A few months late reporting this, but it’s back in service as of at least 5 months ago. Probably was just in storage awaiting its time in the shops in the video shown.
I dont think this is the dead line. I might be wrong. But that might be the repair track. Were they go down ane see if the locomotive is worth repairing then repair it.
It stinks how they park all these good locos in Altoona and let them collect rust when they are due for maintenance, leaving them possibly even worse off then before. ehh most of them will see service one way or another again. I'm sure old NS management still thinks it was a good idea to lay off all those workers.
