installed the crank pulley on my xse on this past friday, noticeable increase in throttle response in the bottom end. nice product, maybe ill get the whole set of pulleys next 🤔👍🏼
Thanks for the feedback. I spoke to NST six months ago, they said at that time that the other pulleys for the XSE were not removable. I wish they were, as I've had a great experience with just the crank pulley itself thus far, I would love to have a matching set!
I will try anything mine I am doing all motor on it and I got the blue so exhaust throttle body this and then hopefully someone will make us a rear turbo kit for our hatchbacks next.
@@descendinggod9740 I don’t know anyone who has done that, so I can’t answer your question. I would only speculate that the additional costs of making a carbon fibre piece would be substantially more. What I can say with confidence though, is that I still have this pulley on the car today, some 2 years after it was first installed, and it’s still awesome, has held up well, requiring no maintenance and caused zero problems.
I still have had mine in from the original install video, having never taken it out. It is still looking good, there is no stress wear on it at all. So, for what my opinion is worth, I am not worried about it cracking, breaking or anything like that. I am pretty sure it will last for the entire life of the car.
It is still awesome! No, no check engine light, no problems whatsoever. I put on lightweight wheels (SuperSpeed 18inch) which save 10lbs per wheel, so it makes it even snappier yet.
Hi Ryan, I just reached out to NonStopTuning a few months ago, and they were developing one just when I wrote them. I begged them to send one and they did (as a beta), and it works perfectly for the 2.0L Corolla - it will be a regular part of their inventory in the next two months, if you are interested. Thanks for reaching out!
I forgot to mention, NonStopTuning can also make custom pulleys as well, if you drive a car that is not listed. They are great to deal with, and will work with you to get their product to you as quickly as possible.
This pulley from NonStopTuning for the Corolla 2.0L is not available until early 2022; mine was the beta version. So....you must've installed something else from a different company.
@@123devinzz1 ok, so an older model of car and pulley, that is too bad that you did not experience any performance improvement. Reminds me of the 2010 Honda Insight hybrid (stop giggling) that I owned a few years ago. It had a whopping 88 HP, and I purchased a second set of rims for it, as I did not want to swap the winter tires off of the OEM rims for the summer tires. I got a great deal on some 15inch FastWheels rims that shaved 2.5 pounds off of each wheel (pretty good for 15inch rims), and at the same time, I purchased a K&N remplacement filter, as it was time to change the filter anyway. In spite of the reduction in rotational weight in the wheels and the improvement in airflow to the motor, the car did not perform appreciably better than it did before. However, I did notice improvements in the fuel economy, going from about 40mpg to 44mpg which was a bit of a surprise. Personally, I would rather have improvements in acceleration, that's way more fun! Thanks for watching, and for your input.
I have a white 2020 XSE and agree there is a lag in those early mid range RPMs with acceleration. I am happy to come across this and will try this mod; what tools and what would you recommend to not mess up the install? I’m not a mechanic by trade just a new car mod enthusiast. Thanks👍
