Thanks to you Steve for keeping us informed, entertained , and up to speed with all you’re purchases, really looking forward to see how these 2 new European bikes go, hope for quick right hand and back recovery, also good for us so you can get back into it more seriously and keep us entertained. Love you’re work, and knowledge of all related to riding and exploring, feel like I’m right there with you.
Yep. When riding with Wendy I’m one of those OCD blokes. But riding alone I’m happy to take it as it comes. Good to hear the vids will be more regular next year. And good to hear you “light up” whenever talking about Ms B.
She does light me up mate. LOL. To be fair when I'm two up, I have be a little more selective about where we stop, so yeah I get it, it take more planning. Can't just sleep by the side of the road with the Princess onboard. 😃😇
Hi Scott, Merry Christmas to you and yours, thanks for dropping in. Just checked some of your covers, you've go some pipes mate, great work. I'll have to send a request. Take care.
Thanks for the great year, your Xmas break looking forward to next year content. Merry Christmas to all. In mid January I’ll be making my way to Adelaide via snowy mountains great ocean rd on my trusty ST1300 or maybe my kto 640 adventure. More than likely it will be the ST final vogue as just clocked over 90k ( toying with idea upgrade) I want to hit a 100k first, anyway I’ll have 2 weeks to play with 🍻👍👍🍷
Merry Xmas to you to mate. Interested to see how the Norden performs as I came very close to getting one myself but in the end got the new Africa which I'm loving. May 2024 be filled full of adventures. Cheers.
Hi Simon, Merry Christmas to you and yours. Hope you are well mate. I saw the new AT, looks good. So far the Expedition is doing well, we are still getting to know each other but so far it looks good.
Merry Christmas from South Texas. I’ve been watching your videos since 2017, the year I bought my VFR 1200X. Well, I traded that bike, which I really liked for my 2018 Goldwing DCT, non tour, which I love, and best touring bike ever built😁! But I found myself missing the X. Bought the F because I wanted to see what 170bhp felt like and have had lots of fun on it, but not quite as comfortable as the X, so I bought another X, big red one. Delivery date will be 12/25/23! I suspect it’ll be a great Christmas because temps will be in the 70’s and I should be riding! Enjoy watching your videos. Ride safe….🙏🏻🏍🙏🏻😎😁
Hey mate, thanks for hanging around. You know, when I was doing the rounds of the bike shops looking for my next bike, I sat Ms Buttons on a Goldwing. She said, “shut up and take my money” 😂😂 so you never know, we might be following your path. Mate of mine just bought an F, scary fast, but as you say not as comfortable as the X. Ironic the Santa should arrive on a big Red Honda for you this year. Enjoy the new wheels. Thanks. 🙏
I almost bought the Norden too. I like how it looks and rides, but the Demo bike had so many issues (like I was unable to use CC, Intercom didn't work with the phone, when phone was connected to the bike. I couldn't use phone at all, so had to disconnect. I hope you have better luck :) I tested the bike with my Kriega OS system and it worked well. Happy Holidays!
Hey mate, good to hear from you again. Haven't had any issues at all. I was able to connect the Phone, headset and Ride app no problem. Hope you are doing well. Stay warm my friend
I thought the stock racks would work well with that style soft luggage. 👍 Have a super time in New Zealand! Ms Buttons, keep Steve in line. 😂 Merry Christmas! 🎄 🎅 Happy Festivus as well! 😂 RIP Mrs Jones. 🥃 Welcome to the family Roxette! 🍻
BTW, another channel I watch The All Year Motorcyclist asked us for the top channels that we watch and I listed you. 👍 His top ten channels were UK based since he is as well but I put your name out there. 😊
@@BigBikeAdventures The biggest reason I follow Aussie channels is that I like you guys and you have epic areas to ride. I have great roads but my off road or two lane gravel/dirt choices are quite a ways off. Unless I want to chance riding into an illegal pot grow and getting shot. 😂 I’m going to give OnX off-road a try this year as it shows who owns land and if it is public. Plus, I’m from the Midwest but have lived in California since 02. I don’t have any riding buddies in my immediate area. You guys are my bros. 👍
Talking to my gal. She tells me that I didn’t answer your question. 😂 I like your channel. And a few others for exactly what you mentioned, you created a community. You aren’t I. It for the commercialism or ego like so many of the RU-vid content creators. I do have a couple US based guys that are friends for the same reasons.
@@pinkiewerewolf LOL, thanks mate. Good to see someone watching over your shoulder. 😂😂 I’ve driven across Utah, Arizona, Nevada and would love to ride a bike across all of North America. I started the channel as a place to keep records of my rides with mates. Data storage for free. One of the greatest joys for me was when I was travelling in the van and meeting up with Subscribers everywhere I went. It’s a fantastic community, people are awesome.
Seems like it would be more efficient to remove the factory racks, thereby eliminating the weight of the racks while also bringing the weight and girth of the luggage in closer to the bike.
I'm just gonna stick my head up here... 😆 I can't believe you admitted "on air" that you read a manual!! And now I feel bad that I had assumed your gender 🤣😅 All the best mate for '24. Enjoy NZ BTW Xmas is the only time I miss the weather back in Ireland, I could do with some cold air about now😁
Merry Xmas to you and yours Steve. Your comments about the transfer of engine heat on the Norden are interesting. I've noticed a lot of engine heat (on my left lower leg particularly) on my '23 890 Adventure. Went for a long ride yesterday and in addition, the rider's seat was hotter than I expected. Not ideal for my Sth-East Qld summer riding. Forum comments talk about the radiator heat being re-directed towards the rider with the new faring design. Perhaps a cat-delete will help, not sure, and I don't want an overly-loud bike. I think the Norden and the 890 have essentially the same engine, though the faring design is obviously somewhat different. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts as you ride in 2024. Stay safe mate, and I hope you have an enjoyable break in NZ.
Cat delete coming early next year and a heat guard, it’s more tolerable with ADV boots on, but with my road boots which just cover the ankles, it’s pretty hot. We sure don’t need heated seats after 5mins parked in the sun. I can only imagine I’ll use that when I head down south in winter.
