He'll donate his corpse to a young unknown Canadian comedian to carry around on the street and ask people if they wouldn't mind holding it for them for a few minutes.
RIP norm. i wasnt hugely into him but i was shocked to hear about his death yesterday. i remember watching him host some vh1 show or something one time and he was absolutely hilarious
Didn't even know he existed. I don't have a tv in my house. I was an actress who quit the business to raise my daughter when I was pretty young. I spent my last year in Toronto hanging out with Dan Aykroyd. I just discovered Norm last night. I have been watching his interviews for 24 hours! RIP, man.
Of the 10 hours of watching Norm on RU-vid, this interview may be the greatest. The only disappointment I felt was that it wasn’t an hour longer. Bless you Tom.
This is such a diamond in the rough. 2 weird as Canadian boys just staying whatever the fuck haha. Something about Toms anxious, nervous demenor and norm just being so chill, talking about whatever comes to mind, is amazing.
Tom Green is the only person immune to Norms Hilarity. I swear Norm could say anything and its freaking hilarious but Tom's just like "cool, ok, yea, sure" 😂
Thats just how Tom is, i've never seen him have a belly laugh or go into involuntary laughter, i think he has ADHD and is always too busy thinking to really let shit sink in.
@@King_Flippy_Nips Ohh is that what it is? Unfortunately his reactions make him seem bored or like he's trying to move on to something he's interested in.

Tom Green has always got the most honest version of Norm - everytime since like 2007. I think Howard Stern always failed to get Norm vulnerable because Norm wasn't as comfortable there but with Tom something special happens
Yeah I see comments here criticizing Tom for not gut laughing at every word out of Norms mouth... But that's why this is so good. They're peers more than interviewer and interviewed. Norm has a free a loose energy about him that you didn't get in a lot of 'main stream's formats. Great stuff.
"Yeah, I'm against OJ for committing double murder. I'm not against him for having brain cancer." I think Norm is the most human a human being can possibly be. He sees the nastiness on both sides and makes light of it somehow.
I feel privileged to have seen Norm at yukyuks in Waterloo, ON in the late 80s…everyone in the audience laughed so hard and we all knew we were witnessing possibly the funniest person we would ever witness…it made me feel like I knew him over the years of his success. God bless you Norm MacDonald and Godspeed 🙏
Norm totally shows respect and admiration towards Tom with all his anecdotes about Tom and his career. Tom exudes admiration of Norm through his intense focus and nervousness. Beautiful 🙂🇨🇦. Norm was such an honest, tell it like it is, no filter genius. No wonder they got along. 2 peas in a pod. Simply the best. ❤️🇨🇦
Toms stutters a little bit and he's uncomfortable, but he did a great job on follow-up, staying on track and digging in on really interesting questions. You can tell he's not just interviewing Norm but genuinely trying to learn from him. Rip Norm by the way. Crazy how Tom honed in on Norm's obsession with death. Norm said you should pity people with cancer which is why he didn't want anyone to know about his. Really great interview.
Nah thats just how Tom is, i'm convinced he has ADHD, i'm from canada and live about 2 hours away from where he grew up and started watching his cable access show he did from his parents house shortly after he started it and he has always been like that, Tom has known Norm for a long time, they lived about a block away from each other for awhile when they were both much younger and Tom mentions meeting Norm when he was doing standup in Ottawa which was right at the start of Norm's career. There's another episode of Norm on Tom's last show before this one, i think it may have been called Tom Green Live as well or maybe Tom Green's House, and Norm brought his 2 sons with him to the show so Tom had them come sit up where Norm was and was telling one of them about meeting Norm when younger and how they used to live right by each other.
What an absolute PLEASURE this was to watch. Tom has matured into a very good interviewer and God Bless Norm..every interview Nd appearance is now commedic gospel and hearing about his real life is fascinating.
@@xxbodycountxx7626 hmmm no kidding. You do mean the looking nervous thing right? Cuz I do know what you mean. He’s always kinda had that sorta nervous laughing that he does. But he seemed a little extra nervous with norm
I saw it was a video with norm in there and just assumed there’d be intermingled clips of that shirt lady wearing an assortment of norm merchandise in different posses and backgrounds.
Wow, when Dave told Norm after his firing to "come to CBS, we'll get you a show," he was serious. I never knew that. Much respect for Dave and may Norm rest in peace.
@@hey_its_travis more specifically, the emotional intelligence. So many things don't happen because one person just doesn't like someone else and can't get past that to make something good happen.
he looks pretty healthy and normal in this clip, but if you go watch his later podcasts after you know about the cancer its a little sad, you can really see how it prematurely aged him quicker, he got much greyer hair pretty quickly and he was really bloated and retaining water in his body, you could really see it in his face.
Norm speaking on thoughts of death here and in all his appearances over the last decade has a much deeper impact watching them now. What a brave man. R.I.P. Norm. Thank you for your humorous sensibility.❤️🇨🇦
"Christie Brinkley has filed for divorce from her husband, singer Billy Joel. The key moment, she said was when she realized that she was Christie Brinkley and that she was married to Billy Joel" is my favorite example
Okay..... so I just have to say that, of all the interviews he's been in (including the famous classics we have all enjoyed) an interview by Tom Green (of all people!) was the best interview I've ever seen him in. How is this even possible?
@@drdrew3 I think he did a whole special on the one subject of death. He also mentions in this interview how he was always ruminating about death. I agree there is some confirmation bias in other comments here though.
Norm was a genius. This crowd and Tom were oblivious to the subtle comedic jabs in this interview. RIP Norm!! You had a brilliant mind. Sucks...we need him, George Carlin, John Candy, Robin Williams, Don Rickles, etc. right now to put sense into this upside down inside out creepy world we now get to live in.
I disagree with how much going on with norm to bust out laughing and analyse everything would ruin his "stream of consciousness " Tommy's letting the bird fly in my humble opinion.
Thank you for posting this. Two of my personal favorite humans together. I often find though people I like, seem to gravitate towards others I like and vice versa. i.e. the ones I like will have grudges with others I don't like. And I see from the comments here, there are many like me. There's some sort of weird invisible unspoken connection going on there. Its also weird how we all show love to a loved one, after they're gone and the recipient misses out. Thanks Tom Green, Norm McDonald and other kindred spirit fans.
This might be my favorite Norm interview ever. Norm seems very relaxed and maybe a little drunk. All of these TG shows are really good and remind me of the old Tom Snyder Show.
Everyone who encountered norm they are so lucky, they're literally getting a free show from a genius. Norm is like a genius sacred turtle, he's slow in his punchlines but thats how he gets you unexpectedly.
jeez this is deep. im starting to think norm wanted to tell us all something, about how to not take life too seriously. about how to deal with death. all of these interviews about death, and nobody knew what he was even going through.
