A Nordhavn runs on Oreo's. This looks like a great all around boat, not only a good boat for coastal and ocean going, but also will still fit on canals those of us in the east have. There are not a lot of boats that cross over very well, the Elling E3/E4 were good fits and then this came along. I thought Nordhavn were built in Taiwan, but I hear these ones come from Turkey.
@@simonbriggs28 There is no Portuguese bridge on the 51. The 475 and 52 has it but those are not of the Turkish built more standard boats (less options but a much better price).
Is there room to have a water maker added to this boat at the time of its build in Turkey? Could the short couch on the port side be left out of the design in favor of an office desk area and some additional storage or is there some type of tankage under that couch?

For what I have seen on RU-vid and read on forums, Nordhavn does a very good job of helping with training to operate the boat so that new owners are comfortable to go out on their own. I'm sure they will also help with permits and all the legal issues. if you are serious about wanting a boat, contact Nordhavn.
@balls up "Its been tested at 900 to *10k miles..."* Ten *thousand* miles? On 900 gallons? It's hard to imagine. Of course that's at a mere 4 knots, but still!
Nordhavn has said the decibel reading are low. One thing to consider on these videos is how they were filmed and what camera was used. Digital processing will sometimes amplify the wrongs sounds and if not adjusted can makes things sound out of balance. If I was buying one of these I would take one for a sea trial, if possible, before I put up a deposit. Unfortunately I don't have the money to buy one of these at the moment.
