I have a vid where I play classical music in a sort of free-improvisational form if you're interested. Not high quality just a cell video for fun, but playing in that style presents a whole different set of challenges than jazz while improvising.

@@shan5445 I don't think the genre has anything to do with it. People don't show enthusiasm when they see awesome Jazz musicians play either. If you watch old videos of the Golden Era of Jazz and how crowds went wild over Jazz musicians like Ellington, Oscar Peterson, Charlie Parker etc. and treated them like rock stars in comparison to how crowds are subdued today, it would blow your mind. Instrumentalists are not popular or appealing anymore like they used to be. Today, crowds are into singers and rappers.

@Ricky Anthony Nah, that's not it. There are music festivals like Lollapalooza where music artists in that environment are all great and the crowds go crazy when they hit the stage.

That’s how it came out in the moment. Plus, I’ve done enough ballads through out the years, and it’s very hard to do that @ namm. It’s very noisy in there. Generally I really don’t like playing a lot of notes, but sometimes music goes that way.

No, it has much more. But even if it would be so, does it matter? A grand piano has only one sound and it’s ok. As well a guitar or a trumpet or a Fender Rhodes. 😉
