NORDIC SESSION is a collaboration between the duo LÅNGBACKA/BÅDAGÅRD and a group of innovative Swedish musicians known for their crossover music. The session takes inspiration from the BBC's Transatlantic Sessions, which brought together folk musicians from Great Britain and North America, to create unique music.
Långbacka/Bådagård aims to explore and define the "Nordic sound" through inspireing talks and jam sessions with the musician their meeting. What is traditional music, can you blend it with other musical influences without losing its soul, and what do people mean when they say something sounds Nordic?
