Thanks for having Norm on.Long time Norm watcher/ reader here. Love that he brought up the material realities of protest; incredibly expensive tuition and ruined job prospects. He should know about the latter point. It really does put things in perspective. It really is tough to do the right thing, and thank goodness some brave souls will do it anyway.
Most of us feel that way and as things are going, they (Zionists and their supporters) are gonna get more and more aggressive like animals trapped. Doesn't matter the resistance will win none the less
Very true. My soul bleeds for his moral necessity of this horrible situation to Have To Occupy his time by existing. I weep for the works not done because their dumb af genoc1de had to exist. The tragedy is real. This man would ponder and pontificate precisely what is needed critically elsewhere is the fake je_ nazis didn't do this train car-style ethnic cleansing campaign EVERY DAY. But, due to this current US Biden/kamala Harris genocide campaign, we have to settle ......... or not. Neither get my vote. We're all racing off a cliff anyway. I will not vote for a genocider. I learned enough history and religion to not damn my own soul for the neo(con/lib) moral bankruptcy. They can " roll in their greive " about their choice. Mine is to deny Kamala, the copilot of Auswitz 2.0, my vote. Not changing until she does. So far nothing. ~50 days left.
If someone ever tells you that hurt their feelings while having a discussion on any political/societal problem, your immediate response should be: that’s your problem.
I counted 20 "you knows" and "likes" in the first 90 seconds while Ben was introducing the topic. Take a lesson from Norm: slow down the delivery, formulate and articulate your sentences more precisely, then carve into the debate effectively.
Mr. Finkelstein, Would you one day make a video about a list of 20 Books you recommend reading....any topic..Fiction...Non-Fiction.....any subject, etc. Perhaps start your own YT ch.
So where are the geographical roots of the so called Palestinians??????? Hamas Minister of the Interior and of National Security Fathi Hammad, aired by Al-Hekma TV on March 23, 2012. Stated..........we all have Arab roots, and every Palestinian, in Gaza and throughout Palestine, can prove his Arab roots - whether from Saudi Arabia, from Yemen, or anywhere. We have blood ties. Personally, half my family is Egyptian. We are all like that. More than 30 families in the Gaza Strip are called Al-Masri ["Egyptian"]. Brothers, half of the Palestinians are Egyptians and the other half are Saudis. Who are the Palestinians? We have many families called Al-Masri, whose roots are Egyptian. Egyptian! They may be from Alexandria, from Cairo, from Dumietta, from the North, from Aswan, from Upper Egypt. We are Egyptians. The so called Palestinians are not even from the region known as Palestine!!!!!! Salma Fayumi, a resident of Kafr Qasim (Palestin/Israel) confirms Fathi Hammad above statements Salma Fayumi, a resident of Kafr Qasim (Palestin/Israel),spoke on the show "Master Chef." Fayumi proudly showed off her Kushari dish that she prepared, "Egyptian cuisine made of rice and lentil." "My family came from Egypt, from Faiyum, and I am Salma Fayumi from Faiyum," the cook from Kafr Qasim said.
I question Ben's framing of the left and free speech. When has the left advocated for the government to violently suppress the speech of pieceful protesters? Ben's criticism of the left and free speech almost seems like pandering.
Trans activists are doing this all the time. With the near total support of 'the left'. Trans activists are not waiting for the police, they have physically attacked women speakers. They are gunning for regulating speech in regard to trans ideology.
@@nickcharles1284 BS, crybully nonsense. Trans people are more likely to be victims of violence than some white supremacist TERF. Get outta here with that horseshit.
Talk about this... "There is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not." -- Arab Princeton Professor, Philip Hitti, before the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry in Jerusalem in 1946. In 1937, Secretary of the Arab Higher Committee to the British Peel Commission, Awni Abd al-Hadi stated: “There is no such country as Palestine. ‘Palestine’ is a term the Zionists invented.” "We [Palestinians] were never an independent state in history, we were part of an Arab state and an Islamic state.” -- Palestinian Hamas Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahhar (quoted in The Economist, February 2, 2008) "Never forget this one point: There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian entity, there is only Syria. You are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria." Syrian President Hafez al-Assad [Addressing the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization Yasser Arafat during a meeting with leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1976] Zahir Muhsein was a Palestinian leader of the pro-Syria As-Sa'iqa Ba'athist faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization between 1971 and 1979. In an interview with Trouw Magazine, 31. March 1977 he stated....."The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons. The establishment of a Palestinian state is a new tool to continue the fight against Israel and for Arab unity.
Great show and questions. Just please consider dedicating some time working on cutting down on the "you know". With my ADHD I find it extremely distracting and I start counting them. I hope you take it as constructive criticism... I say that a lot myself and I know it's not easy to be mindful of it. Keep up the great work otherwise ❤
@@harleyking88 Yah, ethnostates all have 30% minority citizen population with the same right as the majority. And they always make sure to put the minority into the judicial, legislative, and executive branches, let them have jobs as doctors, lawyers, and engineers, and provide them with weapons to operate as part of the police forces and have them serve in all military branches. Makes sense to me. I think you're onto something! One thing is clear, and I'm sure you'd agree Arab/Muslim countries are definitely not ethnostates, they are far too diverse. Jews would have great lives as citizens of Palestine. The NY Times reported that Arab Muslims are currently 1.5 percent of the 30,000-member national police force, and the right-wing public security minister seeks to increase that number in three years by adding 1,350 new ones. Many would work in Arab cities and towns, where the ministry has promised to open 12 new police stations. Total ethnostate!
@@TheOldTurds-c7c alright,so why do Zionists always claim it's anti semitic to be against the existence of Israel? Lol. If it's a structure that includes even non jewish identities,SO IT'S NOT ANTISEMITE AT ALL. And also that's not true. Palestinians have the right to return as Jews? And all people who ever lived in that area in the past?

My German teacher was a radio broadcaster, in addition to being a Goethe scholar. I used to say, "You know" all the time. It drove him crazy. One day he diplomatically brought it up. Once I realized I was doing it, it bugged me too. I stopped doing it.
