That’s so freakin awesome. I’m guessing they’re following all the bait we’re getting this year. But just like all southern fish, they come one year, the following year, then the love making begins and we start to see these fish in numbers and or larger fish follow. We won’t have to be jealous of the Floridian fishermen soon enough. Gotta love this part of global warming 😍
@@Bsprecksfishing we started catching bluefin off of Staten Island with the fall bass run. (By boat), It’s limited but every year it’s getting better and better, triggerfish ( been here a while but… , now large sheepshead which slowly crept up the NJ shore and now in Jamaica bay. Same with larger cobia. Oh we even landed a blacktip reef shark this year … let’s stay positive fellas as it would be effin amazing 🙏
You blew my mind with the grouper . I doubt that size you caught traveled all the way up north this season. Oh and the porgies we’re catching this year are 15-18 inches (inside jam bay) I’ve seen a massive hammerhead sharks while fishing Canarsie pier. Weakies made a come back this year as well. This is dreamy for me
These might be one of the few tropical strays that make it back down south. Especially since there were so many snowys in one spot, seems like they are staging up for a migration. Normally they are too territorial to all sit together.
@@bestmusic9879 they may have hatched here in the spring - early summer but that’s also a great sign. It’s not like these fish live a state away. I can’t imagine what else migrated up here.
