Norfolk Southern's R3 Dual Rail Gang replacing ribbon rail on the EC-line (Part 2) - 12/3/2020 

On December 3rd, 2020, I went out to Norfolk Southern's EC-line a few miles timetable east of James City, NC to document the R3 Dual Rail Gang replacing the existing 1950s era 100lb rail with newer 136lb rail. The R3 Dual Rail Gang was staying in New Bern for the course of about two weeks - replacing rail between James City (across the Trent River from New Bern) and Havelock, NC. In this video (part 2 of 2), shot at Riverdale Rd and East Camp Kiro Rd, I documented contract crews filling in the crossing, the R3 Gang picking up the temporary rail clamps, and the equipment 'parade' heading back west to the siding in James City. I also shot NS P29 heading back west to New Bern from Morehead City - flagging the crossings and running on a speed restriction. Enjoy the video!
