Wow! it's a good job I didn't see these comments before I went. My friends treated me to a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast for my Birthday this May 31st to 1st June. First time stay for us all at the Norbreck and I can say we all enjoyed it. Spotlessly clean rooms, and I know cos I have done that job myself. Food was really good, hot and plentiful, staff friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning, we loved it!
I don't know why they list this hotel as in Blackpool, its on the far outskirts in Bispham, I'm sure it took about 30 mins on the tram to get to the main Blackpool centre when I was there
I was working in Fleetwod for 6 weeks, and my company put me in a hotel called The North Euston. Great place, good food etc. The guys from another company working with us said they were staying at Norbreck castle and said it was a massive shithole.
spent my honeymoon there in1980 remember it being ok caused a bit of excitement when other guests realised we had just msrried thought i would read the comments for old times sake sorry i did lol
i been there, lovely reception area n stuff but rooms I stayed are not good, very run down. I remember seeing the fire escape where we were at the time too
The only time I went in was probably in 1945, when I was 4, and my mum took me there to register something..no idea what it was being used for in those days...
Very cheap,always rooms available and clean ,I do think some people are being unfair to The Norbreck Castle Hotel. ALL parking is free on the relatively safety of the grounds and trams into Blackpool and the Golden Mile every 10-15 minutes ! I have stayed in luxury Hotels in Dubai but would happily book here again especially for The Illuminations !
I was horrified when i stayed in this place, watching this video looks like not a single thing has changed, the room looked out onto dustbins and some carpark, but the ballroom was nice. 😢
Sometimes the card doesn't work and we try and try but eventually it opens our neighbours opposite they're in the same troupe but last time we let them in our room because they were locked out until the reception gave them another card
We dance in the ballroom and for bigger girls the norcalympia idk how to spell it Babies:6-8 Tots:8-10 Me/tinies:10-12 Me again/Juniours:12-14 Seniors:14-16 I'm am 11 almost 12 but we have to be 12 in January to move up so next year I'm only in Juniours but it is because I'm more advanced with my tricks
I’ve been here few times it has a bad reputation the bus driver shouts FAWLTY TOWERS when bus pulls in ,lol I always thought the rooms and bedding were clean and the food ok ,only thing puts me off going again is it’s TOO FAR from the town BUT I AM CURRENTLY STUCK AT HOME ON LOCKDOWN AND WOULD GO THERE TOMORROW IF THEY TAKING BOOKINGS WITHOUT A DOUBT ...I LOVE BLACKPOOL !!!
We go here for an all weekender majorettes competition and one of my mates puked due to raw bacon so did my sister and they both nearly puked during a dance and when they finished their dance they got undressed out of their costume, went up to their hotel rooms and both threw up felt bad for them going in March april time and then a bunch of competitions in Oldham Manchester and September 27th-29th
Michael Whetter Tram to Fleetwood from Starr gate was available to over 60s for a few years, until the council decided on this move to try to save money. You have it one day and they take it away the next.
Its Blackpool council not Fylde I live in the next borough which is Fylde Borough council and we cant use Blackpool trams but all our amenities are in Blackpool Wyre Borough which is at the other end of Blackpool can use the trams We are all Lancashire county council so I don't understand the problem incidentally you have to be 65 here to get a bus pass
What a dump. Rooms out dated carpet are filthy out side grounds full of litter and cigarette ends. Only saving grace is that staff were pleasant and food was decent. Book at your own peril
The Britannia hotel in Birmingham isn't very nice either as the staff were rude and I didn't like the stockport one as the staff were rude and the food wasn't very nice. I had gone to stockport with a coach party and there was a group there who had come to celebrate a colleagues retirement and had been very disappointed with the place. The package had included Sunday lunch and I ate some vegetables that tasted like water and I ended up spitting them out at the table and had said how they were disgusting and another customer said everything about the place is disgusting! Not a place I would return to! Most of the Britannia hotels aren't very nice!
It's a dump simple as out of date hotel the people who run it should be ashamed of there self's it's stinks inside the rooms as well I have stay there never again avoid !!!!!!
This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, been staying there for the last 10 years, every year and it is an incredible stay, rooms are excellent, staff are so lovely, the food is delicious and they have great fun at night for kids and elders, it’s such a lovely stay, anyone saying others is completely and utterly and idiot and a complete fool
How much have you been paid by them to say that we were put in there by national holidays about 6 year's ago and it was a dump then the food was that bad we had to go into blackpool town to get something to eat at night we went to Chinese takeaway at the back Street just of the hotel was so glad to get out of there every morning and came back late had takeaway and bed it was the longest 4 days I've ever spent
