Norfolk Southern Steam Program 25th Anniversary, November 3, 1991(Day 2) 

In November of 1991 the Norfolk Southern decided to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Southern Steam Program, now the Norfolk Southern Steam Program after the Norfolk & Western and Southern Railways merged in 1982. The second day showcased a triple header with Southern #4501 leading Norfolk and Western #611 and #1218 from Sitico Yard to Ootlewah, TN. After this, the two N&W engines would continue double heading to Atlanta. This would be the last mainline steam triple header until 2006.
