Sorry if you havn't heard of this Guy you were missing a whole lot . I first heard of him in 1997 . I then had the pleasure of seeing him at the Barbados jazz, then twice at St Lucia jazz . He is a mixture of George Benson and Wes Montgommery
Love this! One of my favorites!I love seeing him in Concert! My 13 yr old granddaughter has a love and appreciation for his music since she had seen him perform. We can't wait to see him in Concert in August!
I live in the S.F. bay area and I do miss KKSF radio station!! I saw this back in 2005, what a great mix of many of his top hits, love the scatting (George Bensonesque)......Magical!!
Great sound and playing style. He's wonderfully melodic and that voice improvisation of the notes he's playing is really hard to do at that speed and execution. This guy's got talent. The fact he's even compared with GB puts him high in the ranks. Love your music Mr. Brown. I look forward to more Pop's Cool Groove
First time I ever heard norman brown his guitar was magical to my soul and I been listening every since I heard just between us I played it so much I'd make my girl mad😂👍
Can anyone help me with the name of the last track he did here on this video, ill like to add it to my bands set list.tks.....and great job Norman all all the way from sunny Trinidad and Tobago
Bay Area one of the biggest smooth jazz genre markets in the US....Najee, Albright, Norman, Kirk Whalum, and other SJ artist still sell out clubs and shows in the Bay.....
Jonathan, I feel ya on the 0:36 & 0:52 mess up (as you call it) but the only way you haven't done the same is if you've never played live bro... News Flash!! It happens...
One is always forgetting his/her physical existance for some time when listening to such music, if my English is understandable enough :-). Very nice, again . . . (!)
@jason77710, the song is "Take Me There" from Norman Brown's Album titled After The Storm. I have the CD, and it is really good….as is just about everything Norman Brown does!! Good luck!!
Actually, if he slowed it down it would sound more deliberate & rhythmic & less hyped up. Obviously, he can play as a virtuoso. I think he would have more impact playing slower & no less melodically. More deep strength.
The muslims are big fans of jazz, cool. Did not know that. Its just the youth that watch Rebecca Black and I dont want them at my shows anyways. I just saw GB on Oct. 1 for his first show of his Guitar Man tour. Norman is no GB, but he is equally as talented.
hIS FAVORITE MAN! gEORGE! THEY GOT A CLIP TOGETHER! ON RU-vid THEY BOTH PLAYED MAGICAL TOGETHER. TYPE IN GEORGE BENSON AND NORMAN BROWN IT WILL PULL IT UP!
George himself copied other people before him and evolved. Just like we all do. Only a few are lucky enough to get recognized for that certain something. And you may not know it, but no matter where you live, you can't swing a dead cat by the tail w/o hitting twenty guys better than yourself and even they're having a hard time making it. I think you're just jelly.
@SunsetBeachHawaii Sometimes it's just about making people feel good-not about getting respect from those who would rather spend their time being critics. You think this is a charade? To put the value of your comments in perspective, perhaps you should spend as many years practicing, then getting gigs to support yourself and a family, and then be told that your entire effort was and is in vain by an anonymous voice. Your comments add no value to Norman nor to the efforts of the human spirit.
