Hi Its a Survivor 550 center console. Its one of the original boats built by El Shedaai in Mossel Bay. The boat was used commercially for a short time and they redid the deck also taking out the front seats which gives you so much space up front. It also has 2 x 100L inboard fuel tanks fitted as low as possible beneath the console which makes her extremely stable at sea. Iv been in pretty big rough seas and she handles it beautifully. She does 5 people no problem but mostly i like my space so go 3 max 4 people when i go to sea.
Hi. I'm based in Port Elizabeth unfortunately and don't know any boat places that I could recommend. The best is to Google and phone around. There are a few that pop up on the internet. Also have a look on market place on Facebook. Alot of people advertise as well as boat places. They can organize transport as well I'm sure if it's out of town. Just always be cautious there are also a bunch of fools out there.
I came off the throttles a bit late for that one. LOL. Iv been on a few cats and always feel a little uneasy with the way they role even when u are moving. I know they are brilliant vessels and I probably haven't given them enough of a chance to change my mind but for my budget and the type of fishing I do I cant ask for better. Iv been out in very rough water and iv felt completely at ease. Very stable vessel. I was just a bit to eager on that one.
@@fishthebeard5304 I remember launching at many sites : Noordhoek / Swartkops / PEDSAC / Sardinia Bay / Red Windmill. Can you think of any other launch sites in and around PE?
@@joatmofa0405 We basically only have the 2 main launch sites now. PEDSAC and Noordhoek. Swartkops is doable but very shallow at the moment. Sards is a NPA and closed to launching. The sand has moved so far inland ud never get a boat there to launch now anyway. The red windmill site you refer to is still open but very few people launch there these days. Its mostly used for swimming area. There is a dive charter that launches there and the Hobby cat sailboat club has there get together there when the wind is right. They used to also launch at super tubes on the main beach but that has since closed. They do launch for your speed boat races tho when they have events. So only 3 at the moment. PEDSAC,Noordhoek and Swartkops but i wouldnt take my boat out there. Im not that brave.LOL
@@joatmofa0405 thanks. Yes Wesley has some lekker vids. We regularly see each other as we both members at Noordhoek. I'm going to do my best this year to make more content and go out more. The weather has been seriously bad this year so far so haven't been out much unfortunately.
