Puppies, s'mores and glaciers - oh my! We were so close to bumping into you at this port while sailing on Koningsdam, but we went to grab lunch and it took WAY longer than expected - barely missed you right before you went into the show. But, we were on the train and ship while you were filming it, haha! Thank you so much for everything, still hoping to bump into you two someday soon!
I remember docking by those rocks in 2000 as someone from our ship was painting the name of the ship and the date on the rocks as it was the first time they had been there that year.

We did this back in 2019 but added the actual dog sled ride. It was a great experience. You should do it the next time you are there! I loved holding the puppies!
Great vlog of Skagway! So much to do there that one cannot get bored. We were happy to cross paths with you at the musher's camp. We also loved cuddling with those 4 month old furry balls of puppiness!! Haha! Yay Dee for capturing some northern lights images!!

On Sept 25th we were anchored overnight just outside Juneau on Radiance of the Seas. Someone at our dinner table mentioned that they got a notification from the tracker app that the aurora borealis had a decent chance to be seen that night. It was cloudy when we went to bed and figured there was no chance of seeing it. We decided to take a chance and to get up at 3am to check again. So glad we did. The clouds had cleared up. We went to the top deck and could see them faintly with our naked eye but we used our phones and got some amazing pictures. That was our first Alaskan cruise and we felt so lucky to get to see them.
Oh the puppies, so cute! The red “berries” on the bush where you got off the tender, are rosehips. They are on a Sitka Rose Bush, and the rosehips grow after the rose blossoms fall off. They make tea, and can be roasted( I think they taste icky).
Wow! I need the pristine glory of youth! I will book this cruise just for the saloon show. Did Dee manage to smuggle a puppy back? Lol. I would imagine it would be very difficult to have a pet with your cruising schedule.
Puppy smell is like baby smell…kind of depends on the person on if you like it or not. Me not a fan most of the time. I am also team burnt mallows I’ll take a nicely roasted one but I don’t mind a little burn either. And also dark chocolate fan!
off subject of Alaska, do you have any recommendations for shore excursion places in Curacao? Looking to snorkel with sea turtles, and the ships trips so not look the best very short times. Thanks
Not to sound harsh or ungrateful for the videos, but why so many trips to Alaska this year? Is this the third trip? Why don't you ever do an Asian cruise, or a Mediterranean cruise? Or if you are interested with cold water ports, Nordic countries? These are the first videos we've found to be boring, because you've done this same cruise so much in the last few months. Sorry if this sounds ungrateful, but this is a lot of videos of Alaska in such a short amount of time.
We always get the question, what’s the “best” cruise line for Alaska… and since we were still missing a few of the major players, we decided to book ALL of them for this year. Rather than having to wait three or four years to make the determination, we could knock it out in one season, so we did five Alaska cruises this year, four of which were on new lines to us. This one in particular had four brand new ports that we’ve never touched, so it was particularly exciting for us. Alaska is still one of our absolute favorite places, and we kindly welcome you to skip any vlog sets that don’t appeal to you! We do have ten weeks of Mediterranean cruises scheduled for next year if you’d like to take a break and rejoin us then!! :P ~Jay
