I took last Thursday off and was going to take my daughter to Block Island on my 22' center console for a day of R&R. When I heard the day's forecast I decided to leave the boat in the driveway and take the Pt Judith ferry instead, and glad I did. The 10:30am ferry was a rough ride with many barf bags in use and I saw several small boats getting very wet rides on their way back to the mainland. Props to you guys for sticking it out and scoring big. My next boat is definitely going to be a pilothouse or downeast.

We saw one center console out there, and it did not look fun. Definitely the right call. Like Cheech said, even in the downeast, we lost 33% of the crew to seasickness.

It did, but it's getting banished before family vacation next week, since "It's good luck for fishing" didn't hold up in court.

Hi , new to the game , What size ron Z jigs should i have onboard and can i use the same jig for the Z man hero's or what kind of jig should i use for the Z man hero please

The 10" RonZ with the Big Game Series Head is the most popular among tuna fishermen. In deeper water, many favor the heaviest head they make, 4 ounces. For the Z-Man HeroZ, you'll need to get a little creative with the rigging. Z-Man makes a 3-ounce Diezel-Eye Jighead that should handle the 30"-40" bluefin without issue, but on larger fish, you may be wishing for a heavier hook. We put them on the NLBN jigheads, but a screw-lock head isn't the best option for rigging the ElazTech material.
