coach collins wanted him to then 35ppg was easy for him. But I don't think that would've led to as many rings. Good thing MJ is coachable cuz though he didn't agree with phil at first he followed his coach and the triangle ended being the perfect offense for them
@@TheRealMindCrime yeah, I agree with you. It's interesting to see how his coaches all had a different approach with him. I think Jackson knew how to get the best out of.
@@TheRealMindCrime so did you find that video I told you about yet? I think he changed the name of this channel when he stopped uploading, but his name is something like blitz sports Network or something.
MJ also retired with the most career blocks as a shooting guard, a total that was only later surpassed by Dwyane Wade. Of course considering he had something like a 48 inch vertical, and he played defense on the opposing teams' best offensive player regardless of their height or position, he was a bit of a shot blocker too 😁
MJ taking one of the worst teams in the NBA and making them competitive?!! Lebron needs multiple all stars and really good roll players to be competitive?!? Way off topic, kind of, you mentioned imagine going to a Metallica concert and the band doesn’t show. Metallica and guns n roses toured together in the early 90’s. James Hetfield got burned by some pyrotechnics and had to be hospitalized. Guns n roses could have been heroes but refused to take the stage maybe played a few songs and left and a riot started. Metallica did go back to that city to give them their concert.
assists back then were 1 dribble max if i recall, that's what i still consider to be an assist like you said, now they take 2-3 dribbles, pretty much taking up 5+ seconds on the clock and somehow that's still an "assist" lol may as well count hockey assists as true assists, too
When Ron broke Jordan's rib, he felt so much remorse. It happened during a pickup game in Chicago. Jordan finished the game by hitting a game winning bucket and THEN walked off the court...lol! Jordan is next level. That shows just how much MJ loves to compete with anyone willing to challenge him. Not LeBronze...lol
There's no such thing as an individual GOAT in a team sport with multiple positions and multiple playing styles in multiple eras with multiple rules changes. Have a great 4th 🎉
17:47 my father in law came in, from Taiwan. A huge bball fan. He played too, well into his 60s. We saw a Bulls Spurs game and all the spurs stars were load managing. Kinda sucked. He never came back to the states. That was his one, ahem, shot.
These are crazy lol, one stat that stands out to me is his record for most points in a playoff game, 63, in 86. This was against birds celtics, too. And this was the same year he had broken his foot. How, dude 😂
Load management is such bs. If u sit out a game when you're 31 ,that doesn't guarantee you an additional game you can play at 38. Best to play when you can
i know this sounds dark but how the hell is Micheal Jordan still alive? with the amount of miles this man put on his body throughout the years with all these fantastical stories of his greatness.
11:49 the bulls were an up and coming team, oddly as a Chicagoan I watched this more for the legendary Celtics team. They were a killer with probably the best overall front court ever. But MJ torched them.
The one game that I got to see Jordan and the Bulls, 98, against Les Bullet, MJ was awesome, but the highlight of the game was Buechler dunking on Juwan on a fast break dunk. Rodman lost his mind celebrating. 😂😂😂
For my money Vince Carter's best dunk was one he missed against Duke in a game in Chapel Hill. Ed Cota came down and threw a lob off glass (Dean Smith was retired then 😁) to VC. He was coming down the middle and caught it and dunked it off the heel of the rim...from straight on! That was hella athletic! But the teabag on Weis in the Olympics was epic!
6:17 there were rumblings that the Knicks could beat that Bulls team in the playoffs. They just got Allan Houston and Larry Johnson. The regular season matchups ended 2-2. But then against the Heat in the playoffs a brawl broke out and several pivotal Knicks players got suspended. And they were leading that series as well. If the 97 Knicks faced the 97 Bulls in the CF, the series could have been closer
I knew MJ was the GOAT when people started bringing in off court stuff to boost LeBron's case. Do you know which game that iconic hand switch lay up was against the Lakers? I have seen that highlight a million times but never the full game.
12:20 the Bulls actually lost Game 1 of the 1991 finals. And in Game 2 Jordan came out with a vengeance. 15/18 shopting and as Marv said, 13 straight field goals made
Respect for the glove when you see 3 of the worst 6 scoring games MJ had in the finals were in the same finals series in the last three games, when George Karl finally let him go at MJ. Too bad he didn't games 1-3
24:47 I always thought these were ugly “why the hell do so many people like them”. Umm 72-10. 15-3. That’s why. (BTW ‘16 warriors 73-9,15-9 first round was 7 game series, they dropped one)
The Cavs were never in that 2017 finals series. The Warriors went up 3-0, Cavs won game 4, then the Warriors closed out in 5. So I see those Lebron stats as not being very impactful. As far as Jordan's 3pt % as a rookie well that was the very 1st time he played basketball with a 3 pt line. The 3 pt line wasn't added to college and HS ball until 1986.
What is the big thing you notice on the stat chart for 30 point 10 assist games? I noticed MJ doubling up Lebron in steals and a half a block more a game, for a shooting guard. Lebron even playing as good as he did, was not great on defense. Also, Lebrons turnovers were much higher. Based on that MJ had a much better assist to turnover ratio.
Check Statmuse lowest scoring games by Michael Jordan in the playoffs and it will only show 6 games where he scored less than 20 points, and in those 6 games, he shot below 40% just twice. His lowest point total in the playoffs is only 15 points. Compare it to Lebron, Kobe, Iverson, Kareem, Wilt, all the greats you can spell their names out... Nobody comes close. Lebron? Scored 7 points on 20% shooting, and scored less than 20 more than 10x Jordan. Wilt? 2 points, Kareem? 8 points, Kobe as a starter 8 points.
Oh MJ...hearing stuff like this...MJ did everything great. The only man who could show up with a hitler moustache and everyone is like...'okay...yeah.'
@6:31 I agree it should've been Kerr shooting. I disagree though on him shooting that shot. I know Kerr is a GREAT shooter but the defender is closing out on Kerr pretty quick. I don't think that's a good shot. Pippen had the better look but decided to take a 💩
23:50 and yet Scottie Pippen constantly complains about his salary. And deal that he was advised by Krausse not to take but chose to ignore him and take anyway. But then he blamed Krausse. While Jordan, the best player in the league, was making the 32nd highest salary in the league and never did Jordan say anything about that
The salary thing in 95 is what Tom Brady always did. He understood you need talent around you to win that you gotta sacrifice some of that salary to build the team
If you consider the fact that in the 80s and 90s, 3 point shooting wasn't really part of the game, he wasn't that bad. He was average. By today's standard, yes he sucked. But back then? If you tossed up a 3 without a good fuckin reason, you could be benched as punishment. Today, offenses are literally DESIGNED around the 3 ball. If Michael Jordan would be able to play today, he'd probably not get a big contract unless he worked extensively on his 3 point shot.
He only attempted 52 threes as a rookie so I don’t think that’s a good sample size. Any season that he attempted at least 200 threes he finished at least 35% from 3 22:10
Disinformations tht mj23 cant def.? Wasnt he nba all defensive team for many yrs, specially for avg almost 3 steals on top of evreything he was doing..
MJ will NEVER EVER EVER be my GOAT. That honor belongs to Larry Legend, who has a 68% win record over MJ, and who is the GREATEST ALL AROUND PLAYER EVER. cue the Jordan fanboi outrage 😂 PS I don’t care who comes at me or what you say. It won’t change my mind.
Nuh unh
@@mugenchamplooo it’s part of his logo. It’s not a tribute. The whole L23 thing. The other thing I hated. All of a sudden he goes to 6 in Cleveland. Some BS about how he didn’t want to interfere with Jordan. Wait - he then goes to Miami, which also retired 23. Yeah, the whole “imma going to Miami” he telegraphed it. Then after Miami, back to 23 Kobe, in the league, went to 24. Didn’t pretend.
