Its almost impossible not to get side tracked in the game. Your character initially wants to do the main quest, but hmmm, what's in that ruined building way over there? And what's beyond that hilltop? And what's this? A trap door on the floor to some secret place that extends for miles? Main quest? what main quest? I gotta do [fill in the blank] first! The benefit of ignoring the main quest is that your character gets stronger and better equipped through all the extra looting in the side quests. And the FO4 settlement building is probably the biggest distraction in that game. I mean that in a positive way.

It is but it is the opposite to how the games fucntion. They're fun because you get side tracked. the main story is rarely as much fun.

Aww, but I loved running into the bridge of death, and the knights looking for the Holy Hand Grenade😂

I think the reason the vault dwellers don't look like vampires is because the lighting is supposed be a functional simulation of sunlight. Could be wrong tho

I rarely use Power Armor in FO4 after the boss fight in Concord. Occasionally if I find an X01 suit, I'll take it back to my settlements. But otherwise I can't be bothered with them. I prefer to rely on Girded Medium Leather, and Medium Combat Armor, with some added Ballistic Weave material for good measure. But I will always grab the fusion cores to sell. So my point is that Power Armor is optional in the game, even if you side with the BOS faction.

True. Also if you are the sneaky/stealth type. Power armor is out of the question. Also my favorite FO4 companion Strong the super mutant hates it when I wear Power Armor.

​@CyberJoeyO In FO3, I had a super mutant companion named Fawkes (named after the 17th century Catholic terrorist, Guy Fawkes). He was hilarious in his comments. He often spouted zen philosophy while helping me kill my enemies. I turned him hostile by accident during a firefight with other Super Mutants when I shot him as well. Since all super mutants all look alike, it was an easy mistake.

@@DaDunge Wrong. Rehabilitating criminals doesn't even work in our world. I've studied social work. I work with some criminals. Work in mental health field. And I keep up on research. I'm swedish. We've put everything into rehabilitation of criminals for decades. Does it work? No. Has ANY country succesfully rehabilitated a majority, or even a big minority? No. And you are so ill informed if you think rehabilitation is only a drop in the bucket. It's extremely expensive. And why pour all these billions into stuff that doesn't even work? Most, if not all, experts and studies show that trying to rehabilitate criminals is a futile endevour past a certain age. I don't remember the exact age. But I think it's somewhere in the adolescence- young adult- 20s. PREVENTION is where it's at. That starts at infancy. We need to pour our resources into preventing young people going into crime to start with. Studies show, once young people go wrong for a certain time, it's EXTREMELY hard to get them on a different path. Especially if drugs is in the picture. Anyone who has done any work in this field knows the harsh reality. Most it doesn't end well for. There are tons whos lives do not end well, no matter how much love and care they are shown. Life and humans are just way too complex for rehabilitation to be some magic cure. And then there are pure anti-social ones. Rehabilitation works on some. Maybe quite a few, if they have the right circumstances. But people are fooled if they think it's a success story... Plus... you forget the reality where criminals might show promise in rehabilitation. But then they get out... and their old social network is right there to rope them in again. It's like addiction. And we all know the difficulties of that. Social workers, and all preventive measures in society, would need to ensure they do not end up in the same old pattern again. Overall, the end cost for society as a whole to rehabilitate criminals is way higher than you think. All we can do is have a good balance between prevention, high punishments, and good rehabilitation where it actually works. But to NOT be fooled into thinking rehabilitation is magic. And as a swede I can tell you, rehabilitation eats an eff ton. And our "understanding" for criminals results in an EXTREMELY high relapse count where criminals are let out very easily, only to kill, r a p e again, etc etc. The societal cost, especially the LIVES we sacrifice... WOMEN's lives especially, that we sacrifice on the altar of rehabilitation... are you sure you wanna die on this hill?

Sure a regression from what it was in the 90s and 00s. And I believe you've done social work about as much as I believe you're a nigerian prince who need help transferring money.

@@DaDunge Just today I met with a client I work with in home support. A man with schizophrenia. He's one of the nicest coolest guys ever. But his schizophrenia has made him a violent criminal many times. He's now with us again. We said goodbye to him a little over a year ago because he was doing so well. But then after some time on his owm he stopped taking his medication, went bad. Spent four months in psychiatric hospital. And now he's back with us. And this is a guy with scizophrenia. Imagine all the combinations of mental illnesses, with NPF diagnoses like ADHD and Autism, with trauma, with drugs, with a HUGE amounts of other factors. Even if you think many criminals are just misunderstood people, doesn't mean that they will automatically become what you want them to become.... The ones who think they can tackle rehabilitation of criminals, before we've even tackled bad behaviours in kids... or even humans... don't know the complexities of humanity.

Quires are not players. They are party memberst to whom players dumped all their loot as NPC are not having carry weight limits in the games 😉

Its interesting that Vault-Tec never used Cooper's actual face in their billboard promotions, but rather a goofy cartoon rendition of him. I guess he was also similarly used in all of those Vault-Tec tutorial Perk videos too. No need for a paid actor for a silent character.

@@090giver090 Except the squire obviously has a carry weight limit, since it's a human. That's why I made the joke/observation about it. You have this poor guy carrying a huge bag full of stuff around, obviously having a difficult time, just like players often do in games that have an inventory/bag weight mechanic.

I’ve always observed the Geckos to be in hillier/rockier desert, a terrain we haven’t seen much in the show so far. The question we should really ask is where all the bark scorpions and radscorpions are in all that great flat desert…

@@Prototype455 you need to level your volume with that of other creators or the adverts, it takes practice but these girls should be able to do that by now

My favorite FNV Mod was "Willow". I use a "Heather Casdin" Mod in FO4. I also used a camera Mod in FNV just so I can see the front of my character occasionally. But I wish FNV was more like FO4 in terms of having a 3rd person dialogue perspective.

Read the book, it was better
