Noodle seems to be the ONLY gorrilaz member to not be offended when they were replaced, cause Russel was pissed, and I’m assuming Murdoc was annoyed about getting replaced by ace, and I don’t think 2-D was ever replaced

Russell was pissed for a good reason, though. Imagine if someone disregarded your artistry as "just a beat machine, so we have something to play background drum noise". At least Murdock went all the way to replicate Noodle and if he had the time, get a bit of her guitar skills to be similar to og Noodle. And Ace was an actual mean, green person, with some base skills, minus the jerk moves towards the band members. Murdock did Russell dirty I think.
