In this video I discuss how to calculate the n'th term of nonlinear sequences, by introducing the idea of first and second differences. This video corresponds with Chapter 2.6 in the Edexcel GCSE Mathematics textbook.

What to do when the second difference isnt equal like 2,5,11,23 have a difference of 3,6,12 and the second different is 3,6

hi i have a math problem i use your method but it not correct. My sequence are 20, 18 , 15 , 11 ,6 i use your method make a position to term rules -0.5n^2 - n +21.5 and it not correct pls help me out and show me how it can be done

hi, it's actually -0.5n^2 - 0.5n + 21, so i think you might have just miscalculated when comparing -0.5n^2 to Un

Beacuse in quadratic sequence the sequence dosnt go up in the same amount for example 4 , 9 , 16 , 25,36
