Hello everyone. Caught Operation Life Saver on the the Catasaqua and Foglesville industrial spur. This is in Foglesville PA, right off of Snowdrift rd. The box cars are empties being taken back to mainline after being switched out. Thank you for watching. 7/1/24

That's an awesome catch both for location and motive power! I've never caught any of the locals running on that branch.

Yup. You're fortunate to have railroads where you are. Where I live (in Michigan) our railroad went away 40 years ago)

Hey Samuel. There has to be a ton of abandoned railbeds in your corner of the world. Do you happen to follow Nancy Haun? She gets some great upper peninsula footage.

@@kevinsalsbury2118 I live in the lower peninsula of Michigan. Most of the soil here is sandy - and there are some obvious signs of old railroad grades - but most of the old grades tend to disappear fairly quickly (unless they get made into a trail - which many are)

hi kevin.....your dog stella is main actraction.blazing each tour..... .u should do some videos of lvrr abandond easton and norther branch [rail trail] especially west easton existing timber tresle .........and cnj rr abandond easton to bethlehem pa main line many colverts exist plus coal bins next to burned down easton passenger station and freight house ...... and cnj rr stone remains of stone foundation of water tank and turn table in glen oko [driving toward glen oko look on rght side on glen oko park road see rr grade going up into woods ...where active tresle crosses lehigh river on left side of glen oko park rd]]

Hi Tim. There is no doubt Stella is great! She's been a bit sick and the heat doesn't help but she'll be joining us again soon. I know of all the spots you have mentioned and definitely want to check them all out. I've been to the CNJ stuff at Glenn Onoko back when you could still hike the falls trail. The Easton and Northern bridge over the Lehigh is one of the most intimidating structures I've ever seen. Never seen anyone try to cross that thing. The CNJ tracks are on the list, just not sure when. There is so much to see all over the place. Thank you for reaching out Tim and have a good night.

Looks like you're standing on a Spur that hasn't seen service for a while. Apparently some food firm is across that set of tracks as I see a CRYO car. The short Freight that went by you is still using those odd MD&W brown boxcars that are long and were built for East Camden & Highland and are not the usual green IBT cars which operates in the same place but theoretically only owns the bridge between Ontario and Minnesota. Why must things always be so complex?
