NOPIE shows are the BEST

God I love no opie shows. The discussions are deeper and involved between Jim and Anthony. If Opie was around he wouldve cut off Jim's more prodding, deeper questions eg about the motivations of someone wanting to join scientology and provided some shallow, frivolous answer and move on. These shows are great listening. I mean listening in the active sense, with a sense of engagement, not trying my best to tune out Opie's stupidity and histrionics.

50 minutes into this I was thinking to myself that this show is top tier and did not realize that it was because Opie was out until much later.

nopie shows seem to "flow" much smoother, compared to shows where Opie's job is to keep the show flowing 😏

It's becoming more difficult to sit through the "Opie" shows after listening to these Nopie uploads. Thanks for putting them out here!

I guess Opie took down Chris Davis' account so he could hear more of himself. Fuck, he had a huge collection of Nopie episodes.

No Opie episode = immediate listen. No Anthony episode = hard pass.

I cannot believe that someone took the time to edit out the greatest broadcaster in the history of the world. I'm an opie fan and proud of it!!! He was the only one with talent on this show. He is the best and funniest radio man in history!! I don't understand why everyone doesn't love him. He knew exactly how to run a show and he knew he wasn't the funny one and you could tell that because he never interrupted when the other guys had a good comedic flow going. I mean c'mon guys, you have to admit that he always went to the phones at the perfect time. Can you blame him for going to the phones?? The brilliant, well informed listeners of this great, award winning level radio show were very smart and always contributed massively to the great flow of this show. Obviously he was the best out of the group because he has the best and largest podcast out there!!! I mean I'm lucky enough to be able to donate straight to opie so he can keep the lights on!! Long live the talented opie!!

Yep, somehow the account that made the "Nopie" playlists was taken down... The timing speaks volumes- we certainly don't hear about things on the air anymore. The show has no balls without jim and ant together

This is the show I realized how awful Opie is. I had been listening for a few months and wanted to like him despite the hate I saw online. That first break about fireworks I realized how much better the show was with him gone.

man, the show was so much more dynamic and unique when Opie wasn't there. the guests come off way more relaxed, conversational and funny too. been a fan since WNEW days and the show was absolutely at it's very best and best to show people who hadn't heard it when it was just ant, jimmy and some of the guests. hell, even just ant and jimmy riffing tops 99% of the show with Opie doing his trite, normie and stupid radio hacks. that said holy shit the uncle paul theme song, the entire bit itself and them hammering it away so much was cringe and largely unfunny. would still take those bits over anything where opie open his yap though.
