cool vid man i was wondering about the chamber brush on the m14 too and i found out its supposed to clean the chamber, Here are the steps; 1) take a section of your cleaning rod and thread it into the holes in the brush ratchet end. 2) Stick the brush into the chamber and have the rod vertical 3) Release the bolt and use the spring pressure to hold the brush in the chamber. 4) ratchet the chamber clean. I do about 40 strokes back and forth. 5) Get the brush out. Easy way is to use your dewey rod and nock it out from the muzzle to the chamber, the hard way is grab the section of cleaning rod threaded into it and yank it out. also the nut wrench on that comes with it is supposed to take off the gas plug on the front of your gun to clean the gas piston/gas block. Also if you go shooting and its not too accurate there are small thins you can do the accurate it even more, did it to mine and its probably more accurate than a out of box springfeild. One last thing is that the stories of the 400$ m305 are gone, pretty much all are gonna be 650$+.
+Mister Melvinheimer yeh i figured out the gas rod release wrench and all.. but the brush is still a wonder to me... lol thanx for that info. very helpfull.... so i should still get a .30 cal brush for the boar then? cause i all i have is a chambre brush?
+sgt. Nickel Yeah id go with a normal 30 cal brush but honestly just one or two pulls with a bore snake is good enough for it. 308 or 7.62x51 is pretty clean so not much effort is needed for the barrel.
It's called a chamber brush download and M 14 manual and it will tell you everything you need to know about the M14.when I first got my M1 A1 from Springfield it's been over 20 years ago and M 14 manual came with it,but the M1 A1 it's not the same inside as the M14 The only thing they have in common is a 20 round magazine besides that is the same rifle as the M1.
No 4 enfeild bolt action smle all the way if it's all wood stalk decent head spacing with full wood military stalk, i'l pay $1200,00 canadian for one, just saying, but m14 is semi.
A No.4 is not an SMLE, by the 30's the SMLE had become No.1 Mk.3. I have found a scoure for No.4's that came from an Italy Navy cache that was giving to them from Canada. Though whats throwing me off on the No.4 is the cost to feed it 303 and spare parts are not readily available. The M305, you can get AIA M10 mags, large aftermarket, it's 7.62nato/.308, and it's semi-auto for fun times out in the woods. Though, the history of the No.4 is what draws me to it. Spent may hours researching family members, one was a Loyal Eddie who was KIA during the Battle of Rimini. However, I have been bloody waiting 6 months for my PAL and it's driving me nuts with having to wait. Because I love firearms and shooting but, I am also Frist Nation and would like to be able to feed me and my family.
Excellent But i dont think you will need spare parts for lee engfeild unless you shoot it more then 4 max till cool down and scope mounts are esy to get but m 305 are fun, but my safety is a fail it reseases when trigger is pulled, lee engfeild locks the bolt.
Mainly the cost of ammo. I haven't had access to firearms growing up (19 right now) and I kinda want to make up for that lol. Ah, I'll just have to make my decision when I get my PAL...
sgt. Nickel thats awesome except the price i saw a M16 looking assault rifle what fired 5.56 and it was non restricted and on sale for 650 dollars idk id like a assault rifle for not to much more than 800 dollars and non restricted if you know any please hook me up
1000Commando that is weird how they state it... thanx for the share i will look more into this. i like it better then the bulky 5 round that comes with it..
