Pool noodles start to melt when you use a heat gun long enough. They will fuse together so you don’t even need to use glue to hold them together and it’s a very strong bond and less messy!

Take out the spacer and use a thinner noodle for the spine and ribs and you have a pretty good ribcage to wear on a costume

These are awesome. The heat gun does work but you do have to heat is fair amt. Still beast studios did a tutorial awhile back on how to do. Just takes practice. This is an awesome design!

I agree, that's how I was taught, but I have a paper surface (my smart decision so my table looks "presentable" lol) so I did glue.

Oh man this gives me so many ideas on how to decorate my room. I need to restock on creepy cloth. For Paper mache. I like using creepy cloth and those brown napkins you get at fast food places to add some cool textures.

This is awesome! Full-size skeletons are often so expensive considering how many one might need or how much they are going to be covered. This allows a lot more flexibility with decor! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Pool noodles are between $2-$6 in Australia, depending where the get then from and what colours you want! So not as cheap as in the USA, love your channel, ingenuity and creativity! Keep up the good work!

This is exactly how I built my siren head a couple years ago. This is great. Heating does permanently bond the foam but it Iwill melt smaller parts. There is a small crafting heat gun out there that might work for that. I haven't had the chance to try it yet. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

I just had the realization that this is a muppet skeleton. If the fur/felt is their "skin", then it would make sense for them to have foam "skeletons". This is (hypothetically) what's under the felt of the Swedish chef.

A channel called Stilt Beast Studios shows you how to make a body form using pool noodles and a heat gun. I've watched it several times previously trying to figure it out, but this would take that tutorial to the next level!

For thinner ribs you can use pipe insulation, it comes in thinner diameters.... you can even use foam round door and window insulation, comes in 1" diameter and you can get 10' rolls from places like Home Depot or Canadian Tire fairly cheap.

Great project!!! I would use some toothpicks or dollar store wooden skewer pieces to insure the ribs and other joints would be more secure.
