Holiday on the Norfolk Broads aboard Mystic Horizon 1 from Horizon Craft, Acle. The original daily video log of events as they happen aboard one of the boats you can hire on the rivers and lakes that make up the Norfolk Broads.
This guy should get a medal for common sense where the boat owners are just looking for profit & economy boat things...this guy gives the separated open view...subscribe if your a norfolk broads fan he is a really nice guy that works hard to make your holidays better..
Hired Brinks Duet a few times which is very similar to Mystic Horizon, really enjoyed it! Returning to the Broads in October but this time on 'Waveney Pegasus', a new 2019 boat.
Thanks you - as time passed the boat grew on me and very much enjoyed the way one could handle it with such ease and the great views it offered from the cockpit - but it also was a tight fit as you will see in the upcoming blogs under bridges!
Glad to see the rascal is back. Great vlog. But not to keen on that kind of boat. I will also be on the broads in October with Rsspecial1 can not wait. And watching your vlogs remind me of such good times on the broads. Keep up the good vlogs.
Useful windscreen wiper , not like the one I had ...all said though think I would prefer the Herbert Woods Shimmering Light boat I had , full sized toilet and a bath ,this is bit small although looks good from outside ..good Blog.
I was going to do one on that very boat for a 3 day break, but at over £1,000 for such a short trip I instead did a a first since 2011 where it all began and hired with Herbert Woods - Western Light. This was half the cost and a very nice boat without the annoying low wash hull Fair Monarch has (and others from them) which causes so much noise when moored with the wavelets hitting it. However I am trying to keep people interested by once again hiring boats despite now owning three.
Thanks for the reply I'm on fair monarch Sep 10th and I totally understand very expensive for you look forward to more boat reviews I find them interesting and very helpful keep up the good work. Jason
I think would need to be Sunlit Horizon (Aquafibre Pearl 38) - super easy to handle, great space and the sliding canopy over the centre cockpit means it will pass under all bridges (well may not usually Potter).
Hey Robin, another fab blog! We are thinking also of hiring sonata from brinks for a week early march! What are your thoughts? Heard you mention about you hiring sonata 4. Would you reccomend? Jamie n Daleb
I would avoid Sonata. While cheap, it is so so tiny with the only place you can stand up (when not in cockpit) is by the single burner electric hob. No oven, just 1 hob and a microwave and a kettle that will boil one and a half mugs worth of water. I was pleased only had it for a weekend, and fed up with how many times I hit my head!
