In a very short time, Nora has become one of the most loved polar bears in the world. But she almost didn't make it past her first week. This is her story.
One of Tasul's legacies is Nora. Tasul was her first exposure to a bear. Having been abandoned when weeks old, she had no memory of her mother - so Tasul was her only training on how to be a bear. Now she will be introduced to another younger bear - and it seems likely that the training Tasul gave her will have to do for the both of them. They are excellent ambassadors for their species. RIP Tasul.
Mayank Sharma yeah their numbers are decreaseing fast in poles.and thanks for saying such a good thing l really appreciate you from the core of my heart
that's right, but people are stupid and start attacking zoos and protected zones instead of helping. All they care is for the animal to be wild and fulfill those wet dreams and fantasy ones too, they don't think that animals have to be protected before being close to extinction. And people kill animals for black markets when there are few of them and not a lot.
I remember when Nora came to the Hogle zoo. She’s the reason polar bears are my favorite animal. She loved to put on a show for anyone who would watch. She would swim back and forth & we all loved her.
@@CanwegetsubswithoutanyVi-ih4fw 20 - 50 People worked in order to archive this video. Is called appreciation. Generations X parents forget to teach younger to have proper manner.
Daniel Williams you need to worry about yourself, how do you know if she lives in an English speaking country, also would like to point out to you your English is horrible, a third grader would do better!!!
R.I.P Tasul ♥️ Nora is just the cutest cub ever 💙 go watch the video where she is born and raised!! *SAVE THE POLAR BEARS! PLEASE!!* *THE LAST PART IS THE MOST IMPORTANT!* 🙏🙏
That swim fume that you use at this zoo is ingenious. Not only for research but for exercise and stimulation. All zoos need things like these for animals that travel long distances naturally. That's a really great idea and I hope it catches on as enrichment.
As soon as the text says "On her 32nd birthday, Tasul lost her battle with cancer" deym my heart breaks, I cried. To all the people who helps run the Zoos all over the world and takes care of the animals you guys are heroes, For sure God is happy watching you taking care of his creations. Godbless you guys :)
I remember when Nora was first at the Oregon Zoo you guy's loved her and gave her a chance to live a full life, I remember how playful she was too we will miss her big fluffy joyous demeanor, thankyou Oregon Zoo polar bears are worth preserving 👍
I live in Utah and I go to the zoo so many times and every time I love seeing Nora and hope. Thank you for taking good care of her. Everyone loves her.
Amazing love for our family of bears. Wish more people would appreciate that these big creatures need our help to survive and that our survival depends on them as well.
So love watching this darling bear have fun!!! I hope the 'Hope' meeting went well. Polar bears are a magnificent species who need our help. We must never lose the sight of them roaming our northern landscape.
Hey, I live in utah! I remember hearing about Nora, its so neat to hear her full lifes story before coming here. We LOVE polar bears here, she is so spoiled, in a good way of course.
Okay. I'm smitten with Nora❤ What a sweetheart! I'm sorry about Tasul. I couldn't be a zookeeper. Too heart-breaking to say good-bye. However, I do greatly admire and appreciate all you guys do to protect and care for animals. I am super thankful for all the work you do for conservation.
I love her name, Nora and I love her personality. She’s a beautiful energy and the stuff a good children’s book. Saddened by the lost of Tasul. She was a bright and lovely energy. A wonderful story and inspirational. Enjoyed this story‼️💯💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
there's around 20k-25k left, so they might at least have some time. they're becoming more common in canada and alaska iirc, which isn't ideal because of human presence there (the humans and the bears are both at risk of harm if they encounter eachother), but it does at least show that they _can_ move to other cold areas if necessary... i'm with you on it being a bummer though, they deserve to be able to live in the environment they're best adapted for :(
Those Americans who care, need to vote, and make fighting climate change with the rest of the planet as much of a priority as the science deniers in charge.
Cain Marko, Because the USA is now the _only_ country on the planet to reject the Paris Climate Accords. While climate science denial exists across the world, it's reached epidemic levels in America.
Cain Marko. In case you had forgotten you have that specimen called Trump as the biggest climate change denier. Because of the power he has as the so-called leader of the free world, has decided to opt out of the Paris agreement on climate change as he doesn't believe it is happening. Is now allowing pipe lines through beautiful, uninhabited areas of Alaska, when they were prohibited during the last government, and I have just heard in the last few days, he is easing the curb on vehicle emisions. I rest my case!
I love the Oregon Zoo. The Polar Bear exhibit is the best ever! I remember many years ago, how the animal exhibits were barren and full of concrete. The transformations and improvements are awe inspiring. If you ever go visit Portland, you must check it out! The Elephants are also pretty cool 😀 💙💚💛🧡💜
As you say if each person who loves these bears etc quits the trash , plastic and so much more that ruin much we could all help save the world ...* An inspirational video
HelenaMikas it’s mostly large corporations that are responsible. Even if every single individual were to recycle all of their plastic, not use plastic bags, etc., there would still be the same issues.
Watching this video made me appreciate the beauty of nature and the incredible diversity of animal life. It's incredible how animals, big or small, can effortlessly bring a smile to our faces. They possess a unique ability to evoke emotions of love, compassion, and pure happiness.
