James, as per the comment below, you have a special talent for being able to honestly discuss the issues with a vessel, without discouraging someone from wanting to own the yacht you are presenting. If I was in the market, and I will be eventually, I would not hesitate to buy a boat from you.
If I ever found myself with enough money to own and maintain a Nordhavn, I would go to nobody but you for my purchase. You are the most educated person when it comes to these beautiful works of art. Your videos are the most in-depth and educational of any videos out there. You always take the time to show the pros and cons of each boat. Your workmanship of the headliners you have replaced and the other things you have done to a lot of these boats, shows the quality you expect is like no other! Thank you for the hard work you do to bring us these videos, if not for you many of us would never see these boats, let alone get such a great detailed tour of the interior and how the systems all operate!
I love your honesty James! Like the hatch hitting the door in the cockpit... I appreciate how you will be walking through a yacht and point something out and say "They weren't using their head when they built that!" Even the people that purchase boats from you will appreciate your honesty because salesmen don't have a reputation for being honest! You're the only person I would ever buy a yacht from.... And I will have one some day! ;)

One thing that seems to get missed on everyone’s Nordhavn walkthroughs is practical storage of bulky items. Pantries and cupboards are always mentioned but: after seeing Mermaid Monster clear the decks in preparation for a Hurricane, I’m not so impressed with the storage space. They filled the Captain’s cabin to the overhead with seat/deck pads and other items, making it otherwise unusable. It would be great if you could address this in one of your videos. Thanks a lot for the great videos!
I own a Krogen 39 I only carry what I can stow, It’s too easy to “clutter” a boat up I tell guest before they come if you want something soft to sit on bring your own cause my butt pad is only for me

Why…why have I watched everyone of your walk-through Nordhavn videos knowing damn well that I’ll never be able to afford such a vessel? Because the knowledge, passion, and commitment that you’ve exhibited, not only to the owners of these boats but to your family and employees of your company is refreshing. It's great to finally get an actual objective review of these yachts. Most are simply sales pitches that tell us how great everything is, with little explanation of how good or poor things function in actual conditions. Prop's to you James for a thoughtful and insightful review.
I almost never comment, love these boats…..but this technical tour is exactly what this old engineer loves. Great job, spot on. Give me a couple years and we will be in Florida looking for something in this range.
I will never come close to a Nordhavn or even a motorboat. But this walkthrough I’ve seen now for the 5-6th time. Its like ballet you have no interest in on paper but that you can not stop watching. Best work in biz
I have to say, that was one of the most informative walk-throughs I've seen yet. I'm a future Nordhavn owner at some point and the description/applications of all the systems you went over were enlightening to say the least. But, it also follows across any other brand someone might be interested in. Very useful for anyone looking at purchasing a boat. That being said, I couldn't be more sold on the Nordhavn brand thanks to your matter-of-fact, no bs approach to educating someone in the market for one. Every boat has pluses/minuses but its so helpful to know them up front rather than sugarcoating to make the sale. Great job, subscribed!

Watching your videos I’m on the threshold of wanting a rowboat, which I could expertly maintain and operate, and a Nordhavn. But the more I watch your presentations, my confidence in learning to operate a trawler grows. I would love this little ship if it topped at 14 knots like the newer larger Nordhavn models. Brother; as a retired since '04' high speed production equipment electro mechanical tech, I learn more watching these vids of James going through a nautical set-up than I would spending a month reading the nomenclature. Guru Status!
my favorite part is the little nook sleeping area in the pilot house - i can sleep there, the kids can sleep there, its perfect hangout with the seating area infant of it.

It may take a lottery win to buy a Nordhavn, so there is doubt that I'll own one. But there is no doubt who I would have service it. That would be Yacht Tech. Fantastic videos. Thank you for taking the time to make another stunning, in depth videos. I have worked with LIon systems in data centers. Some used a gyro to stabilise current and hold for brief outages from switching to alternate power. Not stab gyro weights required. Supercap is an exciting and potentially dangerous thing. The short protection is normally strong and redundant so it dosent make big bad boom. These were tested as warheads and found to be something not quite ready with weight to blast ratio.
You are the man - love Nordhavns - 57 is my choice (maybe a 50? or 55?) - in about 3 years for my retirement - I do have a question - curious what your response is to people that claim these are plastic boats and do not compare to steel - my response is - give me examples of a problem that a Nordhavn had that steel would have been better - which of course they cannot (except fire but I doubt fire is good on any vessel). The next is weight - and my response is more weight is sometimes used to compensate for bad hull designs... comments?

Transporting boats most of my life i thought i was fairly well versed.You have just showed me how little i really know.I really like the way you discuss the pro and cons of each model. I think if you really want to know which model James likes the best, you need to sit across from him at a large table, with your millions in hand and say. “James, let’s order a brand new Nordhavn, and spec it out with every system the exact make and model, you would install if it were for your own boat”
Thankyou James for the lesson in helium 3 and 4 with 63 and 64 foot boats. I've been busy using the helium against the radiation in Europe which isn't going anywhere quickly

Thanks a lot! We will continue to do trawler reviews and in the future expand our horizon to other manufacturers. We hope to include Selene, Marlow, Kadey Krogen, Fleming, and maybe more. At some point there will be separate videos covering individual systems such as hydraulics, stabilizers, batteries, electrical, air conditioning, generators, thrusters, etc...
Great to see you reviewing a boat again! What's your opinion on the venerable N46. Her low profile? What do you consider the smallest size for a 2 man/woman crewed boat for extended stays still giving enough privacy to both guests and crew? 76?
Thankyou James for the 63 64 thing. I am into helium 3 and 4 that impregnates boats from the moon and the bmx v racer difference is just one of those things. I understand the $1 mill difference. I had this thing between V8 cars and 6 and 4 cylinders.

Hi James and Mathew, great honest down to earth reviews guys, have watched everything I can find on the N55 and please James can you you do a three hour or three day review on them as I am seriously keen on them.. Please include your thoughts on the pros and cons on Single versus the twin engines.
Got to say I love your in depth reviews. You talk the way I did when selling cars, tell people the truth, don't gloss over any shortcomings and most important of all don't sound like a typical sales man. People tend to appreciate that a lot more than the normal amount of bulshittery. Great videos. Any chance of doing a N68 in the future sometime?
The costs of ownership as I tried to point out to someone lusting after a Nordhaven on the hard in Southampton boil down to one simple statement that if you have to ask then these boats are not for you. They are so difficult to quantify you can only arrive at an approximate figure after the fact so a year cruising for one might only be half or maybe twice as much for another in terms of total costs. She still wants one and knowing her she will get one and I can't blame her for that, great boats.
