My great Uncle served in a sherman in WWII and again in Korea. I never realized how bad it was for him till seeing this movie. I remember being a kid and hearing him scream at night sometimes, scared me to death. he'd wake up and get upset apologizing for it. Wish I had understood this before he died.
My great grandpa road in the second armor with Patton and landed on D-Day in a sherman tank. He was the commander of his tank. His tank lit on fire after being hit by grenades and he saved his hoal crew by pulling them out of the tank. He then after the war became a fire man, never got to meet the man.
As a retired Abrams commander, I would like to say I am sorry for your losses and I salute these brave heros for not only their demotions of duty, but the sacrifices they made to protect us and the world. May these men find peace in heaven and guide us to a peaceful world. I know what it's like to watch or hear about someone you care for pass, when me and my brother got in our Abrams...we knew one wouldn't make it. He was the driver and a good one too, but when we were ambushed about a month into our deployment, he stricken by a rocket propelled grenade. I could only watch as he died in my arms. After that I not only used the Abrams in combat, but also as a way to transport and protect injured soldiers.
People forget how much this war affected the world. My grandpa? An SSI who managed to pull his love out of Poland before her entire family was annihilated while her relatives here in the states refused to believe "it was that bad.". And in a time with an all-volunteer defense force, its hard to grasp the fact that the guy you sat next to in math class would be drafted, handed a weapon, and told to rush a beach. We owe these men and women everything. God help us if we should ever forget.
Government should never be Trusted and always questioned that in itself will keep us free. Honor Respect and remember all those who came before you that laid down there lives for the freedoms you enjoy today and beware WE are the stewards of that freedom.
Warren Chambers It is our job and our job alone to shape the ideals of our nation for the good of all now and our future generations. Never forget the Greatest Generation and the war alone they were forced to fight.
Wake up young generetanion. We need to kill the old generation, they create all of this, war, propaganda and everything that they create to make us suffer.
Fury is one of the best war movie ever. Awesome, thrilling and realistically sad. Brad Pitt as Sergeant Wardaddy is King like as Achille in Troy movie. Honor, dedication, respect, brotherhood... Soundtrack gives you goosebumps garanteed. I like to listen it as I awake in the morning. I prefer to cry and have my heart enlightened. This wonderful track will be played at my funeral. Excellent job with this long version that is still too short. Repeat on and on. Thanks. Peace! 😀
Juan Antonio González Castro Define “more” ? More people enjoyed this movie than those who didnt as the movie performed really well in the box office. Only the loud minority made it seem bad.
@@retardcorpsman Of course. You need to watch the movie first and then you can say it's just a mediocre movie. There are always less people aware of the unrealistic that a movie is than those who only wants to see things exploding. For example : "T34" is a good movie, but also unrealistic. "Das Boot" is realistic and the best movie about submarines ever filmed. "U571" is a total crap... "Fury" is funny to see...but unrealistic. It is just like the food at McDonnals...
This movie is so good it reminds me of a great quote" There are no great men, there are only great challenges, which ordinary man like you and me are forced by circumstance to meet" William F Halsey
He kinda didn't see much action though, he is navy, rule out all action unless your ship gets wrecked. Fuckin the ladies and sailing the waves isn't exactly a "great challenge". Now that we are done with my navy hate moving onto his rank/post timing. So he sailed on Shaw without incident on convoy missions, In 35 he gets AC command which means action is effectively over. So he mean by that quote "You civilian drafts go charge the enemy lines under bombardment and the air force do bombing raids under heavy AA fire, while I'm just chilling here back in my tasty command ship and pose at banquets in my parade clothing." Fucking navy officers are shit. I respect the discipline and hardships of naval life okay, but I completely detest how they see themselves as the "sacrificing ones" while they barely do the dangerous military jobs compared to Army or old Airforce.
I Would Said The Same Things Know The Enemy Can Do To My Flesh But Not My Spirit So On Tht Scene it would Had Been Quick With Me But A Young Man I Would Do Same Thing Let Out The Bottom Door For His Safety.. Etc
I always did. When I watched this movie for the first time. Then, when I searched and found this soundtrack 2 - 3 years ago. .. And so on, cried every time, when I listened to this soundtrack. I don't know how to put all that in my words, I could never do that. ...
Fury for me was a fantastic film despite the handful of glaring inaccuracies put in there in order to add to the drama. As a tank crewman myself I appreciated a film which focused around the trials and tribulations of a tank crew, the nature of which is always very close knit due to the close proximity in which you live with each other. Also, I've often felt before that tanks are looked at by both the masses and individuals in the military as just that, tanks. Because we, the organic component are not as visible and in some instances totally invisible when the tank is closed down, it takes the human factor away from them. Whilst this is useful in as much as the enemy cannot see a tank crew panic in the same way they could see dismounted infantry move and react to their actions, it also means that through history we've not been considered as much as the infantry. The same could, of course, be said for many other subunit types and branches. So yeah, all in all, an excellent film and a fantastic musical score to match. The music in various parts I'd say add as much gravity to what's going on screen as the narrative.
Seen a lot of war movies and this movie by far is one of the best. The music heard in this movie will always be with me. Shit is deep! Still listening in 2022
Just watched this absolutely amazing 👏 10/10 Wardaddy : If a man loves the world, the love of the Father ain't in him. For all in the eyes, the pride of life, is not of the Father. But of the world. 😢 Beautiful Soundtrack 🎻
Elijah Gutierrez “If a man loves the world, the love of the Father ain't in him. For all in the eyes, the pride of life, is not of the Father. But of the world.”
What you said is exactly how it makes me feel too.... I can't listen to it with out tears rolling down my face, thinking about all the horrific things that happen in War....
Will always remember this music for all these soldiers who many times died when they tried to save the world. Glory you for ever. Thanks uploader. It makes my heart bleed.
I saw this movie when it was released, I saw it again couple of years after, and I just finished watching it, and this track.. this track just hits me every fucking time. Hey, you're a hero buddy!
This soundtrack is so legendary, the acting was amazing in this scene. I felt it through my bones, the loss, desperation, and the mentally sickening things these people went through in the war. Rip to the fallen. They can play this soundtrack at my funeral
Great uncle was a Sherman tanker. Tank was destroyed and he barely had enough time to get out of it. Body was full of shrapnel till the end of his days 50 years later. The blast from the panzer nearly killed him. Lost his best friend at the time in that blown Sherman. He couldn't talk about it much.
go on google type in "Fury skin download for wat thunder sherman tank" if you found it go to your war thunder folder, then go in user skin folder after you downloaded the fury skin put the skin in that folder and start up your war thunder. After that go to the final medium sherman tank and click on skins then you see Fury click on that and put the epic music in and go in an RB OR SB and kill the tigers ! I wish you the best of luck brother!
@@bala8740 I think the point is that ideals are immaterial, but to put them into practice often requires real violence to make others comply to them. As in, just wanting Germany to give up their ideals peacefully won't happen just because you wish it so. In this case the citizens killed themselves rather than deciding to surrender and live under American ideals and occupation. That's what he was teaching Norman. You will have to kill them to stop them, even if it goes against your ideals.
"And so, i watched my brothers die, and i died; this single breath moves my body across this world, only to remind those who carry the fight, that for what they died, for the freedom of those that cannot fight, for the voice of those that cannot speak; my brothers died."
“All would wish to go to heaven, but if I had to let the lord know my wish, is to unlock the gates of hell and let me run head first into the harrowing fires…. Let my blood fall, let my spirit get tossed, I am the knight who dared to step on Lucifer’s doorstep, when the world fell into his flames.” Me-
Bible was my favorite guy in the movie because i saw myself in him because i love jesus so much i could relate and the best scene in the movie to me is... then i heard the voice of the lord say whom shall i send and who will go for us and i said here am i send me... that scene brings me to tears every time. and this song is amazing
Listen to this whilst imagining a war torn europe. Burning villages, panicking wilflife decimated landscapes, bodies, homeless, burning Nazi flags, artillery fire & planes over head. Truly humanitys darkest time. Its hard to believe sometimes it actually happened. I think about it atleast once or twice a week. All that death, anguish despair & suffering.
The cast was perfectly chosen. And to say they had a budget, the production team squeezed every penny out of it and pushed this movie in the right direction. Filmed in Hertfordshire, England. Well done men and ladies.
There’s a verse I think about sometimes. Many times. “I heard the voice of the Lord saying, who should I send, who will go for us, then I said, here am I, send me” Isaiah 6:8
This was such an amazing movie. Sure, there were some inaccuracies, but the feelings that you got from it (and the phenomenal music) are sublime. In my opinion, the thing that makes a war movie good is the emotions that are conveyed. You will never truly understand what your forefathers, fathers, and brothers went through, but to just comprehend it a bit shows the horrors of war.
This movie was based on 2 actual events cobbled into one movie. One in WW1 and the WW2. "War Daddy" was the real nick name of the tank leader Lafayette G. Pool and his crew. His crew were veterans of many battles and their actual tank was called "In the mood". Brad Pitt plays Pool. The second actual event was a WW1 tank that got stuck in a ditch in no mans land after a tank assault. The crew were surrounded by German soldiers and the Germans attacked this single tank for more than 3 days. Day and night the crew fought the Germans off. Every assault were repelled by the crew. The crew did make it back into friendly lines after fighting for so long, they realized no help was coming. The tanks nickname was "Frey Bentos" Fury is basically these two real events. It's not just a movie. These things did happen.
Yarnhub has an episode on the in the mood and Lafayette. His tank was hit and he had to saw his foot off. Please consider watching that Yarnhub episode its really good.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.” “If you're going through hell, keep going.” "Everyone has this day, and some days last longer than others." -Winston Churchill
This film has one of the best character development ever, Norman a young man who was thrown into a tank and was not ready to kill but quickly learned to do otherwise, he even became the first man to volunteer standing his ground with the Sergeant (initiating everyone else to do the same). By doing this, he made himself and all the tank crew a warhero in the end. The music hits hard at the end of the movie...
I’ll always be proud as hell of my Grandpa who was in a submarine (USS Sawfish) in the Pacific. He received the Silver Star for his service, but never talked too much about it. It kills me that I still have so much to talk to him about. We will never see another generation of hard fucks like that again. Forever lost, but forever remembered...I hope
You can change that today. Teach the next generation what your grandfather fought for and what it means to be an American. Never give up, never give in and be better. That is American...We will see another great generation and it starts with you.
when i first watched it {recommended by my fiance, i was like, oh yawn another war film} In thought it was OK. Now, I've watched it many times. I'm hooked o it. especially the battle scenes. and how they work perfect together. each cast member suit their roles, I think.
The power of the song in this movie reflects the impact this war had on so many people's lives and still does to this day. What a song and movie. A must watch for everyone.
Fury lets you dive into the life of Sherman tank crews. So badly outmatched by the Tiger1E but still having a stupendous advantage in numbers. But even when they were outnumbered 10 to 1 the Germans still fought back hard. Quoting Brad Pitt "The war will end soon, but before it does a lot more people gotta die" Only those of us who have actually been there can understand the horror of the war. Even when so close to victory the war for the Allies was not glorious but a brutal horrific battle. This music really captures that.
An unappreciated and for many misunderstood movie.... Good music, movie, story. this is 45min is circle again again again ... like quote in midle of movie .... " where you go ? ...size next city ...and next city (we will lost our mens, you lost yours) until your pride will broke and you give up.....dealt with lost war. Good base for discusions. I am 30 years old. I did not cry when they died and at the funerals of my close relatives. But with great events, they have a hundred times larger scales, like here in movies and music like this one. I think what I watch and listen to. He realizes what the war brings and what different scenarios are written and what despite the wars in the past, people do each other more or less consciously. They are wasting so much effort that all those fighting in the past have suffered, and now instead of doing everything not to waste it, they do a lot of mindless, unnecessary, stupid, harmful, short-term things or not benefiting in the long run. What you can not do now in time of peace and need, would be useful to do for the greater good .... what, what behaviors lead to war. What kind of sacrifice soldiers carry as an order or with free will. And the throat squeezes and tears come out of my eyes. I am more or less trying to understand, empathize or even identify with events.
I used to think the M4 Sherman was just the most badass tank ever. Upon further research, I quickly find out that Germans had nick-named the damn thing "tommy-cooker" and "Ronson"(reliable cigarette lighter) b/c it erupted into flame often with just 1 hit from opposing panzers or AT guns. However, it is somewhat a relief to understand that U.S. recalled upgrades to the turret and cannon of the already issued Shermans. One upgrade being a significantly more powerful cannon, adding a 75 or 76mm gun and even in some upgrades, adding a 105mm howitzer. This gave American tank crews a much better chance of penetrating enemy tanks and eliminating the much feared panzer 4's and in some cases even more monstrous tanks such as the Tiger(which was actually barely used by the Germans because of its late production date and inability to maneuver rough terrain) Anyways, love this epic ass music. It's awesome to have playing in the background when i play my war-type games which i have a lot of lol..
The Germans destroyed 4 shermans for every 1 tiger or panzer destroyed. For every 1 tiger or panzer built, the Americans built 20 shermans. You can stop a few drops of water but not a Tsunami. That is what made the movie so sad, the American tank crews knew what the numbers meant and just hoped they were not one of the four.
@@markusweiss254 I wouldn't say it was the best tank of the war, in my eyes there was none. Each nation involved used tanks which were designed to fulfill its roles. For example the sherman and its various variants were designed to be easily transported. Both across the Pacific and Atlantic. So it had to be more of a general purpose tank. Witt the US able to crank out a crap ton due to its simpler design. Whereas, the germans new they did not possess the ability to out produce the Soviet war machine or the american. Therefore large behemoths like the tiger with great armour and gun. Means that it can kill lots of the mass produced tanks. Therefore I feel that there is no best tank of ww2 but only good or bad tanks used for their respective roles depending on the country. Weather that be to a failure or success. That's my opinion, you can have your own not trying to put ye down.
@@markusweiss254 Best tank isn't the best one on statics. Best tank is what fulfills the needs (Sherman's and T-34's for example) They weren't so powerful but they did their job(what they were designed for) very well
Excellent film depicting the horrors of war and to honour those that really did loose there lives for us the and future generations. But the world is changing and we could be back there soon as issues all around the world, lets hope not, but remember there courage. 😢❤
This is so powerful man. Just like the film. Epic. To imagine Nazi earth is horrifying. The sacrifice those soldiers made was tremendous. So tremendous it sometimes makes me feel like i wasnt worth it. Respect to them forever.
I’m a new nurse working In the er, and when shits goin nuts-ppl packed in the lobby, ambulances backed up at the door, ppl around me dying, getting new pts right after discharging, running around like a chicken w no head, tons of charting to do, no lunch, no piss, new pt in the hallway- I think of this movie and I say to myself “best job Iv ever had”
